The next day, the morning sun, nearing noon, streamed into the room and shone on the bed.
On the bed, the two, naked and exposed, embraced each other, still fast asleep.
Kyal was awakened by the warm sunlight. He opened his sleepy eyes, and the first thing he saw as his vision gradually cleared was Kreh's peaceful sleeping face.
"good morning…"
Speaking softly, Kyal gently lifted her bangs and kissed her forehead lightly.
"Hmm..."
Kreeher seemed to have been woken up. Feeling the touch on her forehead, she groggily opened her eyes. Her blue eyes were a little confused, like a kitten that had just woken up, which was extremely cute.
"Good morning... Kyal..."
Kreeher gazed at Kyal's smiling face, her conscious mind reflecting on the madness of the previous night, her face flushing slightly.
"Sorry to wake you up."
Kyal sat up in bed, leaning against the headboard. He really wanted to have a cigarette afterward, but unfortunately, there were no cigarettes in the world.
"It's alright, Kyal."
Kreeher sat beside him, leaning on his shoulder, her arms wrapped around Kyal's arm, her soft touch inadvertently brushing against his hand.
"Kayal, I now know for sure how I feel about you."
Kreeher looked up at Kyal, her blue eyes filled with tenderness and love, leaning on his arm like a little bird seeking shelter.
"I love you."
Kyal looked down at Kreeher, a smile playing on his lips, his inner joy undisguised. This single dog was finally out of the single life! Someone finally liked him!
“I love you too, Kreeher.”
Kyal reached out and stroked and tidied Kreh's slightly messy white hair.
Quietly and sweetly cuddling, Kresh asked softly:
"Kayal, are we considered lovers now?"
"certainly."
"Kayal, do you remember the promise I made to you before?"
"Hmm... the one about repaying a debt of gratitude?"
"Yes... I said I would repay this kindness with my whole life, and I would do anything for you."
"But now I'm really paying for it with my whole life..."
Kyal's smile was strange.
"From now on, as Kyal's lover, I will do my best to help you with anything. Kyal's goal is my goal."
"Kayal wants to take revenge on Princess Freya and the other two heroes, right? I'll help you with that too."
Kreeher looked at Kyal with unwavering determination. After learning about Kyal's memories before the reboot, she completely understood Kyal's resolve to take revenge on those three heroes.
"Then, I'll have to rely on Kreeher's guidance from now on."
Kyal gently nuzzled her head with his chin.
———————
The two got up, took a shower, and got dressed. It was almost noon by then.
Kreeher went downstairs to buy lunch from a shop owner because she had been hungry for almost a day and had done a lot of strenuous exercise the night before. She needed to replenish her nutrition, so she paid extra to the shop owner, who prepared a very generous portion for her lunch.
Kyal remained in the room, sitting at his workbench, continuing to assemble the guns he had only partially assembled the day before.
"Click~"
Loading the gun feels smooth; mission accomplished.
Kyal looked at the large pistol in his hand. The silver-gray gun body had no extra decorations, simple and clear. The gun was about 25cm long, and the grip was long enough to fit Kyal's hand and even had some room to spare. If an ordinary person held it, it would probably feel very heavy, but for Kyal, who was level 29, it was a piece of cake.
Kyal put the pistol aside and began making bullets. As for why he only made the pistol, it was because Kyal only remembered the structural diagram of the pistol.
Kyal prepared .50 caliber bullets for this gun, as only this caliber could give him peace of mind in this other world, and his current strength was more than enough to suppress such recoil.
With the alchemical magic and knowledge he had "imitated," making primers and propellant for bullets was a piece of cake, and bullet heads and casings were even easier to make.
Kyal grasped the materials needed for the bullet, and then a golden light shone from his hand, enveloping the materials. The materials changed, shaped, and combined in Kyal's hands according to his will.
As materials, gunpowder, copper ingots, and steel ingots were continuously consumed, bullets were placed in prepared ammunition boxes.
The materials were quickly used up, and a total of 120 bullets were made, which was enough for him to use for a while.
Remove the magazine from the pistol and load six bullets, as the caliber is too large and only six bullets can be loaded.
After reloading, Kyal put the magazine back into the pistol, suppressing the urge to fire a shot. He didn't want to disturb others while they were in a hotel.
"I'll call you Silver Eagle."
Kyal ran his fingers over the barrel, engraving the words "Silver Eagle" on it with alchemical magic. It was a silver-gray, large-caliber pistol, modeled after the Desert Eagle; the name was quite fitting.
"Kayal, I've brought lunch back."
Kreeher's voice came from outside the door. Kyal put down his pistol and quickly used his [Shrinking Earth] technique to open the door.
Lunch was indeed very lavish, with a large plate piled high with bacon and topped with plenty of vegetables and scrambled eggs cooked in a savory-sweet style.
Next is a thick soup with bread, slices of meat, and chopped vegetables. Although it doesn't look very appealing, it's packed with nutrients.
Although the food was much worse than what they ate in the palace, neither Kyal nor Kreh were picky eaters, and besides, they were both very hungry.
