Chapter 18 Recruiting housekeepers and servants

In the hotel box, the three of them sat down, and Qin Zhiyan and An Ruo raised their glasses together to celebrate Zhang Wenyu's purchase of a new house.

"Wenwen, congratulations. I was planning to accompany you this morning, but I received a sudden call this morning saying there was a problem with a batch of clothing in the store, so I had to go to the factory to check first. When will the house be warmed up? I don't even know what your house looks like yet."

An Ruo has loved beautiful clothes since childhood. As a teenager, she often designed her own clothes on the computer with her friends. In high school, she encountered Hanfu (Chinese traditional clothing) and was hooked. She enrolled in a related major in college, defying her parents' wishes to study abroad. In her sophomore year, she and a classmate founded a studio. Now, she owns her own factory and brand, and her career is flourishing.

Zhang Wenyu replied with a smile. "I haven't decided yet. The house is quite large, so I'd like to hire a housekeeper and a nanny to clean it up. Do you have a company you can work with?"

Qin Zhiyan interjected.

"That's easy. My family has a long-term housekeeping company. The current person in charge is a classmate of my cousin. I'll give you her contact information and you can chat later."

Since the Qin family has a residential project, they naturally have needs for cleaning, babysitting, etc., so it is not surprising that they know of cooperative companies that provide these services.

Zhang Wenyu also breathed a sigh of relief. She couldn't possibly clean such a large house by herself; she would definitely need a nanny and cleaner. She wasn't a great cook, and having recently become a picky eater after being fed by the chefs at various high-end restaurants, she needed to hire a few chefs.

And the yard full of design also needs to be taken care of by professionals.

With so many staff members coming to the house, a housekeeper who can take charge of the overall situation is indispensable.

But just two weeks ago, Zhang Wenyu was still a miserable worker, struggling to make ends meet. She had never encountered the wealthy. While a nanny was easy to find, she had no idea where to find the kind of housekeepers and professional gardeners that only appeared in novels and TV dramas.

She had originally planned to quit the hotel and hire the hotel butler who was currently in charge of the presidential suite's guest services to continue working as her new home's butler. As for the other needed personnel, she would have to find them piecemeal. But now that she had the contact information for a professional company, she could do it all in one go.

After breakfast the next morning, Zhang Wenyu drove to the company address Qin Zhiyan gave her, preparing to recruit staff as soon as possible so that she could move into her new house earlier.

The high-end housekeeping company introduced by Qin Zhiyan was not far from the city center, and Zhang Wenyu arrived downstairs of the company in a short while.

This is a building with seventy or eighty floors, and the company Zhang Wenyu is going to is on the twenty-eighth to thirty-third floors.

I took the bus up to the 28th floor and explained my purpose to the front desk. After a while, a beautiful woman in a suit and skirt came from behind.

Her thick black hair was curled and draped behind her. Her peach-shaped eyes were charming, and her small round lips were painted with bright red lipstick, making her look like a proud fox.

The beautiful woman looked around, then locked her eyes on Zhang Wenyu. She rushed forward quickly and grabbed Zhang Wenyu's hand.

"You must be Miss Zhang Wenyu, right? I'm Chen Shaojia, the person in charge of this company. You can just call me Sister Jiajia. Zhiyan told me everything. The information has been prepared and is in my office. Let's go and take a look." As he spoke, he took Zhang Wenyu's arm and walked upstairs.

Chen Shaojia has always been carefree since she was a child. She always hoped to have a sweet and soft sister, but her parents only gave her a pair of twin brothers. From then on, when she saw a gentle little girl, she couldn't help but approach her and get close to her.

Zhang Wenyu hadn't met such a warm and friendly person in a long time, and she was really a little overwhelmed. She immediately regretted rejecting Qin Zhiyan and An Ru's proposal to accompany her. Now she could only smile and obey their proposal.

"Okay, thank you, Sister Jiajia. And don't call me Miss Zhang anymore. Just call me Wenwen. That's what all my friends call me."

Chen Shaojia took Zhang Wenyu back to his office.

This office was well-lit. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows, one could clearly see the buildings in the distance and the traffic below. The room was filled with the pleasant aroma of coffee. In front of the black leather executive chair sat a large solid wood desk, and behind it were cabinets filled with various documents.

There are two sets of comfortable sofas in the corner of the room, and exquisite tea sets are placed on the marble coffee table.

Chen Shaojia arranged Zhang Wenyu to sit on the sofa, then walked to the side and took out a few jars from the cabinet.

"I don't have anything else here, but I have a lot of coffee. This is what my friend just brought back from abroad. I'm giving you some to try. I think it tastes pretty good."

Then he sat down opposite Zhang Wenyu, took out a coffee machine from under the coffee table, and started making coffee.

Zhang Wenyu was stunned by the smooth movements.

"Sister Jiajia, don't bother me. I'll just have something to drink." After saying that, she planned to take a cup and fill it with some boiled water to drink.

However, Chen Shaojia misunderstood that Zhang Wenyu wanted to drink tea, and spoke awkwardly.

"Oh! You want tea, right? I don't really have any good tea here. Don't be fooled by the professional-looking things on my table. They were actually put there when we opened the business. He loves it, but I didn't inherit it. I really don't understand tea."

Seeing that she misunderstood, Zhang Wenyu quickly explained.

"I'm fine with anything. I'm not picky. Don't bother. I'll just drink whatever I want."

Chen Shaojia breathed a sigh of relief when he heard this.

"It's okay, it'll be fine soon. I'm used to drinking coffee and usually make some for myself. It's just right, I'll bring the information over and we'll look at it first."

He stood up again, walked to the desk and brought back a thick stack of documents.

"These are the best people in our company in various fields, selected by me according to your requirements. Last year, we signed agreements with several universities both domestically and internationally, and they are providing a large number of professionals for our company."

Chen Shaojia said as he picked out three documents.

"These three are the highest-rated butlers in our company. They all graduated from prestigious universities and speak multiple languages. They have at least seven years of work experience and can manage everything from business entertaining to arranging travel. They also hold multiple certifications and are familiar with various etiquette and the care of valuables."

Pointing to the thickest file, he continued, "Among these people, some have over a decade of experience as housekeepers, some graduated from Norland College in the UK, and some have won numerous provincial and municipal housekeeping awards. They've all qualified as domestic workers at the highest level."

Finally, he presented Zhang Wenyu with the remaining information. "These are the chefs. Some have worked in star-rated hotels both domestically and internationally, while others have been private chefs. Their specialties vary: French, Italian, Sichuan, Huaiyang, Shandong, Zhejiang, and some specialize in Chinese dim sum or Western desserts."

"The ones at the bottom are for horticulturists and gardeners, all of whom are veterans with many years of experience."
