Chapter 6 Million Income

Mu Chen wanted to go to the airport right now, but he simply didn't have that much money.

I might as well wait until tomorrow to sell those medicinal herbs before going.

However, as soon as he stepped outside, he saw a lottery shop not far away. A thought flashed through his mind, and he walked over.

In his previous life, at the end of 1994, when he was starving and couldn't find anything to eat, he heard on the news that someone had won several million in the lottery, and he immediately burst out laughing.

Damn it, I'm so lucky.

Mu Chen had memorized that set of publicly available lottery numbers perfectly.

However, thirty years later, he couldn't remember one of the numbers in one of the sets.

However, it's alright.

After entering the store, he asked the owner to print out the numbers he remembered.

Give him two bets for each group.

The lottery draw will be held tomorrow.

"It's not too late."

Mu Chen was worried that the lottery ticket might be lost or stolen, so he put it directly into the Shennong Space.

After that, I found a regular hotel to stay in.

the next day.

Mu Chen ate something quickly and headed straight to the medicinal herb wholesale market.

This location is right near the airport, only about seven or eight kilometers away.

The entire street is filled with all kinds of medicinal herbs.

Mu Chen passed by several vendors and, after just one glance, realized that these were not wild animals, which put his mind at ease.

He wandered around for a while and finally spotted a shop with a decent-looking storefront in the crowd. He put some medicinal herbs in a black bag and put it in to test the waters.

The shop is filled with the strong smell of Chinese medicine.

A bald man in his forties was greeting guests.

There was also a woman dressed in gold jewelry doing accounts nearby.

Mu Chen looked around but no one paid him any attention, so he had no choice but to step forward and ask, "Boss, I saw your sign outside, you buy medicinal herbs, right?"

"Yes! Young man, what do you want to sell? Show it to me."

The woman glanced at Mu Chen casually before continuing with her work, seemingly not taking the young man seriously.

Mu Chen opened the bag, took out a century-old ginseng, and handed it over.

The woman glanced at it and immediately put down the account book.

She looked him over and then waved to the bald man over there, "Old Wang, come here quickly."

Old Wang was a burly man with a thick gold chain around his neck, and he walked with a commanding presence.

He entered the counter and picked up the ginseng to examine it carefully. Although his expression changed well, Mu Chen still noticed that the bald man's eyes were gradually revealing surprise.

After a moment, the bald man looked up, sized up Mu Chen, and said, "Young man, is this yours?"

"It was dug up from the mountain."

How many do you want to sell them for?

"Name your price, and if it's right, we'll sell! If not, I'll take it."

Mu Chen didn't want to waste time, and said he was about to take his ginseng back.

But the bald man held on tightly and wouldn't let go, saying, "We can talk it over."

Mu Chen forcibly took back his belongings. "You name your price."

The bald man noticed that the person in front of him seemed wary, but he wasn't one to back down, so he asked immediately, "You're from out of town, aren't you?"

"What? Trying to lower the price?"

This kid's got some interesting skills.

"Old Wang, please sit over there and chat, young man!" The woman was much more polite this time.

The bald man walked around the counter and put his arm around Mu Chen. "Haha, little brother, this way, have a cup of tea first, let's chat while we drink."

Although Mu Chen sat down, he did not let his guard down.

He didn't even take a sip of the tea the bald man brought him.

These days, it's scary!

Baldy had already noticed that Mu Chen was very wary, but he didn't expect him to refuse even a drink of water, so he simply got straight to the point.

"Young man, just name your price. As long as it's not too outrageous, I'll take it."

Mu Chen simply held up three fingers.

The bald man smiled and asked, "Thirty thousand?" Then he immediately said, "You're a discerning guy, thirty thousand it is, I'll take it."

"No, you missed a zero," Mu Chen immediately corrected.

"What? Three hundred thousand?"

While the bald man was still in a daze, the middle-aged man he had just entertained looked at Mu Chen with surprise and asked what kind of treasure was priced at 300,000.

Seeing the other person's suit and leather jacket, Mu Chen hesitated for a moment before placing the ginseng in his hand on the table.

The older man next to him immediately examined it, even using a magnifying glass.

The bald man let out a heavy sigh. "Young man, do you know what 300,000 means these days?"

“Boss, you’re a businessman, so you should also be an expert in medicinal herbs. I think you know better than me whether my goods are worth this price.”

"May I ask your name, young man? And where are you from?"

"Mu Chen, a member of the Miao family."

Miao ethnic group?

The bald man, who had been somewhat impetuous, changed his expression upon hearing that the young man in front of him was a Miao person. Even the woman beside him showed some apprehension.

It seems that the Miao people are someone you should avoid provoking if possible.

This fear stems from the Han people's lack of understanding of the Miao people.

After all, in earlier years, Han people were afraid whenever they heard the name of a Miao man.

As for what they were afraid of, even if they hadn't seen it, they had heard about it from the older generation.

Sure enough, while the bald man was in a daze, the woman next to him quietly nudged him.

After realizing what was happening, he immediately put on a smiling face. "So it's you, Miao brother! My apologies! You've been so busy talking that your tea has gone cold. Let me get you a fresh cup."

"Boss Wang, if you don't want the price this Miao guy is asking for, I'll take it."

At this moment, a middle-aged man who could identify ginseng spoke up: "This ginseng is at least three or four hundred years old. Look at the plump flesh of the root, which is pale yellow."

"And these leaves, so green and fresh, clearly just sprouted a few days ago."
