Hu Bin grinned excitedly, and Ji Xia readily agreed.
The three of them used the signed receipt to settle the payment at the accounting department and left the department store.
After depositing money at the post office, Ji Xia gave New Year's gifts to several acquaintances at the textile and garment factories. Then, she and two companions went to the county government compound to find Su Yujing.
After not seeing her for several months, Su Yujing had become even fairer. She wore a bright red knee-length wool dress with a long cashmere coat over it, and light makeup. She looked radiant and poised, even more beautiful than before.
Upon seeing Ji Xia, Su Yujing excitedly grabbed her hand and said to her female companion, "This is the designer I was talking about. She designed all those wedding dresses, and everyone who has seen them loves them. I've seen many of her designs, and they are all very beautiful."
Ji Xia smiled sweetly at Su Yuqing's female companion, Su Yuqi, and turned back to laugh, "Don't exaggerate my abilities, it's really nothing special."
She handed the beautifully wrapped gift to Su Yujing: "These are mountain delicacies we picked, some local specialties for the New Year. Don't mind them."
"Don't worry about it. I've also prepared New Year's gifts for you, and I'm just about to send them to you!"
Su Yujing generously accepted her New Year's gifts, and then took out an exquisite gift box from the room: "I asked a friend to buy some pastries in the city, you should try them too."
"By the way, did you guys come to town this time? Did you get any new styles? Shall we find a place to have tea and chat?"
Upon hearing this, Ji Xia couldn't help but smile awkwardly: "I've arranged to meet with Comrade Hu Bin from the department store's purchasing department at noon to discuss the orders."
Upon hearing this, Su Yujing smiled broadly and said, "That kid Hu Bin? We know him too. Would you mind if we went to see him together?"
