Chapter 31 Recruiting Assistants

When An Ruo heard that Zhang Wenyu had returned, she immediately asked her to meet her.

Zhang Wenyu had just woken up from a nap when she heard the housekeeper say that An Ru was coming to visit and had been arranged to have tea in the living room.

Zhang Wenyu changed her clothes and went downstairs to meet her.

"Didn't I tell you it was okay? Why did you come so quickly?"

When An Ruo heard Zhang Wenyu coming, she quickly grabbed him.

"What are you talking about? Aunt Ding and I are so worried. How could a fight break out out of the blue? No one's hurt, are you? You're the same way. You're out without anyone. What if you get hurt? I see you still don't have an assistant bodyguard. That's not good. Safety should be taken seriously."

An Ruo gave Zhang Wenyu a series of instructions. Zhang Wenyu was so overwhelmed by the instructions that he quickly surrendered.

"Good sister, I know I was wrong. It's too late. I was planning to do it when I came back this time. I would also like to trouble you to introduce me to a reliable security company."

An Ruo was amused by Zhang Wenyu's begging expression.

"You're always being weird. But I do have a candidate for an assistant position. She's a top student with work experience. She worked for my aunt for a while, but then she immigrated to Australia. She was worried about her family, so she didn't go with her. My aunt was so reluctant to let her go that she even arranged for her to work at her friend's company before she left. I heard she just resigned a while ago. I'm thinking if you think she's okay, I'll have her come in for an interview."

An Ruo's aunt was also a strong woman, so an assistant that was valued by her aunt must be quite capable. Zhang Wenyu was in urgent need of talent and couldn't wait to meet this assistant that An Ruo had mentioned as excellent.

Seeing that Zhang Wenyu was extremely anxious, An Ruo simply called him on the spot.

Yang Jiangyue was carrying a large bag of food she had just bought from the supermarket and struggled to open the door.

"Mom, I'm back."

Hearing the noise, a slightly thin woman who looked to be in her fifties or sixties walked out of the house.

"Yueyue is back? Oh, you're carrying so many things in your hands, why didn't you ask me to open the door? Hurry, put them on the table. You must be exhausted. Take a rest. I'll go get you a glass of water."

Yang Jiangyue quickly stepped forward to support her mother.

"Mom, I'm not tired. How are you feeling today?"

"Mom is fine. She's in good health. She even went downstairs for a walk with your Aunt Wang today."

Mother Yang looked at her daughter in front of her and felt a surge of remorse. If it weren't for her poor health that had hindered her daughter, she would still be able to follow her boss and develop her own career. She wouldn't be out of work like she is now.

Yang Jiangyue leaned on her mother's arm. Although her job was still not going well, her mother's health was getting better day by day. She didn't regret her original choice at all.

Her family was well-off as a child, and she went abroad to study in high school, later getting accepted into a prestigious university. But when she was a junior in college, her family went bankrupt. Her father, determined to rebuild the family, repeatedly failed, and finally, unable to accept the consequences, left them forever.

It was her mother who worked hard to support the family and insisted that she finish college. After graduation, it was also thanks to her degree from a prestigious university that she was able to have the opportunity to work as an assistant to Tang Ninglan.

She was grateful for Mr. Tang's support over the past five or six years, but when he immigrated to Australia and her mother became ill and needed surgery, she couldn't leave her behind. Fortunately, Mr. Tang didn't blame her; instead, he was concerned about her financial situation and arranged for her to work at a company before she left.

But two years later, the company was acquired by another company. The new boss kept touching her and even tried to lock her in the office last week. She couldn't stand it anymore and fired him on the spot.

Yang Jiangyue has been looking for a job lately. She wants to continue working as an assistant, but she's afraid of running into someone like her former boss, so she's looking for a female boss. However, finding a job isn't easy, and she hasn't found one yet.

Just as Yang Jiangyue was about to check if there were any job postings, the phone on the table suddenly rang.

"Hello, hello, I'm Yang Jiangyue."

When Mother Yang saw her daughter answering the phone, she was worried about disturbing her and went to the kitchen to pick vegetables.

Mother Yang, who came out to get something after washing the vegetables, was shocked to see that her daughter in the living room had hung up the phone and was standing blankly by the window.

"What's wrong? Who's calling?"

Yang Jiangyue was awakened by her mother's voice. She turned around and hugged her mother, saying happily.

"Mom, Mr. Tang's niece, Miss An, recommended me to another boss. I'm going for an interview!"

Hearing such good news, Mother Yang was also happy for her daughter.

"That's great. My daughter is so talented, she's sure to pass the interview. Did the boss say when she'll be there?"

"Tomorrow, Miss An said the boss is short on time, so the interview will be tomorrow morning."

Yang Jiangyue couldn't suppress her joy, and the corners of her mouth curled up. She answered while thinking about tomorrow's interview.

When Mother Yang heard that time was so urgent, she quickly pushed her daughter into the room.

"Then hurry up and get ready. I'll make dinner."

The next morning, Yang Jiangyue got up early. After making breakfast, she began to pack her interview clothes and makeup, hoping to appear in the interview with a good image. She had been with Mr. Tang for many years and knew that wealthy people also had high requirements for the external image of the staff around them.

At this time, Zhang Wenyu had just gotten up.

The first night's stay in the new house was very good. Compared with the bustling large flat in the city center, there are fewer people here, the environment is quieter and the space is more spacious.

Knowing that Zhang Wenyu had gotten up, the nanny came in and opened the curtains, placed the slippers neatly in front of the bed, then went to the bathroom, squeezed the toothpaste, and prepared the necessary toiletries. Then she returned to the bedroom and began to clean the room and make the bed.

After washing up, Zhang Wenyu changed into home clothes and prepared to go downstairs for breakfast.

The dining table was filled with a dazzling array of breakfast items. The butler pulled out a chair and invited Zhang Wenyu to sit down, while the chef introduced the ingredients for today's breakfast to Zhang Wenyu.

"Good morning, Miss. Today's breakfast is an avocado and tuna sandwich, spinach, cheese, and shrimp cakes, millet, pumpkin, and yam soup, silver thread rolls, and a soft-boiled egg..."

"The vegetables and fruits were delivered by the farm this morning, and the fresh meat was just flown in from all over the world. They are all the freshest."

Zhang Wenyu is actually not very picky about food, and she never thought that breakfast would be so troublesome, but fresh ingredients do taste better.

After breakfast, Zhang Wenyu changed into the meeting clothes prepared by the stylist and prepared to meet today's interviewer.

Before deciding whether to choose the interviewee as her assistant, Zhang Wenyu did not plan to bring the interviewee to her home, so she simply bought a teahouse and set the interview location there.
