Why is it gone?
When all the dishes were served, Ji Liangnian rolled up his sleeves and scooped soup for her with a spoon. He raised his eyes and asked slowly, "What fell?"
"ointment."
The man nodded, placed the porcelain bowl filled with soup in front of her, and looked up at Xia Song: "You carried Pet's schoolbag all the way. Did you see her things?"
Xia Song twitched his lips: "..."
"Master Jiu, I think I saw Madam's ointment..." Being stared at by Ji Liangnian, Xia Song felt a chill on his back, and the next second he immediately said, "Master Jiu, I didn't see it."
"Maybe when I went to the Dean's office, the Dean's three-year-old son was there and went through the lady's bag while I wasn't paying attention."
He said it so seriously that he almost believed it himself.
"Go to the pharmacy and buy a new one. Be more careful with your beloved's things next time."
Seeing Ji Liangnian scolding Xia Song with a slightly cold expression, Ji Qianchong stood up, walked to the man, and sat down.
"It's not something valuable. When I came in, I saw that Xia Song had a little scrape on the back of his hand, so I wanted to apply some medicine to him. I remembered that I bought a bottle of ointment this afternoon, so I searched for it for a while."
Xia Song immediately put his hands behind his back.
When she looked up, she met the man's cold gaze.
"Master Jiu, I suddenly remembered that I have some things to do."
"You go first."
Xia Song was stunned for a moment. This seemed to be the first time that Jiu Ye replied to him so quickly.
Xia Song turned around and left immediately.
"When did Xia Song follow you?"
"Four years ago." The man said as he picked up some food for her.
"He seems to listen to you very well." She said, staring at his profile.
"That's what he should do."
Ji Qianchong raised his eyebrows slightly, "You seem to be different from before, much more confident."
She remembered the first time she met fourteen-year-old Ji Li when she was eight. The boy was handsome, with a cold look in his eyes, yet he was always a little timid.
Every time they went out, he would hold her hand tightly. It was hard to tell whether it was because he was shy or because he was afraid she would run away.
Anyway, there was always a hint of timidity in his fair and pure eyes whenever he looked at the world.
But now, his eyes were deep, and no emotion could be seen in them. The nobleness that emanated from his bones, the self-confidence that he had cultivated since childhood, and the aura that made him respected everywhere.
In four years, it's like I've been reborn.
The only thing that remained unchanged was the way he looked at her.
The man listened to her words, his expression changing slightly. He lowered his head to cut the steak and glanced at her slightly. "Maybe that's why he can only be your brother, and I can be your man."
Behind him are the countless lights of the capital city outside the window.
It has to be said that Ji Liangnian now gives her a sense of security that comes from the heart.
It was a feeling of stability, of him being able to protect her, stand behind her and walk hand in hand with her throughout her life.
Unlike before, she asked Ji Li with a smile: "Brother, can you marry me in the future?"
The other party just touched her head and smiled slightly, nothing else.
It felt really good to be claimed by him and to be his wife.
Ji Qianchong smiled: "When I grow up a few years, I will let you be Ji Qianchong's man."
Ji Liangnian didn't say anything, but his hand that was cutting the steak paused slightly.
He placed the cut steak in front of her, and knowing that she didn't like Western food, he only cut a small piece.
Sitting next to him at a close distance, what caught Ji Qianchong's sight was Ji Liangnian's red earlobes.
She leaned forward and kissed his face, teasing him deliberately: "You are so cute."
The man coughed lightly and held down her hand that was inserted into his clothes. "Eat."
Ji Qianchong pinched him lightly and smiled like a little fox. He took his hand out and curled his fingers, as if to feel the body temperature on his fingertips.
She blinked, making her seemingly well-behaved face even more innocent: "It feels so good."
