Bang! Bang!
Lawrence's massive body possessed an unimaginable sense of speed. With a simple hook punch, he blocked out the moonlight in the cell, knocking Jacob and Evie away, and smashing through the wooden stakes of the cell.
"Are you really not afraid of death for the Black Crow Gang?" Lawrence, now with a wider range of movement, casually grabbed the iron chain on the cell and wrapped it around his fist.
"Heh heh heh, Lawrence, aren't you afraid of death?" Jacob kicked away the broken wooden stakes on the ground, straightened his clothes slightly, picked up his top hat, and hung it on the cracked wooden stake next to him.
After doing all this, Jacob turned his head slightly, glared at Lin Feng with extreme annoyance, and loosened the tie around his neck.
At that very moment, Lin Feng moved again, ignoring the three people in front of him, and walked directly towards the door.
"Um?"
Lawrence was surprised, while Jacob and Ivy secretly stared at the strange "blood food" and then looked at Lawrence, who was blocking their way.
Ten seconds seemed like an eternity. Lawrence didn't make any rash moves, slightly tucked in his belly, and let the tiny human pass.
Lin Feng walked out of the prison cell, crossed the deserted bridge, and arrived at the other side of the river that he had seen from inside the cell.
The river flowed slowly, and there was only one black carriage on the street. Occasionally, a few screams could be heard, followed by a terrifying silence.
Not far from Lin Feng, a bearded man with a single lens on his glasses peeked out from under his slightly tired eyes, his dark pupils moving as he waited for the battle inside the prison to end, while placing his hands, which had been tucked behind his back, in front of him.
"Ghoul Remus"
A prompt flashed before Lin Feng's eyes, and a spark of insight rose in his mind, transforming into an understanding of this world.
The world of Assassin's Creed Syndicate is nothing more than a world invaded by supernatural forces.
His memory was slightly illuminated, and a long and chaotic past gradually surfaced in his mind, reminding him of a crazy and tortuous scene.
For some reason, he seemed to fall into a distorted world of light and shadow. Each moment of unintentional lucidity brought about a new identity shift. He continued to move forward in this river of cognition, his past constantly being obscured by new knowledge until he completely forgot it.
However, the most terrifying thing is not forgetting, but that he simply does not want to remember, nor will he try to remember.
who I am?
He couldn't recall it, but he had a natural, rational understanding, like how seeing a horse-drawn cartwheel turn would give him a concept of "circle".
Based on the fact that he didn't know who he was, he understood that even without knowing who he was, he could still do something, because the past could not bind the future.
He should probably kill the guy in front of him who wants to eat him first.
With a thought, countless protrusions appeared on Lin Feng's left arm, which then grew into sharp horns emanating an ominous aura, enveloping his arm and turning it into a strange gauntlet, which he then punched.
Can he stop it?
Lin Feng's fist landed on the other man's face, and the ominous horn pierced into his cheek without any obstruction, smashing his skull with a single punch.
"No, Remus!!!"
A scream came from behind. Lin Feng looked at the corpse at his feet and turned to look at Ivy, who rushed out of the darkness.
Some things jumped out of his mind: concepts of death, sadness, pain, etc. appeared in his current cognition, but they seemed to have no effect. Instead, they seemed powerless and even ridiculous.
Living in selfishness, greed, and desire, what difference is there between them and death? They have never truly broken free from the shackles of self and felt their own existence.
As the twin blades came at him, Lin Feng reached out to block them, then turned and swung them at his back.
Bang!
Suddenly appearing behind her, Ivy was punched and sent flying. An incredulous expression appeared on her bloodied face. She had only been there for a moment, and before she could even react, her opponent already knew where she was going to be.
The darkness trembled once more, and Ivy, defying all the rules, transformed into a black rainbow and appeared in front of Lin Feng, who had just lowered his arm, thrusting out her twin blades again.
"fear!"
After wielding the twin blades, Ivy's eyes shone with swirling darkness. A silent darkness first entered Lin Feng's eyes, transforming into a massive black phantom that enveloped his head.
"Eternal Nightmare: Demonclaw"
A wave of emotion flickered in Lin Feng's eyes, and fear, along with the twin swords in front of him and the black giant blade falling from the sky, invaded his heart.
However, his movements did not stop at all. He grabbed Ivy's twin swords in one swift motion and kicked her in the abdomen, ignoring the faint, ethereal shadow that only had a trace of divine power.
"Evie!"
"Remus?!"
At that moment, Jacob ran over from the other side of the bridge. In the blink of an eye, he saw Ivy being held by Lin Feng, and then he saw Remus lying on the ground. He rushed over in a fit of rage.
Seeing the rapidly approaching figure, Lin Feng gripped Ivy's neck tightly, seized the figure that was trying to disappear into the darkness, and kicked it away.
Jacob was kicked away as expected, and Ivy exclaimed in panic, "Who are you?!"
Amid the questioning, Lin Feng kicked Jacob aside again and asked Ivy, "Where did you get this power from?"
"I...I don't know..." Evie answered with difficulty, when suddenly Lin Feng threw her toward Jacob, who was charging at her again. Then she saw a punch fall from nowhere and heard the sound of Jacob's ribs breaking.
Where do you get this strength from?
A calm questioning voice entered Ivy's ears, and Jacob's arm was broken by Lin Feng's foot. Before Jacob could scream, Lin Feng broke his jaw, silencing him completely.
Seeing her brother's miserable state, Ivy trembled as Lin Feng lifted her up again: "I had a dream, a dream about someone, and all of this was given to me by him."
"What about them?"
Lin Feng pointed to Jacob, who was slowly recovering.
"It was Charles, Charles Darwin! He discovered the blood of God!"
Charles Darwin? That name sounds familiar...
Lin Feng, recalling something that shouldn't exist, casually asked, "Where is he?"
“Starry Pharmaceutical Factory... Go straight along this road, then turn left at the end!” Ivy had just uttered the name when she saw Lin Feng break Jacob’s arm again. She quickly explained the route as well.
Immediately afterwards, Lin Feng let go of Yi Wei, his eyes devoid of any emotion as he slowly glanced at the two of them in the moonlight, before calmly walking towards the path the other had indicated.
"Dream."
"The blood of God".
Lin Feng walked forward step by step, various thoughts constantly surfacing in his mind. He didn't know what God was, but if God could make Jacob different from others, then God must be very unique, just like the huge black shadow that Ivy had just summoned in his eyes.
He had a feeling that if he could find that dream, he would definitely discover something.
But how do you find dreams?
After walking for a long time, when he arrived at the factory, he saw his arm, and under the ominous, retracted corner was a strange string of numbers: "2981".
What does that mean?
He seemed... to understand what it meant, but he just couldn't remember.
