Chapter 370 Steel and Banshee
The bullets formed a line and poured down like a rainstorm.
Kyle turned his head stiffly, and after seeing the tall figures, the remaining fear and confusion on his face suddenly faded away, revealing a relieved smile.
The banshees are coming.
They were wearing heavy armor, their six arms were full of weapons, and their hand-cranked Gatling guns were spinning madly. With every rotation, bullets flew out and merged into the storm-like barrage.
The sound of metal colliding with metal, the friction between metal and the ground, the impact of gunpowder explosion, and the whistling of bullets through the air all combined together, like the sacred chant of steel.
Even on the battlefield, even with a terrifying monster in front of him, Kyle couldn't help but be dazed for a moment.
The sea water seemed to surge up again, and the scene in front of me was full of fishmen and arm monsters. They rushed up wailing, and the memories of the past overlapped with the reality.
And the tall figure in heavy armor, like a god walking among the earth, came to them just as he had done in the past.
The sound of gunfire has never been so reassuring.
The eyes of the crusaders gradually became filled with fanaticism. They chanted holy scriptures and cheered for the arrival of reinforcements.
"We are the Banshees of Castel, and we come here at the will of the Earl." Ash's cold voice echoed everywhere.
"Now, we take over the battlefield."
She did not wait for the prince's reply; this was a declaration, not a negotiation.
The formation of the banshees changed rapidly, and each of them flew in a different direction, surrounding the monster in front of them.
[Mother] smashed her arm down without hesitation. The attacks that had made the Crusaders exhausted from escaping were now like slow motion, and the banshees dodged them easily.
They were wearing heavy armor, and one could tell how heavy it was by just listening to the dull sound of steel colliding. However, on the banshees, the armor was so light that it seemed as if it didn't exist, and it didn't affect their movements at all.
The coordination of the banshees was almost perfect. Although there was no communication between them, they seemed to have telepathic connection. They attacked, covered, evacuated and counterattacked as if they were performing a graceful dance rather than facing a giant as tall as a mountain on the battlefield.
The soldiers of the Harbor Guard were frightened by the "Mother", and when they saw the iron giant Banshee, they thought they were about to die. But after hearing Ash's declaration, they slowly realized that these people were here to help them. The soldiers didn't know what the supernatural was, they just thought they were messengers from the gods, and they all knelt on the ground, praying in fear or fanaticism.
In their panic, they could not remember much. Some were chanting the Banshee, some were chanting Castel, and some were even muttering "My Lord Earl".
The prince stood among the soldiers, his face livid as he listened to them kneeling and praying to Hughes.
Galahad stood aside, his eyes shining with wonder - he had fought on the battlefield countless times, so he naturally knew how strong the fighting power of the Banshees in front of him was. They had just arrived at the battlefield, but they took the initiative almost instantly.
The banshees seemed to be avoiding the attack of "Mother", but before they knew it, this huge monster had moved away from the Crusaders and the Harbor Guards. This exquisite coordination was beyond Galahad's imagination.
And this is just their fighting skills. As for their weapons, Galahad swallowed hard.
The thick steel gun was covered with pipes, which eventually connected to the metal barrels on their backs.
Galahad was a connoisseur of goods. The Mechanical Templar was once very close to the royal family, and even a member of the Ruan family had become their mechanical priest.
He recognized that the Banshees were holding the steam rifles of the Mechanical Templar.
But, but isn't this a sacred object of the oil men? The manufacturing method of this powerful weapon has long been lost. It is said that there are only a few in existence, and most of them are worshipped in their temples. Not to mention using it, just looking at it requires a variety of complicated rituals to please the mechanical spirit.
But there were three of these weapons in Ash's hands alone. Isn't this thing so heavy that it requires several people to lift it, and only the Mechanical Priest can use it with difficulty?
Galahad took a deep breath and took great effort to move his eyes away from the steam rifle. Although this thing was outrageous, at least he knew about it and it was within his understanding.
What are those spinning tubes?
Galahad was no fool, he knew it was some kind of musket, but wasn't the procedure for a musket to be shoot - load - shoot?
Even a bolt-action rifle was within Galahad's understanding. It was nothing more than loading gunpowder and loading bullets together. But the weapon in the banshee's hand made a "da da da da da" sound. Galahad was a transcendent and his hearing was far better than that of ordinary people. Even so, he had to try his best to distinguish the intervals between the bullets.
It is no exaggeration to say that the firepower of these dozen or so banshees in front of us is much more exaggerated than that of the entire port guards combined.
How many Banshees are there? How many machine guns that can fire continuously are there? How many are there in the harbor guards?
Galahad felt that his experiences of the past few decades were like waste paper in front of Castel, and any common sense and experience could not be applied to this magical island.
It was more terrifying than the evil god, and just the little bit of truth that was revealed inadvertently made Galahad feel like he was going crazy.
It is incomprehensible and indescribable. The only thing that can be understood is their strength.
Suddenly, the knight holding the long sword remembered when it all started. He sent someone to steal a booklet, which was said to be the holy book of this group of crusaders.
Galahad opened it as if he had found a treasure, but the first thing he saw was a confusing sentence:
Knowledge is power.
“Knowledge.Power”
The sound of the sword falling to the ground was drowned out by the storm of bullets.
The other side.
Ash raised his head and looked through the visor at the [Mother] who was wailing and attacking, and couldn't help but frown.
While dodging the opponent's attack, she asked in the mind link: "How many bullets do we have left?"
The banshees immediately responded noisily.
"That's less than a third of what we've used."
"Wait, you guys actually used so much? I just came up with a full box of bullets on my back!"
"Don't you see how fast we're using up our energy? I have three Gatling guns in my hands and I've been shooting non-stop. I've even changed the barrel once!"
"Wow, at this rate, won't the bullets run out soon?"
"Don't worry, Lady Ash has already made arrangements. Didn't you notice that she is directing us to move southeast?"
"Southeast direction. I see. I understand, Master Ash!"
Ash nodded. This needed no additional explanation. To the southeast was the ocean.
