Chapter 5 Once Upon a Time
Shen Sangsang heard a few low voices while half asleep and half awake.
"I heard that Madam Shen was hospitalized this morning. Is this true?"
"Of course it's true. He was sent to the hospital at seven in the morning, and Mr. Shen hasn't returned yet."
"Alas, even we can't accept this, let alone a family as noble and prominent as the Shen family. She is so young, and I didn't expect her to be so scheming. There was a noise outside the study door, and he glanced at the door.

“Uncle Shen.”
The person was wearing a snow-white long dress, revealing her white arms, with long black hair falling on her shoulders. She stood at the door like a blooming lily, pure and beautiful.
"Why are you here?"
Shen Yuehuai leaned back in the leather chair, but didn't look at her anymore, his eyes fixed on the computer in front of him.
The lights in the study were dim, and the figures of both people seemed blurry.
In this huge study, Shen Yuehuai's voice sounded cold and distant to Shen Sangsang's ears.
Shen Sangsang, who was standing at the door, asked, "Is your hand... okay?"
Seeing that he didn't respond, she continued, "I heard that grandma was in the hospital?"
In the past, she called Old Madam Shen "Grandma". Her status was different from that of other servants in the Shen family. Because Old Madam Shen loved her very much, she lived and worked in the Shen family as Old Madam Shen's half-granddaughter.
What happened just two months ago caused a drastic change in everything.
Shen Yuehuai was processing some pending files on the computer. Although he seemed not to be looking at her, he actually had a slight glance at her from the corner of his eyes.
"As long as you try not to appear in front of her during this period, it will be enough."
He thought for a moment and added, "The old man can't accept our situation yet."

She apologized again.
Shen Yuehuai raised his eyebrows in front of the computer, and finally his eyes were all on her face.
Perhaps she had just recovered from a serious illness, and under the light, her cheeks were slightly flushed.

Shen Yuehuai didn't care about the injury on his hand, but started talking about something else: "In the past few years, I have been handling some things abroad and have neglected to care about you. It is better to forget about some unpleasant things in the past."

Shen Sangsang's hand hanging by her side trembled slightly twice. Of course, the movement was very light and almost unnoticed by anyone.
The next second, Shen Yuehuai put a bottle of sleeping pills on the table.
