Chapter 16 Darkness
When things were halfway through, Shen Yuehuai clearly felt the person in his arms shaking. He paused for a moment. After a few seconds, he asked slowly, "Your reaction was not like this that day."
His low and slow voice in the room sounded like someone's dream talk. Amidst the white noise, the words seemed like auditory hallucinations, quiet and unreal.

After he finished speaking, he thought for a moment and then added, "No need to wait for her for breakfast. Wait until she wakes up and bring it in."
The servant replied, "Okay."
Shen Yuehuai said nothing more and strode away from the servants.
The servant standing at the door naturally closed the door gently.
After Shen Yuehuai walked downstairs, Old Madam Shen was waiting in the hall downstairs. She asked, "Is this room a cave?"
Shen Yuehuai looked at his old mother with a serious look and did not speak for a while.
Then Madam Shen continued, "I thought my daughter-in-law would be a dignified, sensible, and beautiful girl from a noble family, but who knew she was an orphan I found? I really can't accept it.
