Chapter 190 New Life

In an instant, a cry rang out, and a torrential downpour began to fall on the farm, which had always been bathed in sunshine.

A gaunt hen, with a look of utter despair, shuffled out of the coop. On its back was a small, white, tender ball of flesh, about the size of a palm.

Xia Chuhe took the hen out, but before he could even see what the meatball was, he was drenched by the little dark cloud that appeared above his head.

The faint "waa waa" crying coming from the phone was the little fleshy ball making that sound.

Afraid it would wake the others, Xia Chuhe quickly pinched the little ball of flesh to block the source of the noise. The little ball of flesh looked like a whole human, with two hard lumps on its head.

The ball of meat was separated from the hen, and the dark clouds overhead seemed to grow larger, the rain heavier.

Xia Chuhe hurriedly threw the meatball and the hen back to the farm. After carefully searching the henhouse, he found only broken eggshells. This human-like creature had actually hatched from a dragon egg.

The little creature was probably hungry, so Xia Chuhe had no choice but to take some of the milk he had saved up and put it in the chicken coop.

The little dragon "rid" the hen, moved to the milk, buried its head in it, drank the milk, stopped crying, and the rain stopped.

After drinking its fill, with its big belly, it climbed back onto the hen and went to sleep.

Xiaolong has a big appetite; the milk he drank was almost bigger than himself.

In any case, the birth of new life on a new journey is at least a good omen.

As for the trouble of raising the child, it seems that Xia Chuhe has no place to worry about it... Xiaolong seems to regard the hen as his mother, so Xia Chuhe gave the hen an extra handful of feed, hoping to fatten it up a bit.

The next morning, Xiaolong looked much bigger and was crying for milk again.

Xia Chuhe took it out and showed it to everyone.

The fact that Xia Chuhe's space could be used to raising animals was already commonplace for everyone else. The little dragon that resembled a human was even less surprising; the wasteland was full of strange and unusual creatures, so one more wouldn't make a difference.

Xia Chuhe felt quite regretful that he did not receive the amazement of others.

Li Qiusheng, on the other hand, surprised everyone. Her supernatural abilities had improved considerably, likely due to training at the nursing home.

Originally, a lot of soil was needed for Li Qiusheng to perfectly transform into soil, but now only a handful is needed for her to transform into soil as well. Because of this, Li Qiusheng proudly demonstrated it to everyone several times, and even specially stuffed a handful of wrapped soil into her combat pack.

...

After feeding the little dragon and the other animals on the farm, the group continued their journey to the Cape Trading Market.

The trading floor, now managed by a new manager, is much busier than before; you can hear the shouts from afar. The long queues outside are gone, replaced by a security gate. Mechanical checks have replaced manual checks, making the process much faster. More importantly, no one is charging unreasonable kickbacks, and no one is stealing.

From this perspective, the Xintian Gang is much better than the previous organizations.

Xia Chuhe and his group approached the Cape Trading Market.

Outside the security gate, several people were loitering. One of them spotted Xia Chuhe and his group and immediately approached, whispering, "Good stuff, want some?"

"Let's take a look." With ample supplies as a foundation, Xia Chuhe remained calm and composed.

The man rolled up his long sleeves, revealing a small bag inside and a splash of blue within.

"Brew, one piece can make you ascend to heaven."

Isn't this an addictive drug?!

Xia Chuhe's face darkened, and he tossed out a "No need" before quickly passing through the security gate.

Compared to the chaos of my first visit, the trading floor was completely transformed.

The trading area was divided into living quarters, weapons, medicine, treasures, and other sections by low sand walls, with a glowing sign floating above each section as a marker.

Xia Chuhe didn't contact the Xintian Gang immediately, but instead took a stroll around the trading area. The first three zones were the most crowded, while the Treasure Zone and the other zones were almost deserted.

The Treasures section mainly sells unusual items, nothing of great value.

There was a little girl standing in another section, who looked to be about ten years old. She didn't have any goods in front of her, so it was unclear what she was selling.

Xia Chuhe was curious and went up to ask.

The young girl said, "What I'm selling is my skill."

"What skills do you have?" Xia Chuhe asked.

The little girl answered, "Attack me."

What a strange request! Is this little girl some kind of indestructible being like Wang Gang?

Xia Chuhe couldn't bring herself to hurt the unfamiliar young girl, so she only flicked a small spark at her. Unfortunately, the snake on her wrist wasn't one to show mercy and darted out as well.

The spark stopped about half a meter away from the girl, but the snake lunged at her to bite.

Xia Chuhe hurriedly grabbed the snake's tail, but the girl was quick as well, striking almost simultaneously and pinching the snake's vital spot.

The young girl smiled and said, "Boss, don't look down on me, be serious."

Xia Chuhe, whose little scheme had been exposed, said with a hint of helplessness, "I'm sorry."

The little girl boasted arrogantly, "You can all come at me together!"

Xia Chuhe and the others no longer held back, unleashing their true abilities as several scorching flames attacked simultaneously. Li Qiusheng quietly transformed into earth, moving swiftly to prepare for a sneak attack, while Lu Dangui also launched a hidden arrow.

The flames and sparks were kept out of the little girl's sight.

Li Qiusheng crashed hard into something invisible, making him dizzy and revealing his true form.

Only Lu Danggui's hidden arrow went unhindered, shaving off a lock of the girl's beautiful hair.

Lu Dangui deliberately shot off course, fearing he might hurt someone.

The little girl froze, blinking as she looked at Lu Dangui, and blurted out, "You're so beautiful! Do you have a lover?"

A blush crept onto Lu Dangui's usually aloof face, and she stammered, "No."

Xia Chuhe's question caught in her throat. She had originally intended to hire this person to walk a short distance, but she hadn't expected that this young girl would actually be planning to abduct Dangui!
