Chapter 27 Your House is So Big “I must remind you, there is more…
"I must remind you, there are more important matters to attend to. I'll take care of the luggage," Ah Fu walked over and faced Tim. "Your classmates want to see you."
"When?" Tim got up from the ground. He hadn't looked at his phone yet.
"About ten minutes ago."
Tim jumped up the stairs, holding on to the banister. His cell phone was in the study upstairs.
After he left, Alfred nodded to Bruce and said, "Open it."
Alfred saw Bruce's subtle resistance at a glance, so he sent Tim away.
"I brought back someone..." Bruce opened the suitcase. He didn't want to bring her back like this, but she really didn't cooperate. She just lay down when he told her to and couldn't be woken up no matter what he did.
There was a child in an old black box. Her long white hair was scattered in the box and her face was as delicate as a doll. She curled up quietly in this small space.
Looking at the little girl in the box, Ah Fu was silent. He was a little confused. "Should I prepare a room?"
"And..." "No need." Liu Shu interrupted Bruce, she was still struggling.
Ah Fu walked away silently. He was surprised at first, but the same thing had happened several times before, and he was familiar with the subsequent process.
"Want to go shopping?" Bruce squatted down and helped the person sitting in the box up. "How do you live in Gotham?"
"I'm fine," so could he let her go? Liu Shu walked out, "See you next time."
"Tell me about 'Rov' first." Bruce stopped her. Now that she was here, how could he let her get away so easily?
"Not in this universe." Liu Shu put one hand on his waist and turned to look at Tim who was going downstairs.
"Hello." Tim was typing with his head down, but when he noticed a stranger coming, he quickly put away what he was holding and greeted the stranger very naturally.
“…”Are you really not afraid of falling while walking down the stairs while looking at your phone?
The situation seemed a little awkward due to Liu Shu's silence, but they didn't care about it at all.
"Bruce..." Tim wanted to say something, but because of the presence of outsiders, he just shouted.
"I see, it's a memory problem." Bruce nodded and turned Liu Shu around.
"This is Tim," he then introduced Tim, "Wu."
It was awkward, and besides, it wasn't her real name, so she might as well just keep calling her 'Grace'. She was almost used to it.
"Let me take you to your room." Alfu came over. He had already prepared everything. If Bruce brought the adopted child home next time, he might clean up faster.
Liu Shu didn't remember settling here, and she tried to find some guilt on Bruce's face.
"What room? No." Liu Shu refused. She stood on tiptoe to take Tim's phone. He took a picture, right?
Rude guy.
"Where are you from? How old are you?" Tim bent over, and seemed to feel uncomfortable like this, so he squatted down again.
Although Yanou would never grow taller, his behavior made Liushu turn his head away in disgust.
"Would you like to watch TV? Sit down first." He moved closer to where Liu Shu turned her head, making sure she could hear what he said.
"..." After deleting the photos silently, Liu Shu walked towards the sofa. She wanted to see what these two people were going to do.
"Can you show me what you got?" Bruce didn't sit down with her. He put his coat on the armrest beside him and asked her while standing next to Liu Shu.
Liu Shu nodded, and she placed a can of black cubes she brought out from the white door in front of Bruce.
"Here, don't thank me, I just happened to see the name you mentioned." She leaned back on the sofa and swung her dangling feet. After realizing her actions, Liu Shu looked at the cat and mouse game that Tim had played for her with a little despair.
What did she just say? Sometimes she just says things without thinking, with a typical tsundere tone.
Tim felt that Bruce's trip was a bit strange. Why would he bring home this mysterious little girl who had been elusive before? And what was the black cube in the jar?
He needed to ask Bruce alone.
"Why did you agree to be packed in a suitcase?" This was a bit strange and did not fit his initial analysis of her personality, Tim observed secretly.
"None of your business."
Tim couldn't continue laughing because his phone was still in her hand.
"Can you give it back to me? My phone."
Liu Shu raised his head proudly and threw the thing into his arms.
"Thank you." Tim didn't know why he said thank you. He felt that he couldn't communicate well with this child.
He walked in the direction Bruce had left.
"Why are you following me?" Tim wanted to go to the Batcave to find Bruce to ask about the situation. This was obviously not something Liu Shu should read.
"Didn't you follow me too, Robin?" Even though he stopped, Liu Shu continued to move forward.
"What?" Tim was a little scared. He chased after him, "You..."
He saw the most incomprehensible scene.
Liu Shu was trying to get on the elevator to the Batcave.
"Stop, stop, stop. That's not how you drive." Tim grabbed her hand.
Liu Shu certainly knew that she couldn't do it this way, but she really couldn't decipher it in a short time, so she might as well let Tim help her.
"How did you know it was here?"
Tim wouldn't help her. He pressed a few buttons and the place returned to its original appearance, with a wall with paintings hanging on it.
Although it wasn't difficult to find the elevator, Liu Shu felt that this person's behavior was a bit provocative.
She opened the mechanism that concealed the elevator again.
Tim closed it again for her.
"I was wrong to think that people won't be able to play with switches when they grow up, don't you think?" Alfu came quickly. Bruce asked him to come here to stop the two people who were operating the mechanism. The signal lights below kept flashing.
"Sorry, Alfu." Tim was the first to admit his mistake. Given his good attitude and the reasonableness of the matter, he was acquitted.
"Open the door quickly." Liu Shu knocked on the elevator door. She actually knew that this was not a good thing, but she hoped that because of these things, they would not be obsessed with keeping her in the manor.
She didn't want anyone following her around Gotham in the future.
Alfu helped her open the elevator, and he didn't think anything of it, but Tim was obviously not happy.
I'm sorry, Liu Shu turned his head away and didn't look at him.
The space inside the elevator was not small, and Tim observed through the reflective wall.
"How about we go back and watch Tom and Jerry?" He still didn't give up.
"You're so noisy."
Liu Shu walked into the bat cave. She looked around and was a little surprised by the layout here.
The phone rang, not from the Batcave, but from her house.
"Winnie? What's wrong?" She sat on the sofa with her eyes closed, so that she could control her two bodies without expending too much energy.
"Is Baimen's illegal experiment related to memory?"
"Well, did you find out?" Liu Shu felt that the person opposite him seemed quite calm.
"Although Tina doesn't remember anything, her physical symptoms still exist, such as headaches and chest tightness, which require long-term treatment."
"Do you think it's better to lose your memory or remember it?" Batman seems to be trying hard to restore his memory through some scientific means.
"Now that I've forgotten..." She paused for a moment, "Is this also a kind of luck?"
"I understand." Secretary Liu paused at her choice.
"Thank you. I'm glad you found a detective to help me. I was able to meet Sherlock Holmes. I heard about him when I first arrived in England. Later, I read his case analysis. He is amazing."
"Actually, I didn't..." Instead of looking for Holmes, Liu Shu was looking for Matchstick Malone.
Matchstick Malone, why don’t you say something?
"I don't live here." Liu Shu stood in front of Bruce. Some things are better said face to face.
"Why? I won't do anything to you." Bruce felt that he got along pretty well with this kid.
"I refused. Do you need to ask why?" She glanced at the cubes in the jar and quickly looked away. Everyone could hear the seriousness in Liu Shu's words.
"Do you need me to take you there?"
"Need not."
"Okay, I'll tell you how to get out." It's hard to find the way in the Batcave without someone to lead the way.
"Aren't you afraid that I might sneak in through the exit?"
"Thank you for carrying me out from the bottom of the lake." It seemed that he didn't care about this.
After bringing Ryushu to the exit and opening the door for her, Bruce turned back.
"I thought there would be one more person in the house." I was already planning to spend time with her. It must have been very troublesome, but fortunately it wasn't necessary. Tim came out from the corner. He had been following behind.
"Her strength is at the level of Superman."
"Stronger than it looks." He has no muscles and no magic, but Bruce said it himself. Tim glanced at the words and lowered his head to modify the data in the database on his laptop.
"What about aggression?"
"It's also on Superman's level." Bruce didn't consider any reference at all. Normally, the Batcave would not be completely sealed with lead. Superman had already heard him call his name twice.
"But she looks fierce."
"Not bad." Bruce thought that this was just her appearance. They had been together for several days, and he had never seen her hit anyone. She would even secretly protect him. According to the nine-square grid of camps, she was considered lawful and good.
"You know I don't know anything." Tim wanted him to talk about what he did during his trip to England.
"I……"
"Master, someone is looking for you. He calls himself Sherlock Holmes." Ah Fu's voice came from the channel.
Bruce realized his next trouble was coming.
"What are you doing in Gotham?" Liu Shu looked at the two people in the car. Why did he see Sherlock in Gotham? And on the only way to Wayne Manor?
"Get in." Sherlock said concisely and gestured for Watson to open the car door.
Liu Shu, full of doubts, set off on the road in confusion. She looked at the rearview mirror inside the car and found that it was the familiar driver.
"Going to Wayne Manor?" She had just left.
"Help me, please." Sherlock turned around and regretted not taking the back seat again. "Can you be my bodyguard in Gotham? There's a salary."
Liu Shu looked at Watson, "You guys..."
She found that Watson was also confused.
"Why are we going to Wayne Manor? Isn't that the home of the richest man in Gotham?" Watson looked at the building that was getting closer and closer. He thought it was just an ordinary trip.
"Haven't you figured it out yet?" Sherlock was about to say something, but stopped himself. The only bit of emotional intelligence he had left was reminding him not to tell his former teammates' secrets in front of outsiders.
The driver looked at him in surprise, then looked away. No matter what, he was going to stop the car.
"How spectacular." Watson exclaimed for the first time since arriving in Gotham.
