Fanfiction 10: Dream of Beijing - Chu Ming Huai Li

The emperor loved Yue Fei as if he were his own brother, so why would he kill him? The emperor preferred death to peace in Baima Shaoxing, so why would he surrender to the Jin people? The emperor conquered the north and defeated the Jin people, so why would he lose everything in Jiangbei and live in a corner?

Or, if the emperor had not come, if he was still the emperor who did not forget to look for the laundry lady while fleeing, or the emperor who was drunk and dreaming and only wanted to reach Yangzhou safely, would the Song Dynasty be just as these students said, with its backbone broken and unable to recover, its good generals without a place to use their talents, its loyal ministers exposed, and it slowly went to destruction?

He suddenly realized something. Their race, language, and writing system were similar, their history was the same, and they all believed they were from China...

"Is it really like this..." Yang Yizhong muttered, almost crying. God has not abandoned our Song Dynasty, they are so lucky to have an official!

Yang Yizhong silently recited those words, Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing, Republic of China, and Republic of China. He pieced together an answer based on some fragments of information displayed in the exhibits, the elementary school history class under the monument, the Yuyuantan, the Lotus Pond, and even a place name "Jinzhongdu Road".

So that's it. This is where the official family lives, and this is a thousand years later.

No wonder I came here. He was relieved. Although the world is different, Yanjing a thousand years later is still the Chinese world, and it is still so magnificent and prosperous. It turns out that the official family comes from such a country, such a world, no wonder, no wonder.

He slowly opened his eyes, feeling refreshed after a good night's sleep. "Did Zhengfu sleep well last night?" Zhao Jiu had obviously drunk too much last night, and was still a little sluggish. He was a little surprised to see him come in full of energy.

"Let the emperor know that I had a good dream last night." Yang Yi Zhong cupped his hands.

"What did you dream about?" Zhao Jiu asked casually.

"I dreamed of traveling with the emperor to Beijing." He paused, then added casually, "Beijing is a prosperous and magnificent city, and its people are rich and healthy, just like a fairyland."

Zhao Jiu was stunned there. After a moment, he smiled and said, "Really? I had a dream too."

"What did the emperor dream about?" Zhao Jiu looked at him without saying anything. The emperor and his minister looked at each other for a long time, and then they both slowly began to laugh.

Amaranthus

Traveling in Beijing at night, I have learned a little bit about the relationship between the emperor and his subjects. Looking at the red flags flying on the city wall, the blue sky is like a painting. Ten years of sharpening the sword and testing the frost blade, thinking about the vicissitudes of China over the past thousand years. The little boy listens to the old stories in front of the monument and holds a white flower.

The matter here is over, Huanglong; the storm over there is over. Among the emperors and generals, who has committed the greatest crime? The people went north with blood all over their collars, and the rivers flowed east with endless tears. Later people wrote down the dream and recorded the gossip.

Note 1: These are all the names of the palaces in Jin Zhongdu in this plane. In Shao Song plane, the fourth prince completed the capital relocation earlier. In this plane, King Hailing of Jin, Wanyan Liang, moved the capital to Yanjing and established Zhongdu in 1151, and Emperor Xizong of Jin, Wanyan Tan, established Wanning Palace in 1140. Shao Song plane broke through Taiyuan on the 29th day of the twelfth lunar month in the ninth year of Jianyan (1135), and entered Yanjing the following year. But when the fourth prince moved the capital to Yanjing, the palaces in Jin Zhongdu should have been built and borrowed for use. It would take more than three to five years to build the Forbidden City.

Note 2: The ruins of Jinzhongdu are located in Fengtai District today, not far from the Lotus Pond and Yuyuantan Lake. The Lotus River already existed in the Jin Dynasty, and Yuyuantan Lake was also a famous scenic spot in the Jin Dynasty.

Note 3: The time of the flag-raising ceremony at Tiananmen Square varies according to the season, but the earliest opening time for the Forbidden City is 8:30, and the National Museum is 9:00, with a gap in between. I wanted to write about the National Museum, which has a complete exhibition on the history of the Song Dynasty. However, except for the "Hibiscus and Peacock" which is stored in the Forbidden City, the other representative works of Song Huizong are either in the National Palace Museum in Taipei or abroad, so I decided to write about visiting the Forbidden City.
