Jiang Yingchi raised an eyebrow: "What?"
Ning Qiluo said, "I forgot to add sugar to my water, so your smile will make it sweet."
I thought he would smile in response, but he didn't; however, he did smile back.
He strode back, his long legs carrying him, and leaned down to place a feather-light kiss on her lips. His voice, as melodious as a cello, resonated in her ear: "Sweet, isn't it?"
Ning Qiluo's eyes curved into crescents: "It's sweet, especially sweet."
As soon as he finished speaking, Jiang Yingchi kissed her again, this time a deeper kiss than the previous one. After the kiss, he stood up and left the ward with lightning speed.
He was restraining himself.
However, Ning Qiluo didn't understand and always felt that he was just making excuses for her in his busy schedule.
"Hmph, he's already starting to dabble in things, what about the wedding!" Ning Qiluo said angrily, resting her chin on her hand and watching his departing figure.
After finishing her meal, Ning Qiluo took a nap.
When she woke up, Jones and Edith were in her room. Jiang Yingchi, her brother, and her father had all come by, but they didn't disturb her while she was sleeping.
"Where is Daddy now?" Ning Qiluo asked.
Jones replied, "Brother Qi is talking to Mr. Jiang."
Where should we talk?
"Miss Ning, are you going over now?"
"Mm." Ning Qiluo nodded and got out of bed, putting on her slippers.
Edith said, "I'll let Mr. Qi and Mr. Jiang know first."
"good."
Ning Qiluo was exceptionally obedient; she did whatever they said.
While Edith was giving her her report, Ning Qiluo was already standing at the door of the ward. Jones was getting Ning Qiluo her medication, the anti-inflammatory drugs she had been taking for the past two days. Ning Qiluo leaned against the door, with bodyguards standing on either side of her.
She knew this was to protect her personal safety.
Two nurses pushed a cart over to change the sheets Ning Qiluo had slept on over the past two days. They had to undergo a strict check before entering. Ning Qiluo watched listlessly, and in the end, only one nurse could come in, while the other waited outside.
The nurse who pushed the cart in passed by Ning Qiluo, and Ning Qiluo smelled a faint fragrance.
She couldn't describe the scent, but she thought it smelled quite nice.
When Jones saw the nurse pushing the cart in, he immediately went up to her and asked, "What are you doing?"
The nurse, wearing a mask, politely replied, "Changing the sheets."
Jones gestured for her to leave: "Thank you, but it's not necessary here. We'll change Miss Ning's sheets and blankets."
The nurse didn't ask any further questions and nodded, "Okay."
When the nurse returned, Jones placed the medicine beside the bed. Suddenly, his vision blurred, and he almost lost his balance. After regaining his composure, Edith finished her report and said, "Mr. Jiang and Mr. Qi will be back soon. Please tell Miss Ning to stay in the ward without worry."
Jones shifted his gaze and looked towards the doorway.
The person who was just leaning against the door is now gone.
"Miss Ning!!"
Jones panicked and rushed forward.
The bodyguards at the door had also come to their senses and were looking at each other, wondering what had happened in that short period of time.
"Miss Ning is missing! Quickly notify Mr. Jiang! Notify Old Qi! Hurry!"
"Hello, Mr. Jiang, Miss Ning is missing, yes, she's gone..."
It was destined to be a day of unrest.
After the nurse came in, Ning Qiluo vanished into thin air without making a sound.
That's absurd.
