"Ning Qiluo, your husband is here." (Side note)

Jiang Yingchi smiled.

...

Dubai Desert.

Ning Qiluo is busy with the filming schedule of the production crew.

She was sitting in front of the director's monitor, wearing a sun hat. In her first month in Dubai, she had already tanned two shades darker. Despite applying plenty of sunscreen, she still couldn't withstand the intense ultraviolet rays of the tropical desert.

Night was gradually falling.

She watched the replay over and over again in front of the director's monitor, then picked up the megaphone: "Reshoot this scene, props team, actors, get ready."

The actors rallied and resumed preparations.

The producer brought over a glass of olive-green Mojito to Ning Qiluo: "Director Ning."

Ning Qiluo took the Mojito but didn't drink it. She simply got up, placed the Mojito on the small table, and personally directed the filming of the scene.

About an hour later, the scene was finally filmed smoothly.

All the actors and crew members raised a Mojito to celebrate the successful completion of filming in Dubai.

The laughter and joy at this moment made them forget all the hardships of the past few days.

Ning Qiluo was having a great time chatting with everyone when her assistant called out to her, "Director Ning, your husband is here."

The voice, neither too loud nor too soft, announced that her husband was here, and everyone quieted down.

Ning Qiluo didn't think there was anything to joke about, because Jiang Yingchi could come to her filming set at any time, no matter where she went. She told everyone to have fun, and then, amidst the cheers, she grabbed another Mojito and walked in another direction.

In the desert, there is more sandstorm at night than during the day.

However, this scene was filmed on the edge of the desert.

The night breeze ruffled her hair and brushed against her cheeks. She walked quickly, almost losing her grip on the martini cup.

“You always surprise me. If you had told me beforehand, I would have been prepared.” She held the Mojito up to Jiang Yingchi.

He took it, his voice unusually deep and resonant in the desert night wind: "Surprises are always carefully prepared."

Then, he lowered his head and kissed me.

A kiss of longing, tinged with tenderness.

Ning Qiluo was very engrossed. In fact, every time she unexpectedly heard someone say, "Your husband is here," she would feel a strong sense of happiness and belonging.

It was as if no matter where she drifted, she would never take root, because wherever Jiang Yingchi was, that was her root. She and he were connected, and their feelings had remained the same throughout their years of marriage.

The aroma of the wine on her breath was irresistible to him, making him forget about the poor little one.

Until Ning Qiluo felt something soft and fluffy hug her leg, she quickly pulled away from Jiang Yingchi's embrace and looked down.

What came into view was that curly hair, though it was a bit messy from the desert wind.

Then, Ning Qiluo saw the little dumpling clinging to her leg slowly raise its head and look at her with pitiful eyes, saying, "Mommy, do you love me or not? I'm here, but you haven't seen me. Daddy said that when you're sure about something, you have to stand firm. So I have plenty of reason to doubt that Mommy loves me."

Ning Qiluo: "..."

For a moment, she thought she was seeing things.

The person clinging to her leg at that moment was her son.

Then, she heard the little one say in a childish, nasal voice, "Mommy, there's such a big baby here, can't you see the baby?"

He was gesturing as he spoke, and he was very serious.
