Chapter 601 Smash!
It's a stereotype that Northerners love to use the flail to behead people, but Nora and Gwen really like it.
The only difference is that Nora pays more attention to the sense of ritual. She has to chant the scriptures, light the incense, and hammer the doctrine into the minds of the pagans.
Gwen is more straightforward and crude, she thinks that smashing people's heads is a kind of doctrine in itself.
Of course, those were all things of the past. Now, they are probably the only two or three active believers in the Temple of Silence, and neither of them has a formal establishment in the temple.
Nora was expelled, and Gwen was never formally baptized.
Therefore, the two of them had no qualms about knocking the heads of the church priests. Looking at the slightly raised corners of Nora's mouth, it was hard to tell whether there was some personal grudge mixed in.
Richard was the most worried person among the people present. He hesitated for a moment, but still stepped forward to stop them: "You guys, are you planning to smash it directly?"
It's true that the Undertaker is a transcendent being, and he does have a high degree of immortality, but it doesn't look like he could withstand a blow from the flail.
The person is still unconscious now. If he is hit by a flail and his brain is smashed to pieces, wouldn't it be considered as intentional murder by Castel?
If this explanation is unclear, the Empire and Castel might start a war.
Gwen and Nora looked at each other, both of them looking a little unnatural.
"Of course not!"
"How could it be!"
Nora cleared her throat. "Well, I'm planning on having Gwen perform the awakening ritual for the Silent Temple. The main ritual implement happens to be a flail. Gwen, go get me a helmet."
"Yes, Master Nora."
Gwen brought a heavy metal helmet. Nora looked at the helmet with a hint of nostalgia and emotion in her eyes.
This is the helmet of the Icefield Heavy Armor, the standard equipment of the priests of the Silent Temple. Nora also wore this armor to charge into battle.
I used to feel that the helmet’s tilt angle design had some flaws and could easily get stuck on my neck, but now I don’t have that concern anymore.
After all, she has no neck to get stuck on.
Gwen looked at Nora with a nostalgic look, scratched her head, and then showed a look of realization.
She walked forward and snapped the helmet onto Nora's shoulders.
Nora: ".What are you doing?"
"Lord Nora, aren't you missing the feeling of wearing a helmet? I'll help you put it on!"
Gwen said as she reached out and patted the helmet. Lady Nora must be in great pain now. The helmet must be the only armor she can wear. She didn't know if Castel had any skills that could allow Lady Nora to stand up again and charge into battle with her.
"I don't have it." Nora's voice was muffled. "And you put it on backwards."
"What!?" Gwen hurriedly picked up Nora and saw that she had indeed put it on the wrong way. Nora's smooth white long hair was falling out from the visor of the helmet.
"Yes, I'm sorry! Lady Nora!"
Nora was quickly straightened and put aside, and Gwen took out a heavy ice armor helmet.
These priests of the Temple of Silence were sent here fully equipped, and there was plenty of that stuff here.
After putting the helmet on the priest lying on the bed, Gwen picked up the flail and swung it, then looked at Nora beside her: "Lady Nora, what is the specific ceremony?"
"Gather your strength on the Chain Incense Burner and it will ignite. Yes, that's it."
Green smoke slowly wafted out of the flail hammer in Gwen's hand, and Gwen opened her eyes wide in surprise.
“So simple?”
".It's actually not that simple. You need to pray according to the rituals of the Silent Temple and use special methods to drive extraordinary power. Forget about your words."
Nora glanced at Gwen, who looked confused, and sighed.
Nora discovered that these rituals were a bit redundant for Gwen, and she seemed to be able to skip some less important steps.
"Wow, this flail, I mean the incense burner, is really a little different!" Gwen's eyes widened, looking at the wooden handle in her hand in surprise. "I seem to be able to infuse my will into it!"
"Of course. Most of the priests in the Silent Church are not good at speaking. Smashing doctrine into their heads isn't just a fancy term; it really can be pounded in. Of course, you don't understand the church's doctrines right now, so you can just pound in the thoughts that awaken them."
Gwen nodded excitedly. Suddenly, she thought of something and asked curiously, "This method of directly transmitting one's will seems to be free from the constraints of language. Is that possible?"
Nora nodded, then her hair was nearly caught in the falling visor. "That's right. When we encounter barbarians who don't speak the same language, we use this method to communicate. So this incense burner can actually be considered a translator. If you meet someone you can't communicate with in the future, you can use the incense burner to reason with them."
"I understand! Lady Nora!"
Richard, who was standing aside, looked at the flail in Gwen's hand, then looked at Nora whose hair was stuck, and swallowed back the words that were about to come to his throat.
The flail can't be used to reason, but it can certainly be used to make sense. To some extent, Nora is right.
"Okay, smash it, remember"
Bang!
".Be gentle."
Nora looked at the dent in the helmet and the corner of her mouth twitched.
That was a helmet made of heavy ice armor that could withstand even frontal fire from a musket. Gwen's flail dented it.
Hope everyone is okay.
"Master Nora, it works!"
Gwen excitedly pointed at the priest lying on the bed. Although he had not yet woken up, his eyelids had begun to twitch slightly, as if he was desperately trying to open his eyes.
"I feel like a few more hits will be enough to wake him up!"
Richard was a little overwhelmed at the time. He felt that it was the priest's survival instinct that was awakened, and if he didn't wake up, he would never wake up again.
"Is your method scientific?" he couldn't help but ask.
“Does the scientific method work?”
“.”
"Well, Mr. Richard, our method may not be scientific enough, but it should be physical enough. This is a standard physical method."
It's strange to say, how come the Silent Temple is so proficient in physical awakening methods?
The process that followed was very boring. After Gwen discovered that this awakening method was effective, he swung the flail in his hand, leaving afterimages, smashing and shouting:
"Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! Give me! Wake up!"
I have to say, the momentum is still very strong.
The weapons and armor of the Silent Temple are known for their solid workmanship and excellent quality, but Gwen actually broke the heaviest ice heavy armor helmet.
Richard's eyes twitched, and he felt a tremor in his heart every time Gwen swung the weapon, but luckily it wasn't him who was hit.
