Chapter 322 Josh's Hesitation
The prince did not respond. He quietly flipped through the report on the table and said without raising his head: "Galahad, go to Castel Island."
"When, Your Highness?"
"Soon. I talked to them not long ago. They are going to send a ship to send Connor and his group back first. You go with them and learn more about Castel's situation and contact Count Hughes. I will tell them about this matter."
Galahad was stunned for a moment, then he said, "They're only sending Connor back? You mean, Zoe and Erwin are going to stay here?"
It doesn't matter if Zoe stays, but Erwin is obviously the military attaché in charge of military affairs in Castel. Why should he stay here?
Galahad frowned subconsciously.
But before he could say anything, there was a commotion outside. They both turned their heads to see a servant running over with a panicked look on his face:
"Your Highness! Something happened at Blood Harbor!"
"Master Priest, we have some news."
Josh looked at the white-haired little girl with amusement. She was politely telling him the information she had gathered. She was thin and small, sitting there like a quiet cat - if you ignore the fact that she was slurping the hot porridge.
She seemed to be particularly fond of this rice porridge. Although she did not show any sign of it on her face, she refused to put down the bowl of porridge in her hand.
Feeling that it would be a loss to take in these street kids, Josh smiled and shook his head, pretending to listen carefully: "What news?"
"The Castelian ships are leaving Blood Harbor."
Josh's fingers trembled and the smile on his face faded.
He had been hesitating whether to contact those people. He knew Erwin, who used to be a fisherman and now became a captain. On the other hand, he had bought a batch of goods on credit from the lord, but now he didn't make much money and became the leader of a cult. He felt quite ashamed to face them.
"They are going back." Qiao Xi's voice was dry and a little bitter.
"Master Priest, aren't you going back with us? You are also from Castel, right?" Gwen asked in a low voice while slurping his porridge with his head down.
Josh's body stiffened.
"How do you know!"
Well, actually, those Castel people were asking around about Josh, and even asked about the homeless children on Gwen's side, so she investigated. Josh didn't try to hide it too much, so he was easily discovered.
But it’s hard to say.
"Guess."
"ah?"
"Only those people in Castel would like to read so much. They always carry a book with them when they go shopping. I've mistaken them for priests many times."
Gwen curled her lips and said, "Master High Priest, you are organizing literacy training in the secret society. It is said that only the most terrible and evil sects would do this, like the Fire Moth."
"Yes, is that so?" Josh scratched his head. He didn't do this on purpose. It was mainly because there were so many refugees from the North. When they were first taken in, these people were in poor condition and it was difficult for them to find jobs in Blood Harbor. Josh wanted to find something for them to do, so he remembered that Zeus had established a school.
Josh didn’t really know what the purpose of establishing a school was, but he went to night school, learned to read, and saw many magical machines, which he found very interesting and he liked them very much.
Therefore, he followed suit and opened a literacy class among the refugees. Many students from the advanced classes came with him. After teaching the literacy class, he also started teaching the knowledge of the advanced class.
After the sea dried up, all the graduates of the advanced class who were on the Black Pearl stayed in Blood Harbor. After they joined, Josh was surprised to find that he seemed to have collected all the courses that the advanced class could learn.
Gradually, rumors began to spread around that they were learning knowledge secretly.
This evil behavior was immediately identified as the Church of the Evil God. Josh originally wanted to explain and come here to dispel the rumors.
But he soon discovered that after being regarded as a cultist, the surrounding forces suddenly became friendly, and those guys who bullied them, the refugees, suddenly began to be polite.
Then, Blood Harbor became a complete mess, and Josh was completely out of options. He could only pretend to be a cultist, made up a random name and doctrine, and began to live a miserable life in Blood Harbor.
As a result, they became the largest cult force in Blood Harbor. Josh was confused and swore that he had done nothing except distributing rice porridge.
It was obvious that holy water was just a made-up name, and the doctrine had flaws that could be seen at a glance, but the believers looked at him with more and more pious eyes.
Rice porridge is just ordinary rice porridge. Apart from filling your stomach, it can’t cure any disease. However, more and more people gathered around Qiao Xi.
"Those Castel people won't be able to leave until later. They are still in their mansion in the upper city. Aren't you going to go look for them?"
"Well, let me think about it."
Josh hesitated for a moment and prepared to discuss it with his other companions.
He has become the leader of a cult, and there is probably no place for him in Castel, but it is different for others.
There are still many former members of the advanced class here. Lord Zeus will not reject all of them, right?
Josh had lost all his relatives long ago, but many of them still had homes in Castel.
If they asked to return with the ship, Erwin would definitely agree.
Josh put on his hood and called several of his companions together to discuss the matter.
"What!? They are going back?" The companions almost jumped up after hearing this, and joy appeared on their faces.
"That's great, that's great. It's been half a year since I came out. Dad and the others should have missed me a long time ago!"
"I heard that the prince released them? Would the prince be so kind? Never mind. It's a good thing that I can go back."
"Josh, are you coming back with us?"
Several people looked over together.
"I, I won't go back." Qiao Xi's face was bitter. "Please help me tell the Lord that I will slowly pay back the goods I owe him."
"You have helped the lord take in so many refugees. Lord Hughes will not make things difficult for you, right?"
Qiao Xi's face darkened: "He asked me to take in refugees, but he didn't ask me to take in cultists. If he knew that I was taking a boat full of cultists back, he would be furious. Even if he doesn't care, Miss Chloe from the Candlelight Society would mind, right?"
Josh and the others left too early, when Chloe was still presiding over the candlelight service at the church.
Of course, there was no Candlelight Church or Chloe in Castel now.
