I quickly heated it up in the microwave.
Ning Qiluo had eaten some of the pan-fried sole while she was in the kitchen, and Jiang Yingchi pointed to the piece she was eating and picked it up to eat.
He ate very attentively.
Ning Qiluo found the food delicious and her appetite was whetted.
"You said you weren't hungry, but you're eating so heartily." Ning Qiluo rested her chin on her hands, elbows on the table, and watched him eat.
Jiang Yingchi picked up a piece of steamed shad, carefully removed the bones, and fed it to her: "Try it, it tastes very good."
Those were the chopsticks he had used.
Ning Qiluo wasn't disgusted; the two of them had kissed many times already.
He stared at her for a while, and was about to open his mouth when Jiang Yingchi withdrew his hand.
Ning Qiluo: "..."
“You’re kidding me,” she said, puffing out her cheeks.
Jiang Yingchi didn't tease her, but seeing her puff out her cheeks in anger, she tacitly agreed that she was teasing her, "I couldn't resist eating it first."
He replaced her untouched chopsticks with his own, picked up a piece of fish, removed the bones, and fed it to her: "I won't tease you this time."
Ning Qiluo was skeptical.
He then raised his hand and grabbed Jiang Yingchi's wrist, not giving him a chance to pull his hand back, and bit into the piece of fish.
He chewed it for a moment and said, "It seems to be even more flavorful after being heated."
Jiang Yingchi raised an eyebrow, indicating her agreement.
Ning Qiluo was already full, so she only ate a few bites of fish and then stopped eating. She rested her chin on her hand and watched him eat.
In the end, Jiang Yingchi actually participated in the "Clean Plate Campaign".
We finished all the steamed shad, pan-fried sole, and borscht.
Ning Qiluo once again witnessed why there is such a thing as only believing half of what a man says.
"You said you weren't hungry, but you ate it all."
On the dining table was a plate with only fish bones left.
There was only a little bit of soup residue in the stew pot.
Jiang Yingchi picked up a napkin, wiped it elegantly, put it down, and said, "It tasted so good that I couldn't help but finish it."
Ning Qiluo loved hearing this: "Then I'll make it for you again next time. I'm a quick learner. Whatever you want to eat, I'll make it just like that, and I'll do it very well."
She was fickle; her successful cooking tonight made her a little complacent, and she kept thinking about cooking for him again.
There was one sentence she uttered very naturally.
She said, "I want to cook lots and lots of dishes, and I want to cook for you."
Jiang Yingchi paused as she was about to get up, glancing sideways at Ning Qiluo.
Seeing her smiling radiantly, her face filled with longing.
He slowly stood up, looking down at him, and said two words: "No need."
Ning Qiluo was in the midst of her radiant moment when a bucket of cold water was suddenly poured over her head.
She didn't understand why Jiang Yingchi refused: "Didn't you say it tasted good?"
I'm suddenly feeling a bit discouraged.
But then Jiang Yingchi said, "I don't need you to cook for me, never."
The blow was even greater!
This statement clearly implies a rejection of her culinary skills.
She slowly stood up and replied dejectedly, "Oh, okay."
As she was leaving her seat, Jiang Yingchi grabbed her wrist. Ning Qiluo glanced down at him, then looked up at him again.
He parted his lips and whispered to her, "It's me. I should be the one cooking for you, not you doing it for me. I don't need you to do that."
Ning Qiluo was stunned.
Is that what you mean?
So that's what Jiang Yingchi meant when he said "no need"?
Ning Qiluo was about to say something: "I don't..."
