Chapter 305 Playing Games (Part 4)

Wang Mei's eyes sparkled: "Lord, can I operate it?"

It's just tearing off a roll of toilet paper... Xia Chuhe nodded helplessly.

Wang Mei followed Xia Chuhe's example in front of the first door, tearing off the toilet paper roll until only a bare tube remained.

She held up the paper tube and showed it to everyone.

The moment to witness a miracle!

A key suddenly appeared out of thin air inside the paper tube!

The key hovered for a second before following the laws of free fall and gently landing in Wang Mei's palm.

Wang Meile excitedly ran to open the door.

It seems she quite likes the game.

Bai Jiu was somewhat worried: "There are doors after doors, how many more doors do we have to pass through? Will this dungeon keep us trapped here forever?"

After asking the question, Bai Jiu couldn't help but look at Xia Chuhe, hoping to get an answer from her.

After passing through only two doors, he had already become somewhat dependent on Xia Chuhe.

Xia Chuhe did not answer.

Unlike mobile and PC games, dungeon-based games don't display the main menu or the number of levels. She'll try to progress as far as possible before reaching the final door. Of course, Xia Chuhe is also happy to try other ways to clear the level if they exist.

Lu Xiaofeng patted Bai Jiu on the shoulder, full of confidence and pride: "Don't worry, I've already learned how to find the key."

Xia Chuhe smiled without saying a word.

The second door opened, and the scene before us changed.

The third door is different from the first two; there is nothing in front of it, but it is a bit far from the second door.

More importantly, the door was completely open, as if it were saying to Xia Chuhe and the others, "Come on over, welcome, welcome, a warm welcome."

Something unusual must be going on.

Xia Chuhe instinctively sensed that the nonsensical puzzle game was over, and the current game was probably not so friendly.

"Watch out for traps," Xia Chuhe warned everyone.

Lu Xiaofeng muttered, "What kind of trap could there be? It's just a matter of figuring out how to get the toilet paper out..."

Xia Chuhe provoked him: "Then you go first."

She hadn't forgotten that one of the purposes of running the dungeon was to eliminate people with impure intentions like Lu Xiaofeng and Wang Mei.

Lu Xiaofeng was unconvinced and tentatively took a step forward.

The first step is safe.

Lu Xiaofeng pretended not to care, but he actually took Xia Chuhe's words to heart. He cast a pleading look at the people behind him, but they remained unmoved.

Only 03 said, "Keep going."

Lu Xiaofeng took two more steps, and still found no danger. The others followed silently behind him.

The moment Lu Xiaofeng took his fourth step, a trap three meters deep and filled with sharp spikes suddenly appeared beneath his feet, swallowing him whole.

Even with precautions, Lu Xiaofeng did not expect that the trap was not dug out on the road, but suddenly appeared, and even the solid ground he had been standing on was part of the trap!

Lu Xiaofeng was terrified. He had already foreseen his fate—to fall into the trap, be pierced by the spikes, and die without a doubt!

In the chaos, Lu Xiaofeng used his telekinetic ability to pull out several spikes from the trap. However, as soon as the spikes disappeared, new spikes immediately replaced them.

Lu Xiaofeng looked up at the trap in despair, deeply regretting his decision to be the first to explore because of his pride.

The moment the sole of the foot touched the sharp spike, the downward trend abruptly stopped.

Lu Xiaofeng's arm was suddenly pulled, making him wince in pain, but he couldn't help but shed tears of gratitude.

At the critical moment, 03 actually jumped down and grabbed him!

03 He grabbed Lu Xiaofeng with one hand and held a sword in the other, with most of the sword blade embedded in the trap wall.

03 With a flick of his wrist, he threw Lu Xiaofeng out of the trap, then used the trap wall as leverage and his sword to climb out.

As soon as 03 stepped out, he received a reproachful look from Xia Chuhe. This look left 03 completely bewildered, utterly confused.

03 Secretly reflecting: Did I do something wrong? I saved people, I didn't do anything wrong. Then you've misunderstood; the city lord's gaze wasn't reproachful, it was approving!

Correct answer!

03. You unconsciously straighten your back and raise your chin higher.

Faced with Lu Xiaofeng's grateful thanks while clinging to his leg, he only gave a reserved "hmm".

...

After an unexpected incident during the scouting trip, Lu Xiaofeng was no longer willing to be the one leading the way.

The others hesitated for a moment, and just as 03 was about to step forward, Xia Chuhe spoke first: "I'll go first, and you all follow a little further away from me."

Xia Chuhe had already figured out what type of game this was.

A parkour game that can easily make you feel hot and full of traps.

The key to playing these kinds of games is "luring" – using a seemingly reckless but actually probing attitude to lure players into the game's traps.

Xia Chuhe took out a rope, tied it around his waist, and handed the other end to 03: "Listen to my command. When I tell you to pull, you pull, understand?"

03 nodded and gripped one end of the rope tightly.

Xia Chuhe tugged at the rope to make sure there were no problems, then leaped over the trap.

Just as his toes were about to touch the ground on the other side of the trap, Xia Chuhe twisted his waist in mid-air and shouted, "Pull!"

03 Although he didn't understand why, he still pulled the rope back with all his might.

The next second, the trap moved forward a step in a sneaky manner...

If Xia Chuhe hadn't been pulled back, the trap would be in the exact spot where he landed.

Xia Chuhe's prediction was simply amazing!

Liao Ning stared at Xia Chuhe with disbelief. If the wasteland instance hadn't existed for so long, she would have almost suspected that Xia Chuhe was the designer of it.

Xia Chuhe was not complacent about his accurate prediction, for the road ahead was still dangerous.

After the trap moved forward, a small patch of seemingly solid land appeared in front of them.

Xia Chuhe tentatively touched the ground with his toe, then immediately withdrew it. The land remained unchanged, and the trap did not move.

Taking tentative steps forward, Xia Chuhe once again found himself in front of the trap.

"Don't forget to pull the rope," Xia Chuhe reminded 03 before leaping over the trap again.

This time, when Xia Chuhe was pulled back, a moving wall had appeared in front of the trap. The wall pushed from the direction of the door towards Xia Chuhe and the others; if Xia Chuhe hadn't been pulled back, he probably would have been pushed directly into the trap by the wall.

Fortunately, the wall stopped moving when it reached the trap.

Xia Chuhe tested it again, but the trap and the wall remained unmoved, and nothing strange appeared in the scene.

She then jumped over the trap and climbed over the wall.

Xia Chuhe continued to probe forward, and only after confirming that there was no danger ahead did she return to the wall and, clinging to the top, say to the others, "It's safe, follow me!"
