Chapter 12 Lost Musical Instruments

Lu Yuguo looked at the ruins on the ground in front of him. In fact, most of them were broken bricks and cement waste.

The reason why the archaeological team did not use large machinery or robots to clean up was because they were afraid that there might be cultural relics hidden in the waste.

After all, it is a villa, and there are usually some decorations in the villa. The rich may also have collections or something.

Although robots are flexible, it is difficult for them to distinguish which are cultural relics and which are not. It would be heartbreaking if cultural relics were destroyed by robots.

Lu Yuguo thought that the subject of archaeology seemed to be hard work no matter what era it was!

Chen Yian arranged positions for Lu Yuguo and the others, and cleaned the place layer by layer, from top to bottom and from outside to inside.

He explained, "When cleaning the upper layer, it's okay to be a little rough, but you have to be careful below the middle layer."

"Okay." Lu Yuguo and the seniors responded and started to clean up.

Fortunately, there are robots to help, otherwise I would die just moving all that waste.

After cleaning for more than two hours, Lu Yuguo could hardly straighten his back.

He picked up a piece of scrap as big as a human head and handed it to the robot. Just as he was about to take a break, he saw that there seemed to be a black object under the scrap.

Lu Yuguo took a closer look, his eyes lit up, and he felt a little excited.

This thing looked familiar, but without seeing the whole thing, he couldn't guess what it was. He just felt that this thing was definitely from his era, so it was an antique here.

Regardless of the pain in his waist, he instructed the robot to take photos and videos for record, then squatted down and carefully cleaned up the waste bit by bit with a small skewer and a broom.

As the area cleared became larger and larger, and the general outline became clearer, Lu Yuguo became more and more excited. He couldn't help but shout, "Teacher, come quickly, come quickly, there's a discovery, a big discovery."

Chen Yian and several seniors looked at Lu Yuguo after hearing this, but they just smiled and shook their heads.

They didn't think Lu Yuguo would make any big discoveries. They just thought that since it was Lu Yuguo's first time at the excavation site, he made some small discoveries and thought they were big discoveries.

Seeing that they didn't seem to believe it, Lu Yuguo felt a little anxious.

He pulled down his mask, took a deep breath to calm his excitement, and then shouted, "Teacher, it's a zither, a guqin. It might be a lost guqin. This is really a great discovery."

"What, guqin?" Chen Yian was stunned for a moment and then ran away quickly.

When several seniors saw this, they stopped and ran from the edge to Lu Yuguo's side.

Chen Yian looked at the outline on the ground with a look of surprise, "Really, this outline really does look like a guqin, and that black thing on the guqin looks like the lost lacquer craft."

He squatted down and carefully helped clean up. Several seniors also excitedly helped.

After several people cleaned it, the entire guqin was soon revealed. Yin Yunquan said excitedly, "It's so beautiful! The lacquer is still very intact, and there are even words and inlaid flakes on it."

Chen Yian's face flushed with excitement. "The wood underneath the body of the guitar is also well preserved. It must be made of top-quality material to be preserved so well."

"Hey, teacher, there seems to be something else here." When Lu Yuguo was cleaning the outside of the piano, he found a small black pointed protrusion. The material looked very similar to that of the guqin.

"There's still some left. Hurry, be careful, and let the robots record, take photos, and video." Chen Yian moved to Lu Yuguo's side and started cleaning up again.

After a few people carefully cleaned up for a while, Zhao Jingbin made a new discovery. He said in surprise, "Teacher, there seems to be more here. The shape is a little different, but it seems to be a musical instrument as well."

Not long after, I found another round pointed head, which looked a bit like a flute.

"There's more here. Look what kind of musical instrument this is." Yin Yunquan cleared out something shaped like a pear.

Lu Yuguo was immediately excited when he saw the familiar object, "Pipa, it's a pipa."

"Let me see." Chen Yian took a closer look and said with a smile, "It's a pipa. Mr. Yang Shijing discovered a pipa before."

Lu Yuguo was a little surprised when he heard this. There had been news that a lost musical instrument had been discovered, but the instrument had not been announced yet. He thought it was a guqin, but he didn't expect it to be a pipa. The pipa had actually become a lost instrument.

For a moment, Lu Yuguo felt a little lost, and thought of his major in his previous life. In his previous life, he studied music, and his major was pipa.

He likes the pipa very much and has even composed many professional pipa pieces.

However, because I was short of money when I was in college, I sold a lot of songs to others. However, after others got the songs, they didn’t have to play them on the pipa.

Just like one of his popular songs, people thought it would sound better with electronic music, so they made his pipa music into an electronic music.

Lu Yuguo took a look at the pipa he had just discovered. No wonder he hadn’t found any information about the pipa in the original owner’s memory before.

I originally thought that the original owner had not yet learned this knowledge, or had lost his memory or something, but I didn't expect that the pipa had become a lost instrument.

For some reason, Lu Yuguo felt a sense of loss in his heart, as well as an inexplicable impulse. For a moment, he was a little confused.

There is no such profession as pipa in this world. Will he still be able to play pipa in the future?

"Teacher, this guqin can be considered a lost instrument."

Jie Xiang said, "Mr. Yang Shijing's discovery of just one pipa caused such a stir, and we've discovered so many here."

Yi Qiushui said excitedly, "Yes, there are so many ancient musical instruments. This is a big discovery for us!"

Lu Yuguo shook off the confusion in his heart and put aside all the trivial things for the time being. After listening to Yi Qiushui's words, he casually asked, "Will we be on the news?"

As he spoke, he subconsciously tilted his head, looked at the camera recorded by the robot and blinked.

"Maybe." Chen Yian said with a smile.

After hearing this, several people became excited and asked the robot to record it carefully and clean it up carefully.

They are the first discoverers, and they can brag about this in the future.

Several teachers and students were concentrating on the cleaning work.

Not long after, Lu Yuguo made another discovery, "Teacher has made another new discovery, it seems to be in the shape of a gourd."

"Okay, clean it up carefully." Chen Yian said excitedly.

As more and more musical instruments were unearthed, the teachers and students were very excited and discussed what this pit was used for in the past.

"Could it be a musical instrument store?" Yi Shuiqiu said.

"It doesn't seem like it. We've already investigated it. This used to be a villa area and a residential area. There shouldn't be a musical instrument store here." Yin Yunquan said.

Lu Yuguo thought for a moment and said, "I think there must be a master who is proficient in musical instruments living here. These instruments may be his collection."
