Chapter 126: White Night of Week 1

The mountain breeze is cool at night and insects are chirping in the jungle.

Su Yi fell into the velvet-covered cave, lying with his wings folded.

His brows were twisted together in pain, and his heart... started to hurt again!

Outside the cave, the hunters who had finished mining were grilling meat, drinking and making loud noises. These guys had accumulated five zeros, and they would die soon.

Su Yi covered his ears, huddled in the elf cave, wrapped himself up with his wings, and curled up into a small ball.

The quilt covered his body tightly, wrapping him like a cocoon. Su Yi pretended to be asleep, not wanting the hunters to discover his heart disease weakness.

It hurts...

The sharp pain pierced the blood vessels of the heart again and again. Su Yi covered his left chest, sweating coldly from the pain.

He pinched the corner of the quilt tightly, his fingers turning white from the force, trying to grab the quilt to relieve the extreme pain. In the end, the pain was so severe that he lost even the basic grip strength, and his hands became completely powerless and fell down helplessly.

Su Yi was in so much pain that he couldn't speak, and he had no strength left. He was like a corpse, wrapped in the quilt. He turned his head unwillingly and habitually looked to his left side -

In that direction? There is only cold, hard cave stone, pitch black.

Su Yi didn't know what he was expecting. It was so strange. From childhood to adulthood, no one had ever taken care of him when he was sick. Why did he always do this? Turn his head and look towards the left side near his heart?

His eyes were fixed on the white dots floating in the air, as if he was expecting someone to arrive.

But there was no one there, as it always had been.

Su Yi closed his eyes tightly, not wanting to look at those black stones anymore. He curled himself up. There was no medicine for heart disease in the game now, so he could only rely on himself to get through it.

If I can't make it, I'll just die. I won't have anything to worry about anyway.

A cold wind blew through the cave, and a whimpering sound came from the cracks in the rocks. Su Yi was in so much pain that his consciousness became confused. He endured the pain and sleepiness until the second half of the night in a daze.

“Woo——”

Above the vast sky, there was a waning moon. The wind blew, and the south wind knew what I meant, blowing up waves in the forest. Thousands of leaves rustled. Su Yi woke up from his illness and wrapped himself tightly in his blanket. He heard a wolf howl outside, breaking through the night sky.

The drawn-out sound echoed in the empty forest, resounding in the moonlight.

...Bang, bang, bang!

After a while, fierce gunfire was heard outside the cave and flames flickered everywhere.

Su Yi guessed that it was the hunters with guns holding torches who were resisting.

But the howl of that wolf was very ethereal, obviously not from an ordinary pack of wolves, but most likely from... a high mountain snow wolf, a creature that lived only in legends.

The elf Su Yi has heard a lot of rumors about them. It is said that the creatures living in the magic forest have different guardians throughout the year. The mountain snow wolf is the messenger of the winter night. It will go down the mountain to patrol when winter is approaching and bite to death all poachers who enter the forest, so that other creatures can spend the winter safely.

This kind of wolf is completely snow-white. Unlike other wolves, the snow wolf is aloof and never willing to stay in a group. It is a complete lone wolf.

Among organisms, those that have a hunting behavior pattern often mean that the individual strength is far stronger than the group.

Soon, Su Ye heard screams one after another.

A strong smell of blood wafted out from outside the cave.

Wheel wheel wheel wheel...

A strange sound was approaching. Su Yi secretly peeked through the crack of the quilt and saw a human head rolling. The neck was bloody. It was bitten off alive!

There were still traces of blood on his beard, and his eyes were not even closed, indicating that he died with his eyes open.

Su Yi quickly retracted his gaze and stopped looking at the dead head. The elf was thin, so he quietly tucked his head and delicate hands and feet into the bed, and didn't make any sound.

With his wings injured, Su Yi is now completely unable to cast magic and doesn't want to come into contact with the terrifying snow wolf outside.

However, elves are indigenous creatures in the forest, and the snow wolf should not harm them. They will probably leave after biting the poachers to death.

Su Yi hid in the quilt, secretly observing the situation outside through the gap in the quilt. Suddenly, he saw... this snow wolf was behaving very strangely.

The wolf raised its head, as if sniffing something in the strong smell of blood. Suddenly, it seemed to smell something exciting and ran towards the cave!

Su Yi suddenly became nervous.

Is this wild wolf hungry...and wants to eat him?

...It shouldn't be necessary, Su Yi thought. There are several strong hunters outside with hundreds of kilograms of human flesh. They won't want to eat a skinny elf like him, right?

There was a rustling sound as the animal's paws stepped on the soil and rocks.

The snow wolf is coming!

It was a male wolf. Su Yi looked at it secretly. The wolf was over three meters long and very huge.

Once in, the spacious cave seemed narrow. Its fur was as shiny and thick as the first snow, just like the white snow on the top of a high mountain.

A pair of sharp wolf eyes flashed scarlet light in the darkness, exuding the breath of a beast.

The huge snow wolf sniffed around in the cave and soon found him hiding in the quilt.

Su Yi felt the quilt become heavier, and a wolf's paw stepped on the corner of his quilt!

The next second, the huge wolf head came close, emitting a hot breath, and the long wolf beak arched over him and kept sniffing.

“Hmm!”

Su Yi couldn't help but scream. He didn't know what was wrong with this wild wolf, sticking close to his body and sniffing around like that. He had never heard of a snow wolf that would treat a forest elf so rudely!

The elf Su Yi had no choice but to emerge from his bed. He stared at the huge snow wolf and flapped his broken wings with all his might, showing a ferocious look:

“Go…get out…”

He tried his best to drive the giant wolf away, but suddenly -

"Su Yi..."

The snow wolf made a human voice, and he suddenly changed back to human form. The werewolf with white fur and red eyes lay on Su Yi's body and kept calling his name:

"Su Yi, it's me, Bai Ye!"

In the first episode, Bai Ye drew a werewolf card after entering the Monster City. Now he is half human and half beast, with a human head and a wolf body, and is two meters tall.

Bai Ye paid special attention to his movements. He carefully supported his hands on both sides of Su Yi to avoid pressing his fragile elf.

In front of him, Su Yi did not respond to his call, and there was confusion on his face.

Bai Ye asked tentatively:

"You...don't recognize me?"

Su Yi didn't know how to react. He saw the strong werewolf in front of him suddenly become like a wounded beast. He grabbed his white hair and said to him with scarlet eyes:

"Is it because I've become like this... that you can't recognize me? I'm... Bai Ye..."

The Snow Wolf spoke in a halting manner, then opened his eyes and looked at him expectantly.

……white night.

Su Yi chewed over the name in his mind, and for a long while, he remained silent.

"You...don't remember me?" Bai Ye asked in a low voice.

He knew that he had to be brainwashed in [Virtual Reality] before entering [Horror Script Killing]. Even if he was not his current non-human appearance with white hair and red eyes, Su Yi probably...had no memory of him at all.

Now he is just a strange beast to Su Yi.

Bai Ye suddenly felt like a piece of his heart was dug out. Intellectually, he knew that Su Yi would be brainwashed, but this was completely different from seeing with his own eyes that Su Yi really didn't remember him and was looking at him with confused eyes.

Those damn idiots! How did they turn Su Yi into this? Su Yi, who didn't remember anything, lived numbly in this dangerous world. When he was sick, there was no one to even pour him a cup of hot water. I don't know how painful it would be...

"…white night."

Su Yi muttered the name to himself.

The snow wolf in front of him looked extremely pitiful, completely different from the one that was majestically biting a human head outside the cave just now.

Su Yi had no good feelings towards any stranger, especially a wild beast that broke into his cave without permission and sniffed his body. But for some reason, when he saw the sad look on the snow wolf in front of him, Su Yi hoped in his heart that he would not do that again and not show such an expression again.

"white night…"

Su Yi read it twice, and suddenly felt that... this name sounded familiar. His memory gradually loosened, and he suddenly remembered:

"You are my high school classmate."

“…”

Bai Ye was speechless.

High school classmate? This title made him laugh and cry. It was indeed a classmate? Yes, but this was not his most important identity...

"I'm your boyfriend!" said Snow Wolf Bai Ye.

Su Yi tilted his head, as if thinking, and then nodded. He remembered this.

There was a King Game in high school, and they were indeed fake lovers for two months... or three months. However, Bai Ye acted very unfamiliar with him, and he only spoke a few words to him. After graduation, he could hardly remember Bai Ye's name.

Not like the fanatic he is now?

Su Yi lowered his head, not too embarrassed to look directly into Bai Ye's red eyes, and whispered:

"Um, the King's Game... isn't it just a joke? We agreed that when the time comes..."

"This is not a joke." Snow Wolf Bai Ye immediately interrupted him and said to him seriously.

Su Yi was stunned. The Bai Ye in his memory would not talk to him seriously like this, and he never even listened to him. That vague and distant ordinary classmate was completely different from the Bai Ye in front of him.

"Your memory has been wiped."

Bai Ye took a deep breath, calmed down his anger and wanted to kill those idiots, and tried to narrate the key facts in a calm tone:

"We are in a serious relationship."

Bai Ye looked at Su Yi's expression. He was still a little stunned, as if he had not fully understood the deep meaning. He added:

"The kind that can kiss?"

Su Yi:!

The wings flapped, sending out a signal that the elf was nervous. Su Yi didn't expect that in the past 19 years of her boring and empty life, she would suddenly... have a boyfriend.

Seeing Su Yi's frightened expression, Bai Ye approached him with some heartache, and the fluffy white wolf tail behind him stood up and shook:

"You...don't remember anything at all?"

Su Yi remained silent and shook his head. If the snow wolf named Bai Ye was telling the truth, then the memory in his mind was probably completely wiped out. He only had a vague impression of his high school classmate Bai Ye, but no impression of his lover Bai Ye, and no memory of... kissing.

Hearing his words, the snow wolf's tail drooped down, as if it was depressed.

Su Yi felt a little sad and couldn't help wanting to comfort Bai Ye. He stretched out his hand, tried to get closer, and finally gently touched the snow wolf's tail.

The werewolf Bai Ye did not resist his touch, so Su Yi became bolder. He stroked him boldly like a lover. The wolf's tail was fluffy and very comfortable.

“Although I don’t quite remember…”

Su Yi opened her mouth and spoke softly, her wings folded together, as if she was extremely nervous, her emerald green eyes drooped, a little shy:

"But I... don't mind you getting close."
