Chapter 58 Family Meeting

What's going on?

Zhang Wenyu looked up at the red light timer and saw that it would take a while for the light to turn green. He quickly slid his finger across the phone screen to look at the chat history.

Finally found the photo of the airport parking lot her father sent an hour ago.

The post reads, "I have arrived at the airport safely and am waiting for my baby daughter to come out." and tags everyone.

Unfortunately, she was resting on the plane at that time and did not see the message.

After the plane landed, she was busy buying a car and arranging bodyguards at her residence in City R, so as not to go home directly and scare her parents. She didn't even have time to check her phone. When she came out of the airport, she took the VIP channel. Who knew that she would miss her father who came to pick her up.

The finger continued to slide and it was still news from her father.

"I'm at the airport pick-up area, and the airport staff asked me for my flight information. Wenwen, please send me your flight information." [The text then abruptly shifts topics.] ...

Then came his brother's reply.

"Dad, my sister is still on the plane. Didn't you just say you can't give advice on a plane?"

Her mother replied immediately.

"Ask the staff. Our small place doesn't have many flights from City S every day."

Ten minutes later, her father tagged everyone in the group again.

I've asked the airport staff, and they replied that there's only one flight from City S today, which arrived at the airport an hour ago. Wenwen isn't listed in the passenger information.

Next came the news of her parents anxiously asking about her location.

Zhang Wenyu quickly sent a message in the group to report that he was safe and had arrived safely in City R.

I called my father again to tell him that I was on my way home and asked him to come home from the airport as well.

Just after she hung up the phone, her mother called again.

"Wenwen, where are you now? Have you contacted your father? Why couldn't I get through to him on the phone before?"

Zhang's mother asked a series of questions worriedly, and Zhang Wenyu quickly comforted her.

"I just left the airport a while ago and have already contacted my dad. He's also on his way home from the airport. He slept on the plane, so his phone was on silent and he didn't hear anything. He also didn't check the messages after getting off the plane. Don't worry, I'll be home in half an hour. The light is green, I'll drive first, and we'll talk when we get home. Bye."

After hanging up the phone, Zhang Wenyu drove towards home.

She hadn't been home for a year and was quite unfamiliar with the road conditions. She was caught up by her father just as she reached the gate of the community.

Two cars stopped one after the other downstairs of her house. Zhang's father got out of the car, walked cautiously to the strange luxury car parked in his parking space, and gently knocked on the window.

Seeing the car window lowered, he looked towards the driver's seat cautiously.

"Hello, you're parking in my parking space."

When Zhang Wenyu saw her father knocking on her car window, she thought her father recognized her. Unexpectedly, she heard these words as soon as she lowered the window.

Zhang Wenyu took off her sunglasses and looked at her father accusingly.

"Dad, it's me! I haven't been home for only half a year and you don't recognize me?!"

Father Zhang widened his eyes and reached out to touch the top of his head, where his hair was still quite thick.

"Wenwen? Did you have plastic surgery? How come you look so different? People get uglier as they get older, but how come you've become so much prettier and whiter in just six months since you left?"

Zhang Wenyu was amused by her father.

"Dad, if office workers heard what you said, they would probably scold you."

Zhang's father was quite dissatisfied.

"Isn't everything I said true?"

Someone urged Zhang Wenyu.

"Come on, come on, get out of the car quickly, your mother is waiting anxiously at home."

Zhang Wenyu got out of the car, opened the door and motioned Zhang's father to check what was in the car.

"Call my brother down, I have a lot of gifts for you in the car, we have to take them home!"

Speak of the devil, and he will appear. Zhang Jingzhi heard the sound of his father's second-hand car and hurried downstairs.

"Dad, you're back! I got a call... Oh my god! Big G!"

As soon as Zhang Jingzhi ran out of the corridor, he saw the white G-Class parked in his parking space and saw his father standing at the front of the car. He couldn't help but lean over to look at his father, his voice revealing a hint of excitement amidst his confusion.

"Dad, why is this car parked in our parking space? We have such wealthy relatives?!"

"What relative? I'm your sister!"

Zhang Wenyu walked up to Zhang Jingzhi and couldn't help but hit him hard on the head with his hand.

Zhang Jingzhi took a deep breath and his mouth opened into an O shape.

"Sister! Is this car yours?! Are you robbing a bank?!"

Zhang Wenyu hit him on the head again in annoyance.

"I hope your sister is okay! You came down just in time, go move the things in the car home!"

Under his sister's violent command, Zhang Jingzhi covered her head and looked into the car, then stood there in a daze with a confused expression, then turned her head to look at her sister and her father and made sounds of disbelief.

"There are so many! I'm supposed to move them all by myself?!"

Zhang Wenyu admired his brother's devastated expression and patted his shoulder.

"Sister believes in you, you can do it!"

In the end, Zhang Wenyu felt guilty and moved the things upstairs with his father and brother.

"Hey! Wenwen, didn't I tell you not to buy anything? Your dad and I don't need anything, just save your money. Why did you buy so many things? There's no room in the house!"

Zhang's mother stood in the corner of the sofa, looking worriedly at the various supplements that occupied most of the living room.

Zhang Wenyu stepped forward and put her arm around Zhang's mother's shoulders.

"I told you not to pick me up, but you still sent my dad to the airport? This is obviously a family tradition. You can't blame me!"
