Chapter 26 Grapes

As the door opened, the painful roars of the mech warriors outside echoed in; they had just been through a fierce battle.

Knowing that the mech warriors were doing this to protect themselves, everyone shared their own, and one after another, people handed over the mental energy repair agents and stabilizers they had on them.

Lu Manman handed over two bunches of grapes without hesitation.

The flight attendant was stunned by what she saw, then reacted angrily, looking at the thin man in front of her, "Don't you know what time it is? Don't cause trouble, this is not the time to eat fruit."

The others also cast unfriendly glances at them.

Lu Manman didn't bother to explain. She simply picked two grapes and fed them to the warrior outside the safe house who was suffering from a mental breakdown.

Soon, the mech warrior quieted down, then clutched his head in pain.

The flight attendant immediately grabbed Lu Manman's wrist angrily, "What exactly did you feed him? Do you know how precious mecha warriors are? If anything happens to him, I'll kill you right now."

Everyone glared at Lu Manman with hostility.

After hesitating for a while, Zhao Jianguo finally mustered up the courage to step forward and explain, "He must have had a reason for doing this."

Based on their recent interaction, Zhao Jianguo felt that Lu Manman was a good person and not someone who would deliberately cause trouble.

Just as tensions were running high, the mecha warrior, who had just been wearing a mask of pain, stopped moving. He was now intoxicated by the mental comfort he was experiencing.

Realizing what had happened, she hurriedly opened her eyes and looked at Lu Manman in shock. "What did you just give me? A high-grade mental energy repair potion? Oh my god! There's even a grape-shaped mental energy repair potion! So this is what a high-grade mental energy repair potion feels like. It's so comfortable! My mental energy feels incredibly refreshed, and it tastes amazing too!"

Everyone was dumbfounded when they saw this.

The flight attendant was the first to react, looking at Lu Manman and asking, "What on earth is this?"

Lu Manman lowered her voice and said, "I bought this online. It's said to be able to restore mental strength."

The crowd was silent for a moment, then erupted into a commotion. The shock of the fact that fruit could restore mental energy made them forget the danger they were in.

People rushed forward to ask if it was real or fake, where they bought it, and if there was a link.

"It's the store that's trending on social media. You can go and buy from it if you want."

Someone in the crowd realized, "What those people said was actually true? I saw someone online saying with absolute certainty that fruit can cure mental illness and even gave him a piece of their mind."

"I've cursed before too."

"I also……"

"..."

After all, it trended on social media and was related to mental strength. Many people had seen that topic, but the number of people who actually bought the "Long Road Fruit" is just a drop in the ocean compared to the vast population of the interstellar world. Nobody would believe it unless they experienced it firsthand.

Another tremor shook the group, and they realized their predicament. The shaking then intensified.

"What's going on? Have they attacked again?"

The situation was urgent, and now was not the time to talk about these things. The staff member sincerely apologized to Lu Manman. "I'm sorry for my ignorance just now. If I hurt you, I'm sorry. Thank you very much for these two bunches of grapes. If you have any more, I hope you can forgive me and give us some more."

Many mech warriors suffer mental breakdowns under high pressure and intensity; with these, they regain their fighting strength.

Lu Manman immediately sent out three more strings, urging, "Stop talking nonsense and hurry up. Only if you win can we live."

The flight attendant, her eyes filled with gratitude, carefully picked up the grapes and rushed out quickly. With these, their hopes were amplified.

The grapes were quickly distributed to each crew member responsible for contacting the mech warriors. After explaining the precautions, each mech warrior received two grapes and was required to eat them immediately.

The warriors scoffed at the idea that it could heal their mental strength, taking it as a reward for their hard work. It wasn't until they ate the grapes and their mental strength returned to its peak—no, even better than its peak—that they realized how powerful this thing was.

Thinking that the starship had given them such good things, everyone's morale was even higher. Facing the even more ferocious Zerg than before, they rushed forward according to the command. The Zerg, who had just gained the upper hand, began to fight the starship again.

The safe house hadn't shaken for a while, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Zhao Jianguo looked at Lu Manman with admiration in his eyes, "You're really amazing. You actually have something like this. I never thought that the world outside of that garbage planet had developed to this extent."

His mental energy has been extremely volatile since childhood, and he has never known what it feels like to not have a headache. He really wants to try it out.

Lu Manman felt a little embarrassed upon hearing this, "I was just lucky, a blind cat stumbled upon a dead mouse and I bought some, but now they're all gone, out of stock."

"That's such a pity. Such a wonderful thing. If I had discovered it sooner, perhaps my father wouldn't have died." Zhao Jianguo was filled with regret as he thought of his father, who died from a mental breakdown.

Ever since Lu Manman took out the grapes, many people have been observing her movements. Now, hearing what Zhao Jianguo said, a man next to him couldn't help but sigh as well.

“My brother died because of this too. Countless people die every day in the interstellar space due to mental breakdown, either directly or indirectly. If only this kind of thing could be more widespread.”

"Yes! That would be so great." These words resonated with many people. Almost everyone in the interstellar community had friends or relatives who died due to mental breakdown.

They sincerely hope that these grapes can be widely available in the future. "If that day ever comes, I would be willing to die right now."

"Yes, I'd like to."

"I hope that the concept of mental breakdown will no longer exist in the world."

"..."

Lu Manman seemed to be deep in thought upon hearing this.

Outside the starship, the Zerg Queen was unhappy. It had been so long, and those guys still hadn't arrived.

The Queen signaled a full-scale attack, and at her command, the Zerg went berserk, frantically attacking the starship and quickly shattering the delicate balance on the battlefield.

The mech warriors and starships' firepower could not withstand the relentless attacks of the Zerg. In no time, the mechs were severely damaged by the Zerg's claws.

The safe house began to shake violently one after another, and everyone knew that something terrible was about to happen. Many people began to send their last words to their families.

Then the door to the safe house opened, and it was the same flight attendant from before.

The flight attendant looked at everyone with a grave expression. "Passengers, we can't hold on much longer. The army is rushing over and should arrive soon. Do not leave the house now. Lock up the safe house. The safe house should be able to hold out until the army arrives. Remember!"

As the flight attendant was about to leave after speaking, Lu Manman couldn't help but ask, "What about you guys?"
