Chapter Twenty-Seven: Clues

Eating skewers was not something Tu Xiaohei had anticipated.

Ultimately, it's because Tu Xiaohei hasn't fully adapted to the difference between his and Tu Xiaohei's identities.

He is no longer as poor as he used to be.

"How's it going? Newcomer?"

Rabbit Suo Mifen raised an eyebrow, then, without any ladylike manners, grabbed a meat skewer and, with a forceful bite, devoured all the meat on it.

Clearly, compared to Tu Xiaohei, this guy is a seasoned veteran.

"Boss, some more lamb kidneys, please!"

After finishing the meat skewers in his hand, Rabbit slurped up rice noodles and waved goodbye.

If it weren't for her feminine voice and womanly appearance, no one would believe she was a greasy middle-aged man.

"Hmm...it tastes good."

Tu Xiaohei didn't give a discouraging reply, but simply responded softly.

Then I savored the taste of the meat skewers.

It must be said that the fact that this kind of barbecue stall can survive must mean that it has its own advantages.

It's cheap, and the meat tastes great, regardless of whether it's clean or not.

It's definitely enjoyable.

However, Tu Xiaohei was ultimately too reserved.

The rabbit's rice noodle stall already had a huge pile of bamboo skewers, while Tu Xiaohei only had a few.

Rabbit slurping rice noodles glanced at Tu Xiaohei but didn't answer.

The place where the two of them were having barbecue skewers wasn't one of those places that were privately owned.

It's a small outdoor space.

Besides Tu Xiaohei and Rabbit Suo Mifen, many other young people were also enjoying skewers with their friends.

"The Crow People? You saw them?"

Tu Xiaohei narrowed his eyes, almost imperceptibly searching for the voice he had just heard.

"Of course, don't you believe me? I really saw it."

They were two young men in school uniforms.

Judging from their age, they were probably high school students, and they were having a normal conversation at the moment.

It wasn't really about anything private, so the voice was a bit loud.

"The Crow People...?"

Tu Xiaohei continued to savor the aroma of the meat skewers while carefully listening to the conversation between the two young men.

Tu Xiaohei did not know the names of the two young men.

The young man who said he had met the crow people, let's call him A, and the other one, let's call him I.

A coughed slightly and then took his phone out of his pocket.

Then it seemed like something was opened.

He glanced at it, and his expression instantly changed from nonchalant to darkening.

"Holy crap, where did you Photoshop that from?"

After looking around and seeing that everyone else was enjoying their skewers normally, I finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Seeing Jia's panicked state, he chuckled.

"You know what, this crow-man may be a bit ugly, but the shrinking gun he's got is really awesome. He took someone away in one go."

After saying that, A shook his head.

"It's a pity I've never actually seen it; this photo was posted by a netizen."

Clearly, A is still very interested in the aliens who have suddenly appeared.

But it's different now.

Her eye twitched slightly.

He simply couldn't understand why his dim-witted friend would be so interested in monsters.

However, this has nothing to do with him.

He won't get involved in this mess.

"Hey guys, what are you talking about? I think I heard something about crow people and aliens."

Just as A and B were chatting, a woman with a slight smell of alcohol suddenly appeared beside them.

To be honest, this woman may not be particularly beautiful.

But it has a strange attraction.

At least for the two of them, it was inexplicably attractive.

"As expected of a senior, he is very reliable when it comes to crucial matters."

Tu Xiaohei, who was drinking his sugary soda nearby, couldn't help but nod.

Just now, Tu Xiaohei was planning to inquire about it himself.

However, before Tu Xiaohei could even get off the bench, Rabbit Suomifen suddenly stood up.

He pretended to be drunk and walked towards the two young men.

According to Tu Xiaohei's observation.

These two naive young men have probably already fallen for it.

"Women are like tigers..."

For some reason, a proverb popped into Tu Xiaohei's head.

"They're gone."

After Tu Xiaohei finished eating the last skewer of meat and drinking the last sip of his sugary soda...

He saw the rabbit slurping rice noodles with a calm expression and the two drunk young men.

"knew."

Tu Xiaohei nodded, put the bamboo skewers away, and then picked up the longsword that the rabbit had given him before he ate rice noodles.

The money for this barbecue meal was paid by my senior; it had nothing to do with me.

The rabbit, slurping rice noodles, looked at Tu Xiaohei and suddenly chuckled.

The eeriness of his smile almost sent a chill down Tu Xiaohei's spine.

"What's wrong, senior?"

Tu Xiaohei gripped the longsword tightly.

Although he has never practiced using this, the damage he inflicts might be about the same as a fire poker.

The rabbit slurping rice noodles seemed to be waiting for Tu Xiaohei's question.

A smirk crept across her face as she said in a lewd tone, "Hehehe... I've discovered that teaming up with you is fucking lucky."

"It's not an urban legend, but a real event."
