Chapter 125 The Battle of Braniko (Part 5)

Noren was stunned when he saw a figure standing on the rooftops around him.

That was the person she had always hated the most yet loved the most, someone she outwardly despised but secretly longed for—her older sister.

Although her appearance had changed and the color of her pupils had turned azure, her light peach-colored hair and the connection she shared with her bloodline allowed Norren to recognize her true identity at a glance.

"Sister Freya..."

Norren stared blankly at Freya's figure, muttering incredulously.

Although he had expected this, after seeing it with his own eyes, Norren found that he still couldn't accept the reality. His beloved and admired older sister had actually been brainwashed and controlled by the Healer, and her body must have been thoroughly abused long ago.

That despicable Healer!!!

Noren turned to look at Chen Hao, his eyes revealing undisguised resentment, as if he wanted to tear him to pieces with his gaze.

"Aren't you surprised? There's an even more surprising gift waiting for you, Princess Norren. Please accept it."

Chen Hao, however, paid no heed to Noren's angry and resentful gaze. He tilted his head slightly, a pleased smile returning to his lips, and loudly proclaimed:

"In addition, I have also planted a hundred spies among your thousand-plus knights! Knights of the Holy Lance, when the battle begins, be very careful of your comrades, they might turn around and betray you!"

At this point, Chen Hao had gained the upper hand and there seemed to be no need for him to deceive the knights any longer, so they all believed him.

The knights of the Holy Lance Order were in an uproar, silently widening the distance between themselves and casting suspicious glances at their former comrades-in-arms. The already unstable morale of the army was now in complete disarray.

"Nonsense! Knights of the Holy Lance! Do not believe the enemy's lies! This is a deceptive tactic he uses to demoralize the troops!"

Norren turned around and shouted at the knights behind him, but [Eagle Eye] Trisd saw that the [Healing] Warrior silently planted his serpent staff on the ground with one hand, raised his other free hand, and put his fingers together.

"Smack!"

"Show yourself!"

With a crisp snap of fingers and a solemn command, a commotion suddenly broke out among the knights. Upon hearing the command, one knight thrust his lance into his comrade without hesitation! His comrades around him watched in disbelief as they quickly put some distance between themselves.

"For the Hero of Healing!"

The knight brandished his lance and launched a frenzied attack on his comrades, shouting like a fanatic.

"Pfft! Pfft! Pfft!"

The knight was then killed by a hail of bullets from his comrades. Although the traitor before them had been eliminated, a chill ran through all the knights. The Healer had not lied! There really was a spy among them!

Chen Hao was actually lying to them. He did brainwash a few knights in the Holy Lance Knights and plant them as spies, but the number was not as outrageous as a hundred. His purpose was to disrupt their morale, prevent them from being completely united in battle, and make them have to be careful that their teammates might backstab them, thus relieving some of the pressure on Kreeher and the others.

"Tristad! And knights! Slay the Healer! Kill those troublemakers!"

Seeing that morale was starting to crumble, Norren immediately issued the order to go to war. She had no choice but to fight now, regardless of whether she could win or not, otherwise there would be no way to fight when morale was completely broken!

With Norren's command, the battle was about to begin.

The knights around the carriage at the front of the procession rushed towards the Healer, forming a human wall and holding long spears in rows, launching a fearless charge against the enemy in front of them.

At this moment, [Eagle Eye] Trisd swiftly drew his bow and arrow, nocked an arrow, and prepared to fire. His sharp eyes, like those of an eagle, were fixed on the [Healing] Warrior before him. If the Warrior showed any weakness while dealing with the knights' charge, he would immediately deliver a fatal arrow.

Chen Hao remained unmoved by the knights' parallel charge and the long spears that came side by side toward him. He released intense waves of psychic energy around him, disturbing the space. The space was violently opened by the psychic energy of the emission type.

[Instant teleportation? Portal]

Just as the knights' lances were about to reach Chen Hao's body, they mysteriously disappeared into the ripples of space, then emerged from different angles in all directions, carrying the force of their relentless charge towards their own bodies.

"puff!!!!"

The sharp spearheads pierced directly through the weak points in their armor, and the knights' merciless lance charges pushed the spearheads through their bodies.

The passage closed, and the shut-off portal severed the gun barrel, leaving a smooth, mirror-like cut. The knights let out a bloodcurdling scream, but they were still alive, managing to pull back two steps despite their wounds.

The knights and Hawkeye Trisd broke out in a cold sweat at the bizarre scene before them.

"I advise you not to lay a hand on me, or you will only hurt yourselves."

Chen Hao looked at the knights around him and kindly reminded them with a smile.

[Eagle Eye] Trisd, defiant of evil, released the bowstring in his hand, and a sharp arrow coated with deadly poison flew towards Chen Hao.

But it was all in vain. Just as the arrow was about to reach Chen Hao's body, it mysteriously disappeared into the surrounding space again.
