Chapter 23: A Small Reminder

**

Jingcheng University, tennis court.

It was a sunny afternoon in late April, and the weather was warm and gentle.

Yan Qing bought two waffle cones and sat down next to An Nuannuan on the tennis court bench. She handed one to her and asked, "Qianwa and Qiyue haven't arrived yet?"

An Nuannuan shook her head, distracted. "Qianwa's husband picked her up for lunch at noon, and Qiyue was probably stuck in traffic."

Yan Qing took a bite of her ice cream. "Because it pays thirty yuan an hour more, Qiyue would rather take the subway for an extra hour to get a part-time job in the east city. Did she have three part-time jobs this semester?"

An Nuannuan didn't answer her.

Yan Qing thought for a moment and continued, "It seems to be four parts. She doesn't like me helping her. She's busy with school and work, and she can't handle it..."

As Yan Qing spoke, she turned around and saw An Nuannuan's dazed look.

She frowned, "What's wrong with you? You've looked lifeless since this morning. Qianwa gave you an autographed photo of a celebrity this morning, but you didn't seem happy at all."

An Nuannuan bit her lip, holding the waffle ice cream in her hand. After a long moment of hesitation, she turned her head away.

He looked at Yan Qing with a bit of pity, and glanced around before speaking. Then he said, "Qing'er, the people who support my husband called me last night and asked me to behave myself in the future."

Yan Qing: “…………”

After a few seconds of silence, Yan Qing suddenly came to her senses and said in surprise, "What did you do? Ji Liangnian warned you after just one meeting?"

An Nuannuan pursed her lips and said, "I'm not afraid. After all, Ji Liangnian is not from a wealthy family and can't threaten me..."

Yan Qing looked at her as if she were mentally retarded. "..." "Careful, Ji Liangnian might be worth more than the entire Yan family. She had no idea he'd entered the Beijing social scene, which showed he had a powerful background."

"...But, that afternoon, when we were having dinner, Qian Chong went out to order food, and he looked at us a little coldly...I felt a little guilty about it."

"What did you do?" Yan Qing asked again.

"I didn't do anything," An Nuannuan said. After a pause, she muttered, "As for the autographed photo, Qian Chong will get it for me when he gets the chance. Mr. Xia told me last night not to order Qian Chong around."

"I said I have a gold card from an entertainment media company. If you want to attend any celebrity's event, go by yourself."

Yan Qing breathed a sigh of relief.

She patted An Nuannuan's shoulder and said, "Qianwa is married, it's normal for her husband to love her."

An Nuannuan held her chin in her hand and said, "I know." She squinted her eyes. "Qianwa is going to participate in an international piano competition in August. Carpet star Su Ziling is the spokesperson. This gold card I have is only valid for artists under listed entertainment media companies in China. I can't get close to international superstars like Su Ziling."

Yan Qing twitched her lips. "So, even after Ji Liangnian had deliberately reminded you, you still wanted Qianwa to ask for an autographed photo for you?"

"Yeah...that's why I'm a little nervous..."

Ji Qianchong changed into sportswear in the locker room and arrived at the tennis court when it was already time for class.

On the tennis court, students were practicing. July was a three-good student, and one of them was her.

Ji Qianchong walked towards her.

The girl wore a high ponytail, a sun hat, and a tracksuit. Her hair swayed gently as she walked, and her eyebrows and eyes were slightly curved.

"July."

July, who was playing tennis, heard the sound, stopped and turned around.
