Ning Qiluo was a little surprised that someone who usually only talks a lot of nonsense was suddenly spouting profound life lessons, and then she laughed.
"What are you laughing at?" Su Muyu asked her.
"I'm laughing at you for acting like an old man, lecturing me on life's lessons, even though we grew up together." She finished speaking and puffed out her cheeks to show him.
Su Muyu switched his left hand to the steering wheel and used his right hand to ruffle Ning Qiluo's hair.
"We said we grew up together, but I was almost five years old when you were born."
“I don’t care, we grew up together,” she insisted.
Su Muyu couldn't persuade her otherwise, so he went along with her words: "Yes, we grew up together."
After arriving at the film set, Ning Qiluo immediately got into work mode.
Su Muyu stayed with her the whole time and even acted as her temporary assistant.
There weren't many people working so early, and Su Muyu even helped move props, which was a bit tiring, but he always had a gentle smile on his face.
Bai Haoyi felt a little guilty.
They insisted that Su Muyu must come to the next gathering, and Su Muyu, not wanting to be impolite, agreed.
Moreover, Bai Haoyi is very good at judging people. He had only exchanged a few words with Su Muyu, but he found that this person had an extraordinary demeanor and was good friends with Ning Qiluo. It seemed that he was probably rich and noble.
Ning Qiluo's scenes ended at 7 o'clock, and then she finished work early with everyone.
Her scenes for today weren't finished yet; she had another one in the afternoon. Bai Haoyi also had to direct scenes in the afternoon, so he kept urging Ning Qiluo to go back and catch up on her sleep.
Ning Qiluo fell asleep in the car.
Su Muyu got out of the car and opened the passenger door. Seeing that she was fast asleep, he couldn't bear to wake her. She had always been a good sleeper, ever since she was a child. On the way back, the car had the air conditioning on, and her face was a little flushed.
Afraid of letting in cold air when he opened the car door, Su Muyu took off his coat and covered her with it before hugging her.
By covering themselves with their clothes, the two of them closed the distance between them.
Su Muyu stared at the little girl's lips, his eyelashes drooping, a glint of light flashing in his eyes. He slowly leaned down, as if to press his lips against hers.
"Jiang Yingchi..."
The little girl moved her lips and called out someone's name in a soft, sweet voice, as if she were somewhat dependent on that name.
Su Muyu's face darkened, and he lost interest.
Ning Qiluo was in a dream, in which some scattered images were piecing together, and she tried hard to see those images clearly.
It's Jiang Yingchi; there are so many scenes of her and him together.
It was probably the joy in her dream; a smile slowly crept onto her lips. Su Muyu saw that she was so happy even in her sleep; she must be dreaming of someone else.
His displeasure deepened, his face darkened further, and he called out to her, "Qi Luo."
He's not awake.
"Qi Luo, we're home."
This sound barely pulled Ning Qiluo out of her dream.
She opened her eyes, her vision was blurry, and she looked a little dazed, which was incredibly cute.
Su Muyu leaned closer to her and asked, "Were you dreaming?"
Ning Qiluo responded vaguely.
"What did you dream about?" he pressed.
Ning Qiluo said, "I dreamt about delicious food." After saying that, she rubbed her stomach, "I must be hungry."
Then she got out of the car, not even looking at Su Muyu behind her, and walked forward with her head down, her steps very fast.
She dreamed of Jiang Yingchi.
How annoying, this persistent guy, he's all she dreams about.
What should I do? Maybe I should go find him! I should make things clear: either we keep seeing each other, or we never see each other again.
