He pointed to the bruises below his neck and on his chest with two red tips: "You bit me last night, really hard, as if I had let you down."
"These are what you caught. There are more on your back. Do you want me to take them off so you can see?"
There seemed to be teeth marks still visible below her collarbone, and that sexy little point was a bit red and swollen. The scratches on her waist extended into her back. All these marks indicated that she was not only a scumbag, but also a ravenous wolf.
This was practically a social disaster scene. No, there was no one around. Chen Jing was kind enough not to embarrass her in front of outsiders.
Even so, Ji Xia was embarrassed enough, wishing she could dig a hole in the ground with her toes, crawl in, and bury herself.
Ji Xia blushed deeply, covered her face with her hands, and waved her hand weakly, "Stop talking, do whatever you want!"
Chen Jing slowly buttoned up his clothes, chuckling softly, "Last night you said that if I didn't agree, you would find a younger man."
Ji Xia was shocked, her gaze meeting his deep eyes in disbelief.
"You'd rather find a puppy for that? Tell me, can we not get married sooner?"
Ji Xia swallowed hard. This dog is not a dog, understand?
No, why would she talk nonsense when she's drunk, even mentioning a young, cute guy?
Before she could explain, Chen Jing stared at her intently, his expression a mixture of danger and restraint: "And you, explain to me what I mean by running off with a rich girl from the city?"
Ji Xia was so shocked by his words that she jumped up and stammered, "What? A rich girl from the city?"
"Yes, a city heiress. You think I would dump you and run off with another city heiress? In your eyes, am I a scumbag who falls in love with every girl he meets?"
"No, you're not, you're definitely not a scumbag."
Ji Xia shook her head frantically, silently crying for help.
She was wrong. She shouldn't have drunk alcohol, and she should never drink again in her life.
If it happens again, and another rich girl from the city is exposed, how will she explain herself?
Chen Jing glared at her angrily, and explained, "Yesterday was the first time I saw those two city girls. I have absolutely no liking for such unreasonable and unruly people."
"No, that's not what I'm worried about."
Ji Xia subconsciously shook his head. This heiress was not the same as the other heiress; his destiny was not with the two from yesterday.
No, how did she know which one he met yesterday?

"What dream?" Chen Jing frowned.
Ji Xia rubbed her head; it hurt.

Chen Jing stared at her like she was an idiot: "Who is this poor kid?"

Chen Jing glared at her angrily, and after a long while said, "And you? Where are you?"
Of course, she would be living a life of widowhood in the Lin family. Ji Xia sighed, "I don't know. I've never appeared. Maybe I'm too ordinary and not qualified to stand by your side."
Chen Jing chuckled and sat back down to eat his breakfast.
After cooling down for a while, the wonton wrappers softened and the taste changed, but he ate them with great seriousness.
Ji Xia felt a tightness in her chest and sighed inwardly.
"Oh no, I need to get over this drunkenness already!" she thought, at a loss for words, unsure how to explain herself.
Then, she'll regret stealing other people's marriage partners and breaking up couples.
Just then, Chen Jing finished his small wontons and said in a serious tone, "Today I'm going back to the brigade to have my mother find a matchmaker to come to our house and finalize our marriage. We'll try to have a wedding banquet after the autumn harvest."
Ji Xia was taken aback for a moment, and Chen Jing continued, "Let's not get the marriage certificate for now, we'll talk about it after you get into university. But let's settle our status first."
"That way you won't have impure thoughts whenever you see a man outside."
"What nonsense about wanting a man?"
Upon hearing this, Ji Xia couldn't help but glare at him playfully, momentarily forgetting to refuse the suggestion.

After a long pause, he comforted her, saying, "I won't take either a rich city girl or a country bumpkin. I will only ever be yours."

Ji Xia bit her lower lip and said softly, "If you marry a rich girl from the city, you'll have the chance to become the richest person in Jiang City and achieve great success. If you're with me, you might not have such a glorious life!"

Chen Jing reached out and took her soft little hand in his, smiling gently at her: "Don't worry, you're the only one in my heart, from when I was a child until now, that has never changed."

Chen Jing didn't know whether to be angry or amused. He had even thought about his child, yet he was still worried that the man might change his mind.
However, Chen Jing readily agreed and wrote an agreement for her to sign before the marriage to put her mind at ease.
