Chapter 188 Relocation of Positions

Chapter 188 Relocation of Positions

As soon as Su Yingxue handed the first braised meat roll to the students in line, she picked up her phone and sent a message to her fan group: "The new braised meat roll is now available! The first 50 customers to come to the store, remember to mention your group nickname to receive a free plum juice~ Share a photo of your roll and we'll randomly select 3 people to receive a free double-flavor roujiamo (Chinese hamburger) coupon!"

The moment the message was sent, the group chat buzzed with excitement. Mu Yu immediately posted a photo of the burrito he was holding, captioning it: "The first bite was amazing! The runny yolk of the braised egg is incredible, and the sweet and spicy sauce is so addictive!" He also added a drooling emoji.

Immediately afterwards, various "buyer reviews" appeared in the group, with some people breaking open the wraps to show off the generous fillings inside;

One person captioned the post, "It's even more addictive than roujiamo (Chinese hamburger); I've already bought a second one."

Someone even tagged their friend: "Hurry up! There won't be any plum juice left if you're late!"

While making the wraps, Su Yingxue checked the group messages in between, and saw that some students asked, "Can I add chili?" and "Can I add more braised eggs?"

She immediately replied: "You can specify if you want it spicy or with a braised egg. Adding a braised egg is only 1 yuan extra!"

This response made the group more active, and many people added personalized requests to their orders.

Around noon, all 50 servings of plum juice had been delivered, and Su Yingxue posted another perk in the group chat: "Thank you all for your support! Today, all group members who come to the store will receive a 2 yuan discount on their wraps!"

As soon as the news came out, the queue, which was already almost over, grew even longer.

Someone joked in the group chat, "The boss spoils his fans so much! I'm a die-hard fan now!"

Su Yingxue watched the interactions in the group chat with a smile on her face, and her hands moved faster and faster—this screen full of enthusiasm gave her more motivation than any reward.

In no time, the rolled pancakes and roujiamo (Chinese hamburger) were sold out.

Several customers who couldn't buy any looked disappointed. Seeing this, Su Yingxue smiled and served them a few cups of plum juice as a token of her appreciation.

One of the long-haired girls stared at her empty shelves, her eyes gleaming with pleading, and repeatedly begged, "Is there really nothing left? Do you have any stock at home? Why don't you go back and get it? I'll wait for you here!"

Su Yingxue was amused and didn't know whether to laugh or cry. She tapped the edge of the stall lightly with her fingertips: "We're really out—how about this, next time if you come earlier, I'll give you an extra braised egg."

The long-haired girl nodded emphatically, her ponytail swaying like a small fan: "Boss, remember this! I'll be here before dawn to reserve a spot!"

After Su Yingxue finished collecting the last stack of lunch boxes, she realized that the surrounding stalls had already been cleared away. She bent down to pick up the cloth bag containing change, and was about to leave when suddenly a figure blocked her way—it was Aunt Huang, who had been at the front of the line to buy a wrap.

At this moment, the middle-aged woman's face was taut and her eyes were like ice shards. Her words were sharp and hostile: "Little brat, business is booming, huh? I won't make things difficult for you, but you've broken our rules for setting up a stall—either move to another location, or get out of here right now!"

"Change stalls?" Su Yingxue was stunned for a moment, then remembered that the first person in line to buy a wrap was this old lady. So she was deliberately trying to scare her because she saw that her business was good.

Just as she was about to argue, a system notification suddenly sounded in her mind: "The Qingda mission progress is full. The host needs to set up a stall at Yuda tomorrow."

Su Yingxue's eyes darted around, then she immediately lowered her gaze, her shoulders hunching slightly as she feigned a timid demeanor: "Okay, okay, I'll leave right away, please don't hit me..."

Although there were only a few people around at this time, there were still a few passersby watching from a distance.

Aunt Huang thought the girl would argue back, but seeing her as soft as cotton, she was stunned for a moment—she was still clenching her fists, ready to get rough, but she didn't expect the other party to be so agreeable.

Su Yingxue was about to leave after tidying up when she saw that Aunt Huang was still standing there, her brows furrowed as if she was plotting something.

Su Yingxue muttered, "What? You're not happy about leaving? I'll take a couple of days off too."

"Don't try anything funny, you little brat!" Aunt Huang said harshly, then stormed off, swinging her apron.

Su Yingxue turned around, took out her phone, and sent a message to the customer group: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are temporarily closed. Return date is uncertain."

The moment the message was sent, the group chat exploded like fireworks—

"Sister, don't go! I still miss your roujiamo (Chinese hamburger)!"

"Don't go, honey! I could have shown off three of those burritos last time!"

The messages are scrolling by incredibly fast.

The situation quickly changed, and the two sides started arguing amongst themselves.

The affirmative side proudly waved the banner of "Roujiamo yyds" (a type of Chinese sandwich).

The opposing side held up signs that read, "Brappers are the true home of carb happiness."

Even a "logic genius" jumped out to cite classical texts, and the debate became heated.

Su Yingxue chuckled as she looked at her phone screen; the earnestness of these regular customers was truly endearing. However, after kneading dough, preparing fillings, and making fresh roujiamo (Chinese hamburger) rolls for several days in a row, she was genuinely feeling quite tired.

A cold wind swept fallen leaves across the street corner, and as she looked at the gray sky, an idea suddenly struck her—why not try cooking some warm food in advance? Slow-cooked radish and beef brisket in a clay pot, or bubbling mushroom and chicken soup, might be even more comforting than freshly made food on this chilly day.

Su Yingxue became more and more excited as she thought about it, and that very night she busied herself in the rented small kitchen.

She first went to the market and picked out several pounds of fresh beef brisket, with a good balance of fat and lean meat and clear marbling. The vendor even kindly cut it into cubes for her. She also bought white radish, ginger slices, star anise, cinnamon, bay leaves, and even a small handful of dried chili peppers for added aroma. Back in the kitchen, she first soaked the beef brisket in cold water for half an hour to remove the blood, then blanched it to skim off the foam, and drained it. She heated a little oil in a pot, sautéed the ginger slices and spices until fragrant, then added the beef brisket and stir-fried until the surface was slightly browned. The aroma immediately filled the entire house.

Next comes the slow cooking process. She put the stir-fried beef brisket into a clay pot, added enough hot water to cover the ingredients, threw in the white radish cut into chunks, and seasoned it with light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, a little rock sugar and salt. After bringing it to a boil over high heat, she turned it down to low heat.

Cover the pot, and the bubbling sound is like a soothing nocturne. The broth gradually turns from clear to thick, and the fat from the beef brisket blends with the sweetness of the radish. The air is filled with a warm aroma that makes your mouth water.

After stewing for about an hour and a half, the beef brisket is tender but not mushy, and can be easily separated with a gentle poke of chopsticks. The radish absorbs the broth, becoming crystal clear and melts in your mouth.

Su Yingxue ladled out a small bowl to taste. Her tongue first tasted the rich aroma of the beef brisket, followed by the sweet aftertaste of the radish. The broth was thick with a slight spiciness, and the warmth spread from her stomach to her limbs.

She smiled with satisfaction—this flavor, served out in the cold wind, would surely capture the hearts of students and passersby.

The taste is not bad, but it needs to be simmered slowly. Su Yingxue prepared the ingredients and the pot.

I steamed some fragrant rice and steamed buns at home in advance to serve as my main meal. I also had some leftover pancakes from last time to eat with them.

Add whatever the customers like to eat. Once everything is ready, start preparing to set up your stall.
