Chapter 39 The friendship of three people is too crowded "Hmm!"
"Yeah!" Tim took the candy and took off his mask and sunglasses after getting in the car.
"I'm going to see a physics professor tomorrow." I won't argue again next time. Liu Shu lowered the car window to let the wind outside blow in.
"Do you want to study this later?"
"No, I had a quarrel with him."
"Huh?" Tim couldn't imagine what she would look like when she quarreled.
"There is obviously a problem. How could that parameter be higher than 0.8? His experiment..." Liu Shu said only two sentences and then stopped. She felt that it was not a good idea to say these things at this time.
This time, his angry expression seemed different from before. Tim tilted his head and said, "Then tomorrow, can you let me raise Di Ting? He'll be bored at home alone."
"You're not planning on tearing it down, are you?" Liu Shu patted the seat. "If it complains to me, you're screwed."
"How could I do such a thing?" Tim said righteously, and he looked like he was taking an oath.
"Then you can play with it, but I won't be responsible if it destroys the house."
"Will it destroy the house?" It doesn't look like it.
Just a disclaimer. Liu Shu looked at the familiar buildings outside the window. They had reached their doorstep. "Then I'll go put my things away."
"I'll go with you." Tim, who opened the door first, took her things.
He looked at Liu Shu who came out from his side. Logically, she should sit in the car and wait for him to open the door on the other side, but this was fine.
Just as Liu Shu took out the key, there was a rustling sound from the other side of the door.
“?” Tim had never kept a pet before. He clenched the thing in his hand and looked at Liu Shu with some caution as he opened the door.
"Woof!" Di Ting wagged his tail excitedly and sat upright at the door.
It has lost all its ornaments.
"What's wrong?" Liu Shu didn't know that the people around her were always on guard. She bent down and touched it, then put the thing in Tim's hand on the table in the living room.
"Who do you think invented pets?" Tim squatted on the ground, playing with Di Ting's paw. It would indeed make people feel better if they saw a cute little thing welcoming them after a busy day.
Fortunately, it wasn't a real animal. Liu Shu looked at his hand. If it were a cat or a dog, they would have bitten him by now. "Have you ever done this to other animals?"
"No, is there anything I should pay attention to when raising it?" Tim picked it up from the ground.
"Be careful?" Di Ting was usually used to find things, but it also had a more important mission: tracking fugitives. With this special use, saying "be careful" seemed perfectly acceptable.
Liu Shu put the collar around its neck. "It's actually quite well behaved, but it seems quite unethical to leave it without a leash."
Tim smiled softly, feeling civic-minded in Gotham. "Let's go."
"So where are we going?" Should he tell her where he was going? Liu Shu looked at his phone. "I want to go play with Winnie."
"That's fine, her home is..." Instead of asking if she's home, Tim walked down the stairs holding Di Ting. "Does she have time?"
"She said she was home." Liu Shu had forgotten whether she had locked the door because she was looking at her phone while leaving the house. She turned around and asked, "Did I just lock the door?"
"Huh? It's locked?" Tim shook the Diting in his hand. He didn't put it on the ground. "Then let's go directly to her house?"
"Do you know where it is?" Liu Shu hadn't asked Winnie yet.
"I've been there once." Tim closed the car door and told the driver an address.
"That's a party that can't be postponed."
Seeing that Liu Shu didn't care about the explanation, Tim quietly sent a message to Dick who had just returned home today.
"Tell me about it in detail when you come back."
Liu Shu turned off her phone and looked at the furry Di Ting. "Isn't this too sudden for us?"
"I think so." Tim put on a thoughtful expression. He just came to find the Red Hood Gang and wanted to see her when he passed by, but they ended up going out to play together.
"Next time, let's..." Wait, isn't this just asking him out? "Let's find her in advance."
"certainly."
Liu Shu turned her head to face the car window. She felt that she was very busy. In addition to the fixed study time every night, she also had to take time to see how Sherlock was doing.
Recently, there was another incident, the action of the Red Hood Gang. To be honest, she really didn't expect this to happen.
They soon arrived at Winnie's house.
This is a villa, although not as big as some of the houses Liu Shu has seen.
Winnie stood at the side of the road, with steps and an iron gate behind her. She waved at the two of them and said, "You've come just in time."
"What?" Liu Shu didn't know which one this was. Did she want to go out and play too?
"Mushrooms are growing on me at home." She took two steps forward and looked at the car parked in front of her house.
"I remember you didn't need anyone to play with you." How could she be bored? Tim opened the passenger door for her.
"They are holding banquets these days. If you were in my shoes, would you go?" Winnie hesitated for a moment, glanced at the back seat, and then smiled meaningfully.
Liu Shu, who didn't know what the two classmates were doing, sat back in the seat he had just sat.
Winnie turned around and smiled at Liu Shu, "Remember to ask him to open the door for you next time."
"Huh?" Why? Isn't this something that can be done with hands? However, since Winnie specifically reminded him of this, Liu Shu nodded and said, "Okay."
"What if there's a car accident, a robbery, or an assassination..."
"Well - then add a premise, when there are many people and it is not dangerous." Winnie found that what she said was actually very likely to happen in Gotham.
She said, then turned back again, "What is that? A puppy?"
“Woo!”
"Almost." Liu Shu didn't want to explain anymore, so let it be.
Even the owner has given up on introducing him. Tim touched Di Ting's head, feeling so pitiful.
"Is Tina okay?"
"I found a new doctor for her, mainly to take care of her body. She's taking classes now, and the doctor said she needs some social interaction."
"Then why are we on vacation?"
"I told you that our school has too many holidays," Winnie shook her head, "and you keep asking for leave. Do you know that you're almost becoming a campus legend?" She was referring to Tim.
Tim looked at Liu Shu innocently, "How could I not know? Did you? Am I scary?"
"Luckily, you don't look fierce at all," Liu Shu said, comparing himself to Jason. He reached out to Di Ting, the creature between them, and let it rest its paw on his palm. "It's very pretty. I'm sure you'll look like Bruce when you grow up."
"?" Winnie looked at the person behind her in disbelief. She pursed her lips and said nothing.
Being told he resembled Bruce seemed like a compliment, and Tim smiled and nodded, "Thank you."
Di Ting rested her head on Liu Shu's legs, feeling very safe and at ease. She turned her head away and didn't look at him again. "Did you often ask for leave when you were a child?"
"Not often..." Tim recalled his not-so-distant childhood.
Bruce ignored his identity at first, but soon realized it and asked him to go to school more. No matter how many skills he mastered or how many certificates he got, he insisted on sending him to school.
Things got much better when I entered high school. Bruce wouldn't say anything even if I often took leave to go to the company. At most, he would say that he had never experienced youth at all. I would regret making such sarcastic remarks about him later.
"What about you? I heard junior high school is very hard where you are."
"It's okay, I've almost forgotten..." It was like being covered by frosted glass. She only remembered the starlight on the way home and the cold rain and dew on the way to school. Liu Shu shook her head. She didn't want to think about it anymore. "How long will it take?"
"So are we going shopping?" Winnie didn't know their destination yet. She didn't even want to look at the two people behind her, and of course, she wouldn't remind them.
Unsure why Winnie suddenly smiled so strangely, Liu Shu blinked. Was that sinister? Was she imitating a villain's smile?
"It should be almost dinner time now," Tim said, looking at Winnie through the rearview mirror. "We've just been walking for a long time."
"I see—" Winnie nodded. "By the way, are you going to the one next week at the Keynes family's?"
"I haven't even bothered with the invitations yet. As I recall, every time they held a banquet, they would get robbed. They were a very unlucky family."
"Yeah, I don't even want to go, but his family is so powerful, I can't refuse."
Sometimes when listening to gossip you don’t need to know who is talking about it, you just need to know that it happened. Liu Shu looked at the road outside the window very seriously.
"It's been eight times. I really don't understand how their security is done."
"Are you okay?" She is not an ordinary person since she can survive eight robberies. Liu Shu couldn't help but look over.
Winnie raised her hand and rubbed her brow. She was still quite scared. "Batman is here. I'm not hurt. I'm just tired of squatting. We have to wear high heels all the time."
Sometimes she really envied the Wayne family, who could choose not to go if they wanted to, and it didn’t matter if they left in the middle of the day.
So that family has become their main focus. Tim's mouth curled up. Strangely enough, they are really unlucky and there is no other conspiracy.
"It sounds pretty weird." Liu Shu didn't expect such a thing to happen in Gotham.
"Yeah, if it happens for the ninth time, I'm really going to have to bring sneakers. Last time, I almost got a glass of wine spilled all over me."
"I thought you guys were just chatting with cups in strange corners. Isn't it a bit strange to wear sneakers?" Last time he attended Tony's party, Liu Shu had a general understanding of what they did at the party.
Winnie smiled happily. "I said this kind of thing is meaningless. Sometimes I feel like I'm just a background. I don't know who the protagonist is, but he can't be a robber, right?"
She didn't say anything more because the car had already stopped.
"Get out of the car." She ran around the car half a circle to Liu Shu's side, then helped her open the door.
"Thank you?" Liu Shu didn't know what this was for, but she thanked him politely.
Tim was helpless. He followed them, holding Di Ting in one hand and Winnie's bag in the other.
"Do you really want lemon tart? Isn't it a bit late now? Do you have a reservation?" Winnie knew the shop in front of her. The food tasted good, but it was a bit troublesome to buy.
"Don't worry." This store was bought when Bruce was shopping one of his times. Tim turned the Listener in his arms so that it could look forward.
"Put it down, it can walk by itself." Liu Shu turned around and felt that Tim looked very tired.
