"You're going to Huacheng? What are you going to Huacheng for?"
Upon hearing that Ji Xia was going out, Ji's mother disregarded the fruit trees and inquired about the reason with concern.
Ji Xia and Chen Jing exchanged a smile: "It's nothing special, but I heard there's a clothing wholesale market in Huacheng with many styles from Hong Kong Island. I'd like to go and check it out."

Chen Jing was familiar with the terrain, so he led her around the mountainside for a while until they arrived at a cliff face.
He suddenly bent down and used his hands to lift Ji Xia onto a rock about half a person's height.
Suddenly suspended in mid-air, Ji Xia cried out in surprise, her legs naturally wrapping around his waist, eliciting a muffled chuckle from Chen Jing.

Ji Xia forgot the moonlight and the starry sky, her fingers involuntarily running through his thick hair as she bent down.
Her sweet little tongue captivated all his thoughts. Chen Jing took the initiative, holding the back of her head with one hand and her slender waist with the other, pulling her closer to him.
All sensation in my body was swallowed up; the air was thin, my body temperature rose, and waves of tingling numbness swept through my spine, accompanied by shivers.
A gentle breeze blows through the summer night, carrying with it a faint whistling sound that fades away with the wind.
As the hillside finally quieted down at night, the moon slowly set in the west.
Chen Jing found a flat patch of grass, laid down a layer of dry grass, and then put his clothes on top to make Ji Xia more comfortable.
Ji Xia lay limply in his strong arms, squinting at the starry sky. She soon became drowsy, but didn't forget to remind him, "Remember to remind me to go down the mountain early."
"Don't worry, I'm here!"
Chen Jing lay down next to Ji Xia with a satisfied look on his face. The mountain breeze was cool at night, and the summer heat was gone. He felt very comfortable.
As dawn approached, Chen Jing dressed and carried the still-sleepy Ji Xia back from the mountainside.

Upon seeing Chen Jing, Lin Haodong glanced at Ji Xia on his back with a slightly provocative look, then suddenly tugged at his sleeve, revealing a gleaming gold watch on his wrist.
Since returning in April, Chen Jing has run into Lin Haodong two or three times.

Ji Xia has always been a renowned beauty, but since the annulment of her engagement, she exudes confidence and composure, with an elegant demeanor that makes her even more captivating than before.
The thought of breaking off the engagement made Lin Haodong feel a little annoyed. He looked her over carefully and finally found a faint bluish-black mark under her eyes.
"You look a bit tired. Are you feeling down? Did your college entrance exam not go well?"
