Several students from other schools looked over upon hearing this.
"Where did these country bumpkins come from? Do they have the answers?"
"Looking for comfort!"
"It's hilarious. They act like if they all gave the same answer, it means they're right."
Several students overheard the discussion among the city students, and one of them turned pale, looking like he was about to get angry.
Ji Xia grabbed them and silently shook her head at them.
"Let's check the answers after the exam. Checking them now might affect our mindset and the afternoon's exam, what if that happens?"
Upon hearing this, several classmates suppressed their anger, but their eyes still held a hint of resentment.
Ji Xia lowered her voice: "Playing dumb to fool others and making a fortune in silence is the key. Do you want people to know that you've done all these questions?"
One sentence dispelled the anger of a group of classmates around her. Ji Xia was right, just play dumb to take advantage of others, why get angry now?
Only their commune middle school had those materials. Most of their students had done a lot of practice tests and circled the key points. The real test of their abilities would naturally come after the college entrance examination.
"Okay, after all the tests are over, shall we go over the answers?"
"Okay! I'll treat you to dinner after the exam!"
"I'll treat you too, I haven't thanked you yet."
Several students smiled gratefully, left the provocative student behind, and chatted and laughed as they departed.
As Ji Xia exited the school gate, she saw Chen Jing, smiled faintly, and waved goodbye.
The test papers she brought back from the capital included all sorts of questions that had been used before. At least half of the questions on today's Chinese language test had been explained and practiced before.
In Ji Xia's view, as long as they have diligently completed the practice tests and listened to the teacher's explanations, scoring 50 or 60 points is a very simple matter.
If you score over 200 points in the total of the four subjects in the college entrance examination, even if you don't get into a bachelor's degree program, you can at least get into a junior college or a teacher's college.
If you still can't pass the exam, you're either stupid or lazy.
These students, who looked excited after the exam, were mostly those who felt good about the exam. Seeing Ji Xia, they felt grateful and wanted to express their gratitude.
The math exam went even better in the afternoon. After receiving the paper, Ji Xia discovered that she had done at least 70% of the questions before.
Ji Xia had a good foundation in mathematics, and after several months of intense competition, she glanced at the test papers as soon as they were handed out and smiled.
These questions weren't even as difficult as the practice tests she had done; they were completely easy.
She finished the math test in half an hour. The proctor noticed that she wrote very quickly and even circled around her a few more times, only to find that she started working on the questions as soon as she saw them, almost without thinking.
After finishing the math exam, she checked her work several times and felt much more at ease.
Even if she doesn't get a perfect score of 100, she's confident she can score over 95. With those two subjects combined, even if her scores in the last two subjects aren't great, she should still be in good shape.
The two-day college entrance examination went smoothly.
When the last political science exam papers were collected, Ji Xia smiled with relief.
Gao Yuanlong followed her out of the examination room, smiling at her: "You look relaxed and cheerful, you must have done very well on the exam, right?"
At this moment, Ji Xia was in a good mood and turned around with a slight smile: "You should be just as good, I saw that you finished the test very early too."
"I have to thank you. If you hadn't brought back so much information, I don't think I could have done it so easily."
No sooner had the words left his mouth than someone outside the school gate cried out in despair, "Oh my god, I chose B, I got this wrong again."
"I got several questions wrong too, these questions are so hard!"
Ji Xia and Gao Yuanlong exchanged a smile when they saw groups of students checking their answers outside the school.
This year, the commune middle school should be able to turn things around and wipe away the shame of having only one college student in the whole town last year.
Just as she was about to leave, she suddenly heard someone waving at her repeatedly: "A-Xia, Gao Yuanlong, over here, we're all here."
Ji Xia looked up and saw Yang Cuiqin and several other classmates.
The dozen or so students who were scheduled to take the exam at No. 2 Middle School all gathered together, just waiting for Ji Xia!
After this was over, they huddled together to compare the answers, feeling both frustrated and excited.
Ji Xia came over and greeted them: "How did your exams go?"
"I don't think the questions are too difficult; many of them are ones we've done before."
"I feel pretty good about myself, and I think I should get good results this year."
"If you do so many practice tests and still can't get good grades, then you've wasted your time studying."
The group expressed their excitement, and Ji Xia, hearing them mention doing practice tests, quickly lowered her voice to remind them.
Shh! Don't shout so loudly, or other schools will hear you.
Upon hearing this, several classmates lowered their voices, but their eyes were filled with gratitude as they looked at Ji Xia.
They are as grateful now as they were in so much pain and despair in the first two months.
What could be more exciting than discovering during an exam that most of the questions were ones that the teacher had already explained and that they had done before?
At the commune middle school, Ji Xia was recognized as having the best grades and a good memory, so everyone gathered around her to check their answers.
Ji Xia answered calmly. Although she hadn't memorized all four subjects, she had roughly checked them and couldn't help but feel secretly excited.
More than fifty people from the commune middle school took the college entrance examination. I can't say how many of them will be able to go to university. If we look at the admission scores from last year and the year before, I estimate that about half of them will be able to go to junior colleges or teacher training colleges.
The students at the commune middle school have been taking the exams for several months; they should be able to achieve good results.
After comparing their answers for a while, the group decided to meet at No. 1 Middle School.
Ji Xia, however, was accompanied by her family and always went about her own business. Yang Cuiqin then asked, "Ah Xia, are you planning to go back today?"
Ji Xia glanced at the sky and shook her head: "Let's leave tomorrow. Do you have a car to go back today?"
"Yes, Teacher Liu has arranged a bus for us. We'll have someone pick us up and drop us off. Would you like to come along?"
"No need, Chen Jing and I will go back tomorrow."
Gao Yuanlong and Yang Cuiqin did not insist: "Then we'll go first. By the way, Teacher Liu asked me to inform you that we will check the answers and estimate the scores at the commune middle school the day after tomorrow."
Yang Cuiqin, Gao Yuanlong and several classmates left. Ji Xia looked around, and Chen Jing had already walked through the crowd to her side.
"Come on, I found a restaurant that serves really good food. I'll take you there to try it."
Chen Jing excitedly took her hand, and Ji Xia couldn't help but smile.
Aren't you going to ask me how I did on the exam?
Chen Jing laughed and said, "Do I even need to ask? Looking at your relaxed expression, I know you'll definitely pass the exam."
Ji Xia's lips curled up slightly: "You have good taste."
"Of course, I knew you could do it from the moment you decided to retake the college entrance exam."
After riding his bicycle and taking Ji Xia through several alleys, Chen Jing led her to a farmhouse on the outskirts of a county town.
"Who said I'm stupid? I'm treating you to roast goose, how can I be stupid if I don't have any worries on my mind..."
Ji Xia slapped him hard from behind: "You're tone-deaf, howling like a banshee, what are you singing?"
Chen Jing turned around and made a funny face with a grin: "I'm trying to please my wife, so you won't kick me away after high school."
