Chapter 81 The Mouse-Catching Game

"Quick, let's go! We've been spotted!" Xia Chuhe made the first retreat.

Several people followed behind her, and even the disobedient Wuying ran away with them.

They hadn't run far when a tiger's roar came from behind them: "A mouse has sneaked into the free zone! The mouse-catching game begins now!"

The audience members who had been watching the trial in a respectable manner suddenly erupted into a roar mixed with cheers, transforming into their original forms and chasing after Xia Chuhe and the others with all their might.

Despite having the advantage of a head start, two legs can never outrun four legs, and the animals behind are getting closer and closer.

In the distance, a large black rat with a human head on its head was scrambling swiftly across the field, using all four limbs.

Wang Yan had already been exposed!

Xia Chuhe was anxious. They had agreed to meet at the road leading into the market, but now it seemed that they were in a situation from which there was no escape.

Lu Dangui glanced at Xia Chuhe, then at Wang Yan. She suddenly lunged at Wuying, her right hand gripping Wuying's neck tightly.

Lu Dangui lowered his voice and said quickly, "Take Xia Chuhe away, or I'll kill you."

The neck of Wuying, which was being choked, instantly turned bluish-purple with blood.

The two became entangled, their running speed dropped sharply, and they were almost overtaken by the animals behind them.

Wuying gave a strange smile and said in a hoarse voice, "Don't even think about it."

Lu Dangui suddenly sensed something was wrong, but a huge suction force was already coming from the arm that was gripping Wuying. In a moment of panic, Lu Dangui immediately grabbed Li Yue, who was closest to him, with his other hand, and the two of them were pulled out of the instance by Wuying.

Everything happened so fast that Wang Gang had no time to react.

Our own Third Master actually left!

I didn't bring him!

...

Xia Chuhe was too preoccupied with her own problems to notice the commotion behind her; all she could hear was the increasingly loud clatter of hooves.

Horse hoof... Boss Ma... farm machinery...

Xia Chuhe had a sudden inspiration: two legs can't outrun four legs, but four legs can't outrun four wheels either.

She even has tractors on her farm!

Xia Chuhe immediately pulled out a tractor, on which stood a large, fat, purplish-blue parrot, with a baby monkey on its head throwing eggs.

Caught off guard, the bird and the monkey were both dumbfounded. The little monkey couldn't get the egg out of its hand and it smashed onto the tractor's engine, the egg white mixed with broken shell slowly sliding down.

This tractor has a traditional hand-crank starter. Luckily, Xia Chuhe spent his childhood on the farm and often rode around on this kind of tractor.

Xia Chuhe inserted the handle, fastened the decompression, and shook it wildly. The tractor slowly emitted a clattering sound, but the engine remained completely still.

Xia Chuhe: "..."

It must be that this guy isn't doing a good job, it's definitely not because she hasn't been shaking for years and her hands are rusty!

Xia Chuhe tried to start the tractor by hand again, but the tractor wouldn't cooperate.

The animals behind them were getting closer and closer.

The first to catch up was Wang Gang, who was carrying a whole bunch of animals. He was slow, and several animals jumped on him, tearing and biting him.

However, the indestructible body is least afraid of being beaten...

Wang Gang, covered in animals, caught up with Xia Chuhe.

He had just seen Xia Chuhe's movements clearly when he caught up, snatched the handle from Xia Chuhe's hand, and shook it for a while.

Egg white and eggshell dripped onto the ground.

The tractor finally started to chug and roar.

Xia Chuhe jumped onto the seat, and Wang Gang followed suit and climbed onto the tractor.

In the short time it took, the animals caught up and almost completely surrounded the tractor!

The horse owner who was closest raised his front hooves and let out a long neigh.

The large parrot on the nose of the plane was startled by the horse's neighing, its beautiful purple-blue feathers bristling. All the animals that saw this sight suddenly seemed to be frozen in place, completely still.

Wang Gang pulled the dazed animal off his body and threw it on the ground.

Xia Chuhe tried to bring the animals into the farm, but the farm seemed to be malfunctioning and couldn't take the animals in at all. She could only take the opportunity to drive the tractor at full speed to break through the encirclement.

The little monkey nimbly leaped up, stepping on Wang Gang's head. It feinted behind Xia Chuhe, then stepped on Wang Gang again and jumped back onto the parrot's head, its hands seemingly shimmering with golden light.

Xia Chuhe drove the tractor forward, rescuing people along the way: Boss Xin, Sister Diao, Lao Qin...

The small tractor was packed with people.

As Wang Yan drew closer to the tractor in the field, he had almost completely transformed into a mouse, his height noticeably reduced.

Wang Yan leaped up, his two mouse-like paws gripping the crossbar of the tractor. With his hind legs dangling in the air, he did a pull-up before finally flipping himself, panting, onto the crossbar.

Sitting on the small seat of the tractor, Xia Chuhe held the tractor's steering wheel with both hands, his eyes searching around for Lu Danggui and Li Yue.

She looked around several times but couldn't see the two people, and even Wuying was nowhere to be seen.

A hummingbird emerged from Xia Chuhe's collar and perched on her shoulder, projecting an image. The image showed the scene of the shadowless tapes of Dangui and Li Yue.

Xia Chuhe was almost going crazy. Cooperating with Wuying was truly the worst decision she had ever made!

However, knowing that the group had escaped the dungeon instead of falling into the hands of the raging animals, Xia Chuhe felt much more at ease.

After what had just happened, Xia Chuhe vaguely guessed the parrot's abilities and finally understood why the farm had rated it as S-level.

Its crowd control ability allowed it to control those frenzied animals for nearly twenty seconds!

Xia Chuhe announced that from today onwards, the hyacinth macaw is her god!

No wonder Old Wang was stunned when she first saw the parrot; she naively thought she was captivated by its beauty...

Xia Chuhe regretted his blindness.
