First of all, I will give a routine report on the results... This book is now very close to an average of 30,000. It can reach that level later, but there is no need... Moreover, since it was put on the shelves, the growth curve has been very smooth, with an average increase of 800 to 1,000 subscriptions basically every month, including this last half volume.
In addition, there is one gold alliance and seven silver alliances. As of the time of writing this, which is two minutes after the last chapter was posted, including the Red Crow who just gave a reward, there are a total of 230 alliance leaders... I won’t post the specific list, it’s too exaggerated...
When writing The Best Actor five years ago, who could have imagined that there would be a three-page leader?
By comparison, the VIP chapters of "Fu Han" have nearly 600,000 more words, and the average subscription for the completed book is less than 14,000. I felt very satisfied at the time... Of course, it has now been driven up by "Shao Song" to 22,000.
In short, I can say that the results are beyond my expectations.
To all the genuine book lovers, I have only two words to say: gratitude.
Let’s talk about the book “Shao Song”… This book should actually be read in two parts. It lowers the standards. It’s a time-travel historical novel on the Internet. What’s there to think about? If it’s just to make a living, then naturally everything should be honest. If you take it too seriously, you lose.
But if we really look at it from another perspective, there are definitely many shortcomings.
The first was that I was in a rush. Before I started writing the book, I really had no idea what subject matter to write. I was just chatting with an author friend and just made up something at random. I didn’t have any drafts or anything. When I wrote the first chapter, I had just looked up which route Bozhou belonged to in the Song Dynasty… I only knew Han Shizhong, Yue Fei, and Wu Jie, and I knew Wuzhu and Qin Hui. Most of my impressions of them came from “The Complete Biography of Yue Fei” when I was in the third grade of elementary school… That little Huang read a hundred foreign and a hundred domestic famous books… I didn’t even know who Lü Haowen, Zhao Ding, and Zhang Jun were when I started writing.
I read "History of the Song Dynasty" and "Continued Comprehensive Mirror" while buying some popular science books and biographies. When I encountered related detailed questions, I would go to Zhiwang to read papers, and then conceive the plot according to Tan Tu's illustrations... basically I was making money on the spot.
The second is to abandon fancy moves...What are fancy moves?
For example, the New and Old Yanshu in "Fu Han", and the title poem in "Fu Han".
Without any fancy moves, one has to write the story and characters seriously, and one has to try out long war scenes... These things cannot be said to be superior or inferior, but there is no doubt that the writing method of "Shao Song" is more tiring and more energy-consuming. By the time the book was halfway through, I basically couldn't hold on any longer.
I couldn't hold on any longer...it was a double torture, both physically and mentally.
This leads to the third problem, which is that the updates suddenly slowed down in all aspects - it was visible to the naked eye that the update level, which was less than 150,000 words per month, quickly fell to 120,000, and finally to 100,000 words per month.
What can I say about the poor online article updates? No one has criticized it on a large scale, it has just been suppressed by the spiral of silence.
Then came the fourth one, which started to become dry and empty after the middle of the plot, and some of the previously ambitious characters and plots finally lost their courage.
To put it bluntly, I didn't know what to write in the early stage, so I wrote whatever I could get. In the middle and late stages, I had ideas, but I was a little helpless... It was like the feeling of not understanding the meaning of the song when I first heard it, but I was already the person in the song when I listened to it again... Of course, this is from a creative perspective.
But I still say that, today, these can only be talked about, what is more important is to celebrate the completion of the book... Zhao Jiu used the axe to celebrate his ten years of achievement, and I also want to celebrate the completion of my own book.
The more difficult it is, the more you have to grit your teeth and finish the book as planned. At this time, finishing the book is truly a victory.
After many difficulties and dangers, this book is finished.
As for the plot... I know what everyone is thinking, how to recuperate, how to repair the Yellow River, curb annexation, how to reform the system, how to further stimulate the vitality of maritime trade, how to make the northern border a part of the country, how to take advantage of the civil strife in Western Liao in Zhao Jiu's later years to launch an expedition similar to the Mongol Westward Expedition... Honestly, I have the plot and pictures in my mind.
I even thought that the white-haired Zhao Jiu should have died on the way to the Western Expedition.
However, just like the previous book was called "Fu Han", so the book should be completed after the Han was destroyed and the Yan was established... This book is called "Shao Song", and Shao means to lead and guide, and the original intention is to reverse the direction of the country and let the Chinese nation wade out of the quagmire of the Song-Jin War, so when the Song-Jin War is over, this book should be officially completed.
You can't chew too much.
If I continue writing, whether I can sustain myself is one thing, but it will also cause structural damage to the book.
