"You ignorant little girl!" Old Chi roared.
The aunties and Miao people in the courtyard suddenly stood up.
Amo quickly went up to Duoduo, took her hand, and wiped away her tears, her brows furrowed.
Ah Bao, who was helping the academicians carry equipment, rushed up when he heard the shout.
When he saw Duoduo's tears streaming down her face, A Bao's anger soared, and the Miao people blocked the people from Yanjing.
"No one is allowed to approach the orchard."
Ah Bao's hand gripped the Miao knife so tightly it creaked. He stared at Elder Chi, ready to explode at any moment.
But Ah Bao still held back, gritting his teeth as he said to Ah Mo, "Holy Maiden, can we... still endure this?"
This is a serious matter.
"What's wrong? What's wrong?" Old Ji strode into the courtyard.
Amo, holding Duoduo's hand, turned to Elder Chi and said, "Elder Chi, I am very grateful for your help in Yanjing, but... before we went up the mountain, I said that I would take you up the mountain and provide you with vines containing the Divine Dragon Grass. You were only responsible for research, and you didn't care about or ask about anything else, but..."
"Old Master Chi, why are you yelling at my sister? Who did she do wrong?"
“Even if you are a botany expert, what you are doing is really putting me in a difficult position.”
"Everyone knows these vines are precious. If the orchard hadn't allowed it, would she have taken out so many to feed the livestock?"
"But look, you've scared her!"
Although Amo's voice was soft, it carried a hint of coldness.
Old Chi didn't know A Duo's identity, so he couldn't understand why A Mo would let a little girl waste the precious vine.
So when his stubborn streak kicked in, he said, "Tang Mo, these vines are extremely valuable for research. Finding even one or two is like climbing Mount Everest, and this little kid is actually chopping them up to feed livestock! It's simply..."
"Lao Chi."
Ah Mo's voice grew even colder.
The women immediately tried to shoo him away, saying, "You old Han Chinese man, get out of here..."
"Go away, we Miao people don't welcome you."
Although the aunties' Han Chinese dialect was not standard, they made no attempt to hide their anger.
The tense atmosphere immediately drew Major Lei Zhan over, but the Miao family members drew their Miao swords in a flash, ready for battle.
If Lei Zhan and his men dare to come forward and fight, a bloody battle is bound to break out.
"Old Chi, why are you yelling at a little kid?"
When Elder Ji asked, Elder Chi realized that the situation had exceeded his expectations and seemed to be on the verge of turning into a bloody conflict.
After Amo went up the mountain, her cell phone got a signal, and it rang at that moment.
When she saw that it was Ah Chen's number, she immediately went to the side to answer it.
"Holy Maiden, what happened at the top of the mountain? I've already told Ah Bao and Guo Lin that no one should be blocking the way anymore."
"Where are you, Ah Chen? Can you see this way?" Ah Mo looked around.
Ah Chen said, "I was on another mountaintop, and I vaguely saw that something was wrong over there."
"I'm sorry, Achen. It was my mistake. I underestimated how much these elderly people valued seeing the treasure, and Aduo was wronged."
"Aduo was wronged? What happened?"
"I'll call you back when I'm done."
After hanging up the call, Amo came over, pulled Duoduo up, and squatted down. "Don't cry, your older sister will help you chop it up!"
"Tang Mo, you can't chop it up. You've already ruined so much. You can't stomp on it."
Old Man Chi didn't seem to realize the seriousness of the situation.
Tang Mo ignored the old man and quickly chopped the vines, smiling as she said to A Duo, "Duo Duo, tie them up for your older sister, it'll be faster this way."
Aduo glanced at the old man Chi next to her, then squatted down and began to tie the vines into rolls.
Upon seeing this, Old Man Chi actually exploded.
Amo looked up at Abao, who was on the verge of exploding with rage, and said, "Bring two drops of the medicine used to soak the vines."
"Go quickly," Ah Bao instructed the strong Miao man beside him.
The item arrived quickly.
Amo gestured to the old man surnamed Chi, and while helping Duoduo chop, she said, "Mr. Chi, thank you for your recognition of the vines used in our orchard at the press conference in Yanjing, but I can't help you with today's matter."
"Take these two drops of medicine and go down the mountain."
"The Miao people down the mountain will treat you well."
It's already quite remarkable that Amo was able to hold back her anger!
But Old Man Chi refused to leave.
Amo said, "Elder Chi, take your students and come down the mountain! If you don't leave, you'll face the consequences."
Old Ji said anxiously, "Tang Mo, that's just how Lao Chi is. He gets reckless when he sees precious plants. Please be understanding. I'll talk to him right away."
"Elder Ji, before the other Miao people know that Elder Chi has made my little sister cry, tell Elder Chi to go down the mountain quickly. Otherwise, when the Miao people of Heiwu Village get the news, I'm afraid even you won't be able to stay on the mountain."
Now, even the two old men, Ji and Chi, who were both rather simple-minded, understood that the Miao girl squatting on the ground, curling up vines, was probably no ordinary person.
That's true. If it were simple, this little girl wouldn't have chopped up so many vines to feed the chickens, ducks, and geese.
"Tang Mo, who is this young girl...?"
"Old Ji, stop asking! If we don't leave now, it will be too late."
Duoduo bit her lip and looked at Amo, saying, "Holy Maiden Sister, this is what my brother asked me to bring here to chop up."
"It's alright, Duoduo. It's your older sister who made you suffer. It's your older sister's fault. Your older sister didn't take good care of you."
"I won't blame the Holy Maiden, but this old Han man... he's so fierce!"
"Then let's just not let him stay on the mountain."
As soon as Amo said this, Abao immediately told the Miao people to take back the equipment they had just brought over, and let the old man surnamed Chi take his men away.
