Chapter 90 Xi Mo's Psychology

Zhang Wenyu feels the same way.

"I was really looking forward to seeing my old classmates, but now it doesn't feel like a reunion at all. I might as well just call up a few good friends and go out on my own! Oh, by the way! When are you going back to S City? My company is also in Kangdi Building, but I'm going to B City soon. When I get back from B City, if your project is finished, let's have dinner together in S City!"

Zhang Wenyu was still sighing at what a coincidence when he heard this old classmate speak.

"Ah? Really? You're also in Kangdi Building? We're not colleagues!? I work at Yicheng Group on the top floor. They were just established a while ago and were hiring on a large scale, so I applied. Our boss is the current boss of Kangdi Building. I heard that the first batch of applicants was interviewed by the boss himself. Are you also in this company? But I haven't heard of you since I joined the company. I only heard that several seniors were sent out as soon as they joined. Ah! You weren't one of the first applicants and were sent out after joining the company!?"

Zhang Wenyu quickly waved his hands.

"No, no, no! I'm not!"

Zhang Wenyu looked at her old classmate, wondering how she should introduce herself. She couldn't just tell her old classmate, "I'm your boss," right? Although that was the truth, it seemed a bit strange to say it in this situation.

Then I thought about the fact that my classmates didn’t know anything about the owner of Wanghailou.

Zhang Wenyu couldn't help but start reflecting on herself.

Oh! How come she's made being a boss seem so shameful?

Seeing that his classmates were still looking at him, Zhang Wenyu could only speak vaguely.

"I'm not your colleague."

Afraid that his classmates would continue to ask questions, Zhang Wenyu quickly changed the subject and talked about the changes in his hometown that he discovered during this trip home.

The classmate had not returned home since graduation, so the topic was instantly changed.

Zhang Wenyu and the other three had a happy chat, and the party was slowly coming to an end.

When it was almost over, Xi Mo suddenly came over.

Although there were some minor frictions at this party, it was still very successful overall. As the organizer of this event, and having a close relationship with the teacher and classmates Li Yilin and Teng Jie, Xi Mo became the object of compliments from many classmates at the party. She was in high spirits and had basically no free time throughout the entire party.

Seeing Xi Mo walking towards them, they were all a little surprised.

Although they hadn't been together for a long time, Xi Mo didn't act strange. She pulled a chair and sat down next to the four of them.

"I didn't get to see you all afternoon. Too many people were looking for me. I'm old, and everyone has changed a lot. Some of you don't even remember me, so they kept pulling me back and wouldn't let me leave. Yilin and Tengjie were also startled by the enthusiasm of the students, so they wouldn't let me leave and kept me company. Don't blame me for not coming to chat with you!"

Zhang Wenyu and the other three shook their heads to show their understanding; they didn't mean to blame her.

Xi Mo was obviously in a good mood, with a smile between her eyebrows, and spoke to Zhang Wenyu as if jokingly.

"Just now, classmate Hong Minjun came to me and said that you two had a little conflict. You two haven't seen each other for so many years, why do you still quarrel as soon as you meet? But you have a very sharp tongue. You even made Hong Minjun cry. It's not easy for old classmates to meet each other. For my sake, can you two shake hands and make peace?"

Zhang Wenyu chuckled and said with a smile.

"I was just joking with Hong Minjun, why did she take it so seriously? Go and try to comfort her, just tell her that I didn't bother with her and tell her to stop crying."

When Xi Mo heard Zhang Wenyu's reaction, the smile on her face almost disappeared. She came here to ask Zhang Wenyu to apologize to Hong Minjun, but now it was Hong Minjun who was narrow-minded.

Xi Mo didn't want to bother with the mess between Hong Minjun and Zhang Wenyu anymore, but when she glanced at her own table, she saw Hong Minjun sitting next to Li Yilin and talking about something. Li Yilin would occasionally turn her head and respond to her with a word or two.

Although Hong Minjun is stupid, she has been following Li Yilin wholeheartedly as her lackey since school. Although Li Yilin looks gentle on the surface, she actually looks down on her classmates. Hong Minjun, who has always followed her, can barely be called her own person.

Hong Minjun was scolded and cried by Zhang Wenyu. Li Yilin was probably unhappy too. This party was organized by her and Zhang Wenyu was invited by her. Now that Zhang Wenyu was so disrespectful to her, Li Yilin was afraid that she would hold her responsible.

Xi Mo secretly felt unlucky. She had only wanted to show off in front of Zhang Wenyu, to let her know that her life was much better than hers, so that Zhang Wenyu wouldn't always think that she was still the same pathetic wretch who could only get by with her help. Unexpectedly, Zhang Wenyu seemed like a fool, not envious of her life at all. Instead, she looked happy for her changes.

After all these years, her condescending and disgusting demeanor remains unchanged. Now I've caused her such trouble. She's just as annoying as ever!

Xi Mo secretly regretted that she had insisted on inviting Zhang Wenyu over.

But the problem had to be solved. Xi Mo frowned and planned to use Li Yilin to persuade Zhang Wenyu.

"Hong Minjun and Li Yilin have had a good relationship since high school. I just saw Hong Minjun crying because of you, and now you are still comforting her. Even if you don't give face to me, don't you give face to the Li family?"

Xi Mo thought to herself.

Zhang Wenyu was just a wage earner from an ordinary family. He couldn't possibly not even give the Li family face, could he? If he was truly foolish enough to not give the Li family face, it would be easier for him to respond to Li Yilin and accuse Zhang Wenyu of not giving the Li family face. Then, they could let the Li family teach Zhang Wenyu a lesson and make her realize the magnitude of the social disparity between them. Now, she was the poor creature who needed to beg for mercy.

Thinking of this, Xi Mo actually hoped that Zhang Wenyu would refuse to apologize.

Zhang Wenyu naturally had no idea what Xi Mo was thinking; she simply found her words amusing. They were enjoying their meal, and Hong Minjun suddenly came over and mocked them. "How dare they cry when they hadn't said anything?" They were already in their twenties, and yet they were still resorting to such tattling. It was truly eye-opening for her.

Zhang Wenyu regretted attending this party more and more. Not only did he not renew his friendship with his classmates, but he also met a lot of strange people and messy things!

Zhang Wenyu looked at Xi Mo who wanted to say something, frowned, and his eyes revealed fatigue and impatience.

"You don't have to tell me all this. We both know who's right and who's wrong in this matter. You don't have to use Li Yilin to pressure me. I won't fall for it. If Hong Minjun wants to cry, let her cry. I'm not her mother, so I have no obligation to spoil her!"

After saying that, he ignored Xi Mo and prepared to tell Xue Jing and others that he was leaving first and did not plan to participate in the subsequent activities.

Xi Mo was still waiting to see Zhang Wenyu being taught a lesson by Li Yilin. How could she let Zhang Wenyu leave now? She quickly tried to comfort him with a few words. Seeing that Zhang Wenyu was determined to leave, she quickly ran to pass on the message to Li Yilin.
