Chapter 305 Casual Chat

"The Ancient One arrived quite quickly."

Si Zang transformed himself and Lin Feng, changing into different clothes, and returned to the street, squeezing into the crowd.

"What's wrong?" Seeing Lin Feng's strange gaze, Si Zang looked at the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent in the distance with a puzzled expression.

“Zombie virus, dragon blood, unmelted ice…” Lin Feng said, word by word, then pointed to the spot where he had just stood: “And the demonic power remaining on the ground.”

“What’s so special about this…hiss!” Si Zang tugged at Lin Feng and pointed to a car approaching from the side: “Stark Industries, if this thing were given to Tony Stark, who knows what he might have figured out.”

Just then, an explosion suddenly came from the other side of the street corner, breaking the silence of this frozen street once again.

He is a Hydra agent.

These things wouldn't be a big problem if they were handed over to S.H.I.E.L.D., but it's a different story if they were handed over to Hydra. After thousands or tens of thousands of human experiments, who knows what kind of monsters might be mutated.

As for handing it over to Tony Stark... no one knows what will happen in the end.

"Can you figure out which universe we're in right now?" Lin Feng took out a tablet and scrolled through the information that Ironclad 99 had gathered, searching for anything useful.

Hearing Lin Feng's question, Si Zang couldn't help but wonder, "What are you planning to do?"

"Let's see if there are other participants interfering in this world." Lin Feng scrolled through a large amount of information and said, "In addition, this world has a long history of development. If we establish an artificial intelligence company at this point in time, it might be of great help when we enter this world in the future."

“That’s true. This world is indeed very suitable for leaving some backup plans.” Shizang nodded in agreement.

But if it's a numbered world with a bad ending, then forget it.

After a quick glance, Lin Feng lifted the tablet, his gaze sweeping over the groups of passersby being questioned, and handed it to Si Zang: "Let's go here."

"Hmm? An underground boxing match?" Si Zang looked over and saw several people with special abilities marked on the tablet: "Superhumans? You're planning to recruit them?"

Lin Feng pointed to the screen on the tablet as he walked out of the crowd: "Look at his hand."

"Hanging Ring!" Si Zang's eyes flickered as he followed Lin Feng's footsteps. "Suibian, isn't it a bit too early to make a move on Kamar-Taj? The Ancient One... isn't so easy to deal with."

"The sorcerers of Kamar-Taj are human too; they need money, and they use Wi-Fi..."

As they talked, Lin Feng noticed Si Zang's slight mood. After all, they came to this world to cause trouble for those two people: "Their target is Bruce Banner. The best time to make a move is when Bruce injects the suppressant. During this time, whoever makes the first move will be closely watched by Kamar-Taj."

"As a very important member of the future, Bruce Banner is not only being watched by S.H.I.E.L.D. and the military."

"Yes..." Si Zang looked around at the street, somewhat absentmindedly.

"What's wrong?" Lin Feng stopped in his tracks.

"Seven days, you really don't plan to go out and have some fun?" Si Zang looked at Lin Feng seriously for a few moments. He had no doubt about Lin Feng's judgment, but... Si Zang asked with a look of doubt, "How do you relax? Drinking, having barbecues, going clubbing? You really have no interest at all? You don't need to keep chasing after missions as soon as you come in, do you?"

"Interested." Lin Feng shrugged. "Where to go? You tell me."

"Oh?" Si Zang's eyes immediately lit up, and he grabbed Lin Feng, shouting, "Come on, come on, follow me!"

The two ran wildly through the bustling streets, silently entering a building and going straight to the top, where they opened the door to a mansion.

432 Park Avenue, the second tallest building in New York City, is part of a supertall residential project and a high-rise luxury home.

Si Zang walked in excitedly, leaned against the floor-to-ceiling window of the mansion, looked out over the entire city, and sighed softly, "Suibian, can you feel it?"

This 425-meter-tall luxury mansion features floor-to-ceiling windows that offer panoramic views of the city. With a market value of 1.2 billion, the allure of money is on full display.

"The allure of capital!" Si Zang interrupted Lin Feng's answer with a long exhale, stood up and stretched, circling the entire mansion.

Lin Feng raised an eyebrow. This kid was preparing to produce something again? He'd never seen him praise anything like this before.

"What, you don't like it here?"

Hearing the voices asking questions fading into the distance, Lin Feng stood by the window, looked down at the street, and replied, "I like it."

"Right? No matter what, no one can resist the allure of money itself. Who wouldn't want to live such a luxurious and carefree life?" Si Zang shouted, circling around before finding a corner and yelling, "Come here!"

Lin Feng turned around, and his ears suddenly twitched as he heard the sound of a pull tab being pulled open on a soda can.

"Bang!"

Immediately afterwards, Si Zang set up a barbecue grill and beer in the corner of the mansion with the widest view, and started smoking with a whooshing sound.

"Where's Ironclad 99? Call him out."

Lin Feng waved his hand with a strange expression. Just as he released Ironclad 99 from its wing space, Si Zang stuffed a large handful of kebabs into it and pressed it in front of the barbecue grill.

"Come, come, sit down and let's chat." Si Zang tossed out a futon, leaned against the windowsill, and handed Lin Feng a can of beer.

Lin Feng took the beer, took a sip, and watched Ironclad 99 skillfully shake off the seasoning, waiting for Si Zang to continue.

After a brief silence, Shizang put down his beer and let out a long sigh: "Sigh... cough cough, um?"

"It's alright, let's drink." Lin Feng downed most of the can in one gulp, feeling the alcohol slowly spread to every part of his body, and then took the roasted meat that Ironclad 99 had brought.

"Whatever. You know, this place is nice, but it's a shame it can't keep up with development. If the elevators were replaced with private flying cars, it would be much better." Si Zang took a big skewer of meat, swallowed most of it in one bite, and gave Ironclad 99 a thumbs up.

"Given the pace of development in the real world, things might change in a few years," Lin Feng chimed in. "Who knows if the real future world will actually be the same as what we imagine?"

Si Zang immediately sat up straight: "Oh! I must say a few words. Humans can never truly escape nature. Unless we completely suppress our natural attributes, these skyscrapers will only be a temporary fad."

"Hmm... Harmony between humanity and nature is important. Technological advancement is just one aspect of human progress. Blindly pursuing skyscrapers isn't necessarily a good thing. In fact..."

I knew what you wanted to say... Lin Feng simply put aside all his thoughts and recalled his parents: "After moving into a high-rise building, the happiest thing is still growing a few flowers and plants."

What people want is simply the basic fabric of life, not high walls and concrete...

No matter how tall the building you live in or how nice the car you drive, there is no real difference. People who don't need cars won't even think about them. But at some point, people started to associate all sorts of things with money, and cars with life. Vanity has built up an even taller skyscraper behind everything.

We should live in harmony with nature, and also with ourselves.

But the person people are least likely to forgive is themselves.

"Of course! My master once said that the development of the world is essentially for the purpose of making life simpler and more convenient for people. But in the end, all those people are surrounded by layers upon layers of buildings. What they love is not the skyscrapers themselves, but the vanity that skyscrapers bring, and... the words 'Luxury Court' at the entrance of the residential complex!"

As Sizang spoke, he couldn't help but laugh out loud.

Lin Feng's lips curled into a smile, and he burst into laughter as well: "Grand Courtyard, Jiangnan, Villa, what else? Scenery, Academy."
