After listening to Kreeher's request, the old king fell into deep thought, his right index finger tapping rhythmically on the armrest of his throne.
This is not hard to understand. [Sword Saint] Kreeher is just that kind of person. He will repay kindness, avenge wrongs, and atone for his sins.
The Healer, Kayal, who healed her right hand, was undoubtedly her benefactor, so it's not surprising that Kree made such a request to repay that debt of gratitude.
However, as the kingdom's strongest "Sword Saint," wouldn't it be a waste of his talents to merely serve as a swordsmanship instructor for a "Healing" hero who lacks combat abilities, and even have him accompany him on monster hunts? If Kreh were to go to the battlefield, his value would undoubtedly be far greater.
However, the Healer is not without merit. If he is given a higher level and grows stronger, the kingdom will gain an immortal legion in the future.
Originally, someone was supposed to accompany the Healer on a hunting and leveling-up mission after this, but since Sword Saint Kree has personally spoken up, let's give her face.
Thinking this, the old king paused in tapping his fingers on the armrest, and was about to speak, but then seemed to remember something and closed his mouth again.
I almost forgot, although the Healer Kayal is just a young man who has just come of age, the Sword Saint Kree is only two years older than him.
Is it a scene of a lone man and woman fighting side by side in the wilderness, or hunting monsters?
What if these two people of similar age spark a romance?
How am I supposed to explain this to the Gretel family? The union of the Gretel family's most talented "Sword Saint" and a "Healer" hero with no fighting ability? They definitely won't accept it; they only accept the bloodline of the strong.
Thinking of this, the old king frowned and began to hesitate about whether to agree. He carefully examined the pure white girl in front of him.
With clear, cold eyes and a commanding aura of swordsmanship, he seemed to have only the sword in his heart. How could such a powerful swordsman have feelings of love and affection in his heart?
Men will only slow down her sword-drawing speed!
Thinking of this, the old king relaxed a lot, and his tightly furrowed brows unfurrowed.
"Since that's the case, then so be it. You will serve as the swordsmanship instructor for the Healer, and after he has completed his training and healed all the heroes and sages, you will go and help him hunt and level up."
"Thank you for your kindness, Your Majesty."
Kreeher bowed again.
So this afternoon, Kyal saw the pure white girl again, a situation that was completely beyond Kyal's expectations.
"Good afternoon, Kyal. I will be instructing you in swordsmanship from now on."
Kreeher looked at Kyal, who was surprised by her arrival, and a faint smile appeared on her lips.
"Good afternoon, Kreeher. Perhaps I should call you teacher now?"
Kyal also realized what was happening, and while chuckling and greeting him, asked in a joking tone.
"No need, Kyal, just call me by my name."
Kreeher shook her head. She wasn't old at all! Besides, she didn't want to take advantage of Kyal. Although she would indeed teach Kyal swordsmanship in the future, she only considered it as compensation for Kyal and had no intention of becoming his teacher.
“Okay, Kresh, I’m ready.”
Kyal picked up the unopened practice steel sword beside him.
“You’ve already studied basic swordsmanship for a few days, haven’t you, Kyal?”
As Kreeher spoke, she also picked up her practice steel sword and weighed it in her hand.
"Well, my previous teacher said my basics are pretty good. Is Kreech going to teach me some advanced, unique sword techniques next?"
Kyal appeared slightly excited, but in reality, he was completely unmoved. He had already copied Kree's [Divine Sword] and [Insight] during the healing process, and the level was the same as Kree's, Lv5.
"No, Gretel's swordsmanship is not to be passed on to outsiders. I will hone your swordsmanship through actual combat in the future, so that your swordsmanship can have your own style."
Kreeher spoke quite seriously, raising her sword and assuming a fighting stance.
"Huh? Are we going to fight Kreeher?"
Kyal looked somewhat hesitant.
"Stop talking nonsense and attack me with all your might."
Kreeher said expressionlessly, even when she was just teaching someone to train, she was in a fighting stance, her expression was cold, and her sharp sword aura swept over Kyal, causing Kyal to freeze involuntarily.
"Okay... I'm going now..."
Kyal barely managed to get into a fighting stance, gritted his teeth, and rushed forward, swinging his sword with a death-defying spirit.
"Smack!"
Kreh's sword struck Kyal's neck before it could strike, but fortunately, she managed to stop in time. It was also an unsheathed practice sword, otherwise Kyal would have been dead.
Kyal's vision went black, and he collapsed.
"Kayal!"
Kree was so frightened that she dropped her sword and covered her mouth in panic.
Oh no! I took it too seriously!
And so, for the next few afternoons, Kyar lived in misery.
—————————
In the blink of an eye, a month has passed.
In the past month, Kyal has completed all the morning lessons he was supposed to learn thanks to his exceptional talent.
The afternoon's sparring session with Kreeher showed progress, as Kreeher gradually learned to hold back during the fight. At least Kyal has confirmed his own swordsmanship style, and presumably he can apply his own style to the [Imitation] [Divine Sword] as well.
