Chapter 266 Loveless Hell (Part 1)

Returning to the familiar wasteland, retrieving his combat pack and various accessories, Xia Chuhe couldn't help but press his face against the time watch.

Ah, her trump card! Her sense of security!

They're finally back!

Xia Chuhe never imagined that the wasteland would become a place that would make her happy.

Upon spotting the SUV parked not far away, the group quickly jogged over.

Everyone in the car was safe and sound; no one was injured.

Bu Yi was confused: "It's over? What did you do? You weren't hurt, were you?"

"No," Li Qiusheng said casually. "We beat up that Ai guy with our words, perfect."

Li Yue briefly explained the situation to Bu Yi and others.

02 After listening, she was somewhat bewildered: "That's it? Where are we now? How do we get back?"

Wang Yan raised her wristwatch: "I took a picture of the living map of Zhuguan Mountain before, I'm here to find the way back."

Wang Yan squinted at the photo on his wristwatch: "Switching from a big screen to a small screen all of a sudden is too hard on the eyes."

Wang Yan found a copy of the game with a name related to romance on the map. After roughly determining the location based on the terrain, she drew a route back and sent it to 02 and Li Yue.

"Check if 03 has come out yet. Have him come to meet you. I'll take you back to where we parted ways earlier." The attacker wasn't waiting outside the instance, which was somewhat unexpected for Xia Chuhe. She thought she would have to go through another battle after coming out.

Although the attacker was not there, Xia Chuhe dared not let his guard down, as it would be too dangerous to let Li Yue and 02 go back alone.

Moreover... 04 didn't come out with them, and 02 didn't show it on her face, but she must have been very sad inside, right?

Xia Chuhe drove the car, turned around and drove back. 02 sent a message to 03 to come and meet him.

Xia Chuhe was relieved after sending 02 and Li Yue to 03's side.

"Why do the higher-ups keep pursuing us relentlessly, and why do they always manage to take our positions?" Xia Chuhe was deeply troubled by this.

Bu Yi was worried about the leakage of forum information.

In an effort to increase users, the forum lowered its entry requirements. While the forum experienced exponential user growth, inevitably a few unscrupulous individuals infiltrated its ranks.

A few days ago, Buyi posted as an administrator to promote the food and amusement park. The other party may have been eyeing the food and amusement park because of this, which is why they came to stake out the area.

Li Qiusheng, however, felt that it was a problem left over from Zhuguanshan.

Last time we were ambushed, one group of people was heading straight for Zhuguan Mountain. Maybe someone planted some kind of tracking device on a living map.

However, Zhu Guanshan is no longer here, and Bu Yi has decided to no longer use his administrator status easily, and will post unimportant posts anonymously.

If another address leak occurs, it could be a very serious internal problem.

Xia Chuhe least wanted to see this possibility.

With mixed feelings, the group finally arrived at the Temple of the Heavenly God.

Unlike Dream City, the Temple of the Celestial God has no outer city, only an inner city. The inner city is only guarded by a few people on the surface, with most residents and industries underground, similar in overall structure to the base.

The toll for the Temple of the Gods was extremely high, and the interior environment was incredibly poor, with a pungent, sour smell permeating the air, and the road often covered in a sticky substance resembling a dog's skin plaster.

On the road, you can hardly see a single indigenous person.

Xia Chuhe wanted to test the rules of the Heavenly God Temple, but he had nowhere to start.

The group wandered aimlessly through the city for most of the day until a bell rang in the sky, at which point the locals emerged from their buildings.

The upper half of the face of the indigenous person who came out was covered in mucus, while the lower half of the face was relatively clean, probably because they had been wearing a mask or something similar.

As Xia Chuhe got closer, he could see their bloodshot eyes.

And the slime on the ground finally had an explanation.

Indigenous people walk with a wobbly gait, sometimes even their left and right feet fighting each other. When they trip, their reaction is also slow, and they often land face down.

The sticky substance on their faces was thus transferred to the ground.

Li Qiusheng shrugged in disgust: "Shall we not linger here?"

Xia Chuhe thought for a moment. Everyone was exhausted after just coming out of the dungeon, and it wasn't a good idea to cause any more trouble. It was already late, so they decided to rest in the city for the night and leave tomorrow.

Although it's a pity to give up the rules and energy of the Heavenly Temple, preserving one's life is the most important thing.

The group of six decided to find a hotel to rest for the night and set off again the next day.

Although Bao'er is young, she is very observant: "Sister, why are they all going to the middle?"

Countless indigenous people seemed to be heading toward the same building, a building located in the center of the city that occupied a huge area.

Xia Chuhe withdrew his gaze: "Since you've decided to leave, don't worry about these things."

Bu Yi counted on his fingers: "Go and see. I asked, and it turns out to be Xiao Ji."

With Bu Yi's special abilities as a backup, the six of them followed.

A simple sign hangs at the entrance of the building, bearing the words "Temple".

A long pool was built at the entrance of the temple, and the indigenous people had to wash their hands and faces before entering the temple.

Xia Chuhe and the others wanted to go in and take a look, but the clergy at the door didn't stop them. Instead, they checked their hands and faces and let them in after confirming they were clean.

Holy Communion was being distributed in the temple. It looked similar to a porridge made with nutrient solution, and each of them received a portion.

Although Li Yue was not there, Lu Dangui was still able to sense that the food was safe thanks to her weak purification ability.

The food was tasteless, barely enough to fill one up to six or seven tenths of their capacity.

Li Qiusheng started to think: "Although the toll is expensive, I can eat my fill here before I leave."
