"I really don't understand why a fox would hatch from a divine bird's egg. One is oviparous and the other is viviparous. They don't seem to have anything in common, do they?"
Noren complained that even as a native of this world, she found this situation, where she couldn't tell whether the divine bird had cheated on her or the fox had been unfaithful, strange.
"Mythical beasts, aren't they amazing?"
Chen Hao touched the eggshell, feeling the magic contained within, as well as the vitality and soul fluctuations of the unhatched little life inside. Suddenly, he had an idea.
"Noren, what do you think would happen if we all infused it with some magic and let it hatch?"
Chen Hao looked at the egg in front of him with great interest.
"But the process of infusing magic to hatch is itself a kind of recognition ceremony, right? After this little guy hatches, he might recognize all of us as his masters at the same time. If you were to add him to your harem in the future, wouldn't you find that relationship strange?"
Noren frowned, clearly puzzled by Chen Hao's suggestion.
"I plan to raise it as a daughter."
Chen Hao grinned, and upon hearing this, Norren glanced at him speechlessly.
"A goddaughter with no blood relation, huh? You're not planning on some kind of father-daughter game, are you??"
Noren rolled her eyes as she spoke; she knew Chen Hao all too well.
"I just wanted to experience raising a pet."
As Chen Hao spoke, he awkwardly scratched his face, clearly indicating that this brat had other plans.
"If you want to raise a child like this, why not have a real daughter with me?"
Noren gave a suggestive smile, slowly walked to Chen Hao's side, and straddled Chen Hao's lap.
"But I haven't had breakfast yet."
As Chen Hao spoke, he glanced at the food on the table, which had completely gone cold, while Noren lingered impatiently for a moment.
"It's okay if you don't eat breakfast, right?"
Faced with Noren's enthusiastic challenge, how could Chen Hao refuse? How could he possibly refuse?
