Chapter 6 Both Things Are Settled

The next day, Wang Changjiang finally behaved himself and learned his lesson, and didn't do anything weird again.

Hua Yuanyuan would not waste any extra energy on such a stranger.

Neither of them paid any attention to the other, and no one said a single unnecessary word.

There are three properties in total.

The first one is the three western rooms in the homeowner’s house, which he wants to rent out to earn some money to supplement his family income.

The owners of the house are two elderly people who have separated from their sons and live on their own.

The rent is two yuan per room per month. There is a brick bed and a big pot outside for cooking.

The two old men were very welcoming and looked nice, unlike the one with a pointed chin and monkey face who looked unkind.

Hua Yuanyuan was not in a hurry to make a decision. She would wait until she had finished reading it all.

In the second house, only the westernmost room of the north house is rented out.

A large family, three generations living together, live in five rooms.

The rent is not cheap, only two dollars per room.

This is not something I would consider at all. There are too many people and it would be very inconvenient.

The third house is in the southernmost row of the village, in the southwest corner.

The first two houses are in the village, but this one is relatively far away.

There is a dirt road to the south of the house, and in front of it is a wheat field.

At this time, there was no green in the wheat field. It was covered with snow and looked white.

A newly built tiled house with six rooms.

There was a pile of firewood against the wall to the left of the black wooden door. There was a screen wall at the entrance and a large bare yard with nothing in it.

Uncle Wang, who was showing the house, was the owner’s father.

His son built this house, and had just moved in and hadn't even had time to clean it up when he moved to the city.

The house became vacant and was given to the old couple to live in.

They don't want to live there, their own old house is fine.

There are troops nearby, and some people in the village also rent houses out.

My son requested that the house must be rented to one family and not to multiple families.

This is a difficult problem as the rent for the entire yard is fifteen dollars.

Anyone who spends so much money is not a rich person and lives a tight life.

This house has been left unrented for several months.

Hua Yuanyuan fell in love with the new house at first sight. It was bright and clean and had been thoroughly cleaned.

There was no dirt on the table when I touched it, it seemed that someone came to clean it regularly.

Basic furniture is available.

Really good.

Hua Yuanyuan went around every room and then talked to Uncle Wang directly.

Long-term lease, three-year contract.

Uncle Wang was so happy that he almost lost his sight. He was so happy that he had met his destined person. Finally, someone was renting the house.

He said he would ask his son, but it wasn’t a big problem.

After looking at houses in the morning, Uncle Wang got on his bike and went to the city to find his son.

At nine o'clock the next morning, I signed the contract and paid one month's rent.

The deposit is one month's rent, one month's deposit and one month's rent.

A rental contract is the simplest, which specifies the rent and rental period.

Uncle Wang’s son requested an additional clause: if the rents in the surrounding areas increased during these three years, they would adjust them up according to the market price.

Hua Yuanyuan agreed, but then she said that if she didn't rent the house anymore, the deposit would not be returned.

As for three years later, we’ll talk about it then.

Wang Changjiang didn't know that Hua Yuanyuan had rented this house. When he looked at the house on the first morning, this was the last one, so he took the person to his place and left.

On the night we signed the contract for the house, it was the same people and the same office.

Under the dim light, Hua Yuanyuan and Wang Changjiang signed a divorce agreement witnessed by Political Commissar Liu Shengli, his wife Zhang Xiaofang, and Hao Li.

Hua Yuanyuan received two thousand and sixty-four yuan on the spot.

Hao Li was chosen by Hua Yuanyuan. Why did she choose him?

Maybe it was because when she hit someone that day, the other person didn't come to stop her.

Then there was the feeling that this person and Wang Changjiang did not seem to be close comrades-in-arms.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

It was Wang Changjiang who called Political Commissar Liu, and it was Political Commissar Liu who called his wife, just in case, if there was another fight, he was counting on his wife to mediate.

He was overthinking it. These two people didn't say a word.

Hua Yuanyuan was very happy and asked them to help her look at the pay slip.

Hua Yuanyuan took the money and her copy of the agreement, and asked for help in buying a train ticket, preferably a sleeper berth. She thanked everyone and left.

When Zhang Xiaofang returned home, she started sighing and nagging to Liu Shengli for some reason.

"Old Liu, the more happier Comrade Hua is, the more upset I feel."

"You still want to see her cry and make a scene, or hit someone?"

Political Commissar Liu had a very bad impression of Hua Yuanyuan and couldn't talk to her nicely.

"What did she say? How could Wang Changjiang not divorce? Just now, she didn't even know how much Wang Changjiang was paid. Not only that, she didn't even know how he got promoted... In short, she knew nothing."

Thinking of this, Zhang Xiaofang felt depressed. She was angry at Hua Yuanyuan's ignorance and annoyed at Wang Changjiang's dishonest behavior.

Is this your wife? Don't tell your wife anything. She doesn't understand. Tell her.

Any woman with a little bit of scheming, seeing Wang Changjiang's future, would know that she cannot let this man go.

When Wang Changjiang reaches Lao Liu's age, he may become a regiment commander, brigade commander, or division commander.

Liu Shengli didn't say anything and just read the newspaper.

Zhang Xiaofang was talking to herself, "No, Lao Liu, do you think Wang Changjiang's career has been going so smoothly only after he got married? Is he not afraid of divorce? Is his luck gone?"

The saying that a woman can bring good luck to her husband is very metaphysical.

"Student Zhang, I must criticize you seriously here. In the new society, we must believe in science, not superstition..."
