Chapter 353 A Different Rebellion
Gwen frowned as she looked at the bodies in the room.
She was standing in a secret basement at the moment. This was the lower city of Blood Harbor, a place of filth and foulness. The cultists were like mushrooms growing in dark corners, and they could never be killed.
This group of cultists were so blind that they came to her house when she was in a bad mood. Gwen patiently examined them carefully for a while, and only after confirming that their crimes were unforgivable did she call on her friends to send them away.
Soon, she and her group of friends were the only ones left in the room.
[There seem to be fewer cultists recently.]
〖Indeed, I used to be able to see them just by walking a few steps outside, but now this group of people are hiding in their base and won't come out.〗
〖And they seem to be unable to find any sacrifices. In the past, they could occasionally rescue a few people, but now there are more cultists than sacrifices.〗
"It must be because of the Mother Goddess Church. There is no shortage of food there now. Who would be willing to go to the cultists and exchange their lives for food if they can have something to eat?"
"Shh, keep your voice down. Gwen will be unhappy when she hears this topic. She is actually very concerned about Mira's affairs."
〖It’s all little Gwen’s fault. Why does she say Mira is like her mother? She has never even seen Gwen’s mother!〗
〖Alas, we have never seen it. In fact, Gwen has almost forgotten it, so she got angry when she heard this〗
"Ahhh, you guys are so noisy!" Gwen covered her ears and shook her head. Mira did give her some special feeling, and she missed that kind of care. But that's not the point!
Gwen has been feeling uneasy lately, as if something bad is about to happen and she can't do anything about it.
She could only vent her anger by killing more cultists who were wreaking havoc in Blood Harbor, and also help Josh solve the security problems in the vicinity.
However, order in Blood Harbor was slowly being restored, and even a child like Gwen could feel it.
She didn't understand the game played by the big shots. She only knew that the people she met were gradually becoming more energetic, the hunger on their faces was gradually disappearing, and there was light in their eyes.
Even the officiating priest Josh had a smile on his face.
This was obviously a good thing, but the bad feeling in her heart became stronger and stronger.
Giving a glance at the corpses piled up in the room, Gwen covered her nose and walked out of the basement. She didn't like the basement, which always reminded her of the little nest in the North where she had stayed for a long time.
But the moment she walked out of the basement, she keenly sensed that something was wrong.
Why is it so noisy outside?
Screams, cries, roars, and all kinds of chaotic sounds instantly filled her eardrums.
Chaos!? Gwen's eyes widened.
If the lower city of Blood Harbor were to become chaotic, it must be because something had happened to at least one of the Secret Order and the Church of the Mother Goddess. Gwen didn't want anything to happen to either side.
Figures emerged in her mind one after another. Gwen subconsciously clenched her teeth, turned around and rushed towards the territory of the secret order, surrounded by her translucent friends.
Unconsciously, in addition to these imaginary friends, she also had some more people she cared about in reality.
The other side.
Josh and Zoe were still drinking tea in the house. They had many things to discuss - Castel was ready to receive the Secret Order, but there was still a lot to discuss about how to deal with these refugees from the North.
Moreover, the Secret Order is a very influential force in Blood Harbor. Zeus does not intend to pack them up and take them away directly, but wants to try to use this influence to make the Secret Order serve as a bridge and bond between Castel and the outside world.
Of course, this doctrine must be changed. First of all, we must no longer mention that Theus is a god.
In fact, since he knew that Castel had not disappeared, Josh was so scared that he immediately stopped all religious ceremonies and burned all the fabricated scriptures overnight.
Fortunately, although Xiusi did not intend to give up the pursuit, he did not exclude the entire secret society, which means that he might only punish Josh and a few others.
They were quite accepting of this result. If they had been afraid of death, they would never have established the secret order. Now that these refugees had been saved, they were happy with any punishment from Zeus.
Of course, it would be best if there was no punishment.
Josh and Zoe talked in this relaxed atmosphere. The memo alone was more than ten pages long, and the future destination of the refugees had been basically planned.
So when the two saw their mother-in-law looking anxious, they were extremely surprised.
The news brought by the mother-in-law was like a bomb dropped into the water, causing tsunamis in the hearts of the two.
"What!? The Mother Goddess Church launched a rebellion!?"
The expression on Zoe's face was not surprise, but confusion. She seemed not to understand and repeated it again, then disbelief gradually appeared in her eyes.
"How is it possible? How is it possible? We just talked to Mira. She, she..."
Zoe and Josh looked at each other, both of them were equally confused: they had successfully contacted Mira, and the chief priest of the Mother Goddess Church was not a crazy fanatic, but very easy to talk to, so why did they inexplicably start a rebellion? The Mother Goddess Church had no shortage of food at the moment, Castel extended an olive branch to them, the Secret Order had no intention of being hostile, and even the prince had a tacit understanding, so they had no reason to cause trouble.
"Is it possible? Is this a conspiracy of the prince?"
They had already seen the prince's skills. Was the Lord of Blood Harbor using these cultists as his weapons again? The last time the nobles were massacred was too coincidental. After careful analysis, the people of Castel believed that it was probably a conspiracy by the prince. Following this line of thought, they also found some clues.
The mother-in-law shook her head. "No, I came from the Upper City. The prince was also caught off guard, and they got nothing from the rebellion. The nobles in Blood Harbor have been wiped out, and the prince has actually taken control of this place. Recently, it has indeed been developing step by step."
"Why is that?"
No one could answer this question. They didn't have time to think about it carefully. They still had a lot to do. Josh needed to organize the believers. The chaos was already a fait accompli. They could only try to be prepared.
On the other hand, the mother-in-law led the Crusaders to move closer to the territory of the Secret Order. One reason was to protect the refugees from the North, and the other was to stay away from the prince.
Castel was willing to trust the prince's skills, but not necessarily his character. Last time, Castel's Crusaders were used to force Mira to retreat. This time, there were more Crusaders, so they had to be careful not to fall into the prince's trap again.
Josh had just asked his believers to pick up their weapons when he was surprised to run into Gwen.
The little girl from the North was coming over with a group of homeless children. When she saw him, she immediately spoke in a hurry: "Master Priest, this rebellion is different from the previous ones. The streets outside are full of monsters!"
