Chapter 13 "The Yin-Yang Eyes" has finished loading.
The group immediately looked in the direction of the sound and found Xu Wenzheng lying on the ground, struggling to get up in embarrassment and fear.
The loud bang just now was from her laptop flying out of her hand, smashing through a bunch of plastic plates, and falling into the seafood tank...
A waiter rushed over and helped Xu Wen up. Others frantically used a fishing net to retrieve the laptop.
There have been many videos circulating online of customers falling down in the store, and now even our own employees are falling down on the ground inside the store. It's outrageous and definitely a management failure!
Suppressing his anger, Boss Chen said, "Who was in charge of this area today? They need to give me a reasonable explanation after get off work! Everyone else, stop watching here and go do your own thing!"
The waiters who had come out to see what was going on when they heard the commotion scattered in all directions, leaving only the unlucky Xu Wen limping over, rubbing his sore elbow.
She glanced at the computer she had retrieved; it wouldn't turn on. The only saving grace was that it was company property, not her personal property...
Xu Wen, panting, said, "It's alright. I have a backup on my phone's cloud drive. If you don't mind, Mr. Zhang, I'll just make the changes on my phone. You can take a look."
Even Mr. Chen greatly admires this dedication.
Zhang Mo didn't react at all, but suddenly asked, "Do you know what tripped you over just now?"
"No...no, I just slipped by accident..." Xu Wen quickly tried to explain, after all, anyone with eyes could see that the passage was clean and there was nothing obstructing it, so there was nothing that could trip someone up.
But upon closer reflection, she did clearly feel as if her right leg had kicked something.
And it was a heavy object, which is why she lost her balance.
This completely defied common sense and left her utterly bewildered. She instinctively glanced at Zhang Mo, who was directly opposite her.
But Zhang Mo and the three handsome men all had their eyes fixed on her right leg, which was covered by flesh-colored stockings.
But she hasn't even said it yet!
A chill ran down Xu Wen's spine. Remembering the rumors she'd heard before, she blurted out, "Boss! Could what those customers said be true...?"
Zhang Mo smiled, casually took out her phone and glanced at it, finding a new notification indeed—
[One minute ago, the Demon Clan administrator's backend message: "Yin-Yang Eyes" has finished loading]
Lang Xingliang chimed in, "Finally found out? Yes, your shop is haunted."
Upon hearing this, Mr. Chen's face turned completely black.
His brows furrowed, his face as dark and menacing as the calm before a storm. He glanced instinctively toward the kitchen to make sure no other employees had heard Xu Wen's words before he growled angrily, "I told you in the last meeting that anyone who says anything detrimental to unity in the store again can quit."
Xu Wen naturally felt very wronged: "Boss, I'm telling the truth."
Boss Chen's tone grew increasingly stern: "Are you here to work, or to tell the truth?!"
Xu Wen was momentarily speechless. He opened his mouth, but didn't know how to respond: "I..."
Boss Chen: "Do you still want your year-end bonus?!"
It's already January, and the Chinese New Year is just around the corner. Now is the perfect time to threaten them with their year-end bonuses.
But this touched a nerve with the working class, and Xu Wen's voice rose: "What does this have to do with my year-end bonus? Besides, I've only been here for two months. With your stingy nature, you probably never intended to give me a year-end bonus in the first place."
As if he'd been hit where it hurt, Boss Chen visibly choked up for a moment, but still managed to save face, saying, "Even if I don't give you the money, it'll be because you didn't perform well enough! When you first joined the company, I had the highest hopes for you, but look at your performance now, you've completely disappointed me!"
Xu Wen sneered: "Ha, do you think I'm a recent college graduate? Making empty promises? If this isn't resolved, forget about year-end bonuses, how will you even be able to pay next month's salaries?!"
With his financial resources severely questioned, Boss Chen broke down, and the work-related conflicts that had been building up for some time erupted, leading to a loud argument between the two.
The employees dared not come out, but they could still hear everything clearly through the crack in the open kitchen door, and their faces were all grim.
While watching the commotion, the three little wolves whispered among themselves, discussing very practical questions such as "What is a year-end bonus?", "How much is it?", "Do we get one?", and "Why don't we get one?"
Out of sight of the two arguing individuals, a translucent little boy, wearing a sailor-collar short-sleeved T-shirt that seemed out of place in the cold winter, heard the commotion and immediately covered his ears with his chubby little hands in fear, shrinking into a ball under a stool to hide. It seemed this wasn't the first time he'd witnessed such an argument.
Zhang Mo let out a sigh before calmly interrupting Boss Chen and Xu Wen's argument: "Stop arguing, I can help resolve this matter." Her voice was calm and resolute, as if it possessed a calming power.
After she said that, Mr. Chen was even more incredulous and began to suspect that this group of people had conspired from the beginning to set him up with his store's employees and Sunny!
His face was ashen as he glanced around at the people around him, his eyes filled with deep distrust, yet he maintained the composure of a businessman: "Mr. Zhang, I don't think today's situation is quite suitable for a live broadcast. How about we schedule another time?" His tone was clearly one of rejection and rejection.
Before Zhang Mo could even speak, the three little wolves immediately stood up. They had no concept of decorum; they just felt they'd been tricked by this guy.
"What's wrong with you, kid? You're kicking me out before I've even had a meal?" Lang Xing's voice was loud and clear, like a thunderclap, making people's eardrums hurt.
"Who do you think you are? You expect us to come and go as we please?" Lang Yue slammed her hand on the table.
"Let me tell you, we're already here, we don't have to broadcast, but you have to pay me!" Lang Ri's attitude was firm, leaving no room for negotiation.
Lang Yue: "You still need to eat!"
Lang Xing: "Yes! And we need to pack it up too!"
Boss Chen: "......"
