The sky over the desolate planet was like a layer of gray, mottled, and indistinct gauze.
Jiang Zheyu felt that the pink color inside the room created an overly strong contrast with the outside.
Moreover, the entire room was decorated in a monotonous shade of pink.
Jiang Zheyu felt visual fatigue.
She couldn't very well approach Shan Xun and say she wanted to change some furniture, or get some different colors of furniture. Wouldn't that be directly telling him that she didn't like the room he had arranged for her?
To save face for both of them, Jiang Zheyu decided to find other orcs to do the job.
She opened the door and found orcs guarding it.
"What are your orders, noble lady?" The orc asked, placing his right hand on his left chest and bowing slightly.
"Hmm, are there any other pieces of furniture here? I'd like to pick out a few more." Jiang Zheyu asked with a slight smile, first stating that she wanted to pick out more furniture, not that she didn't like the furniture in the room.
Choose more pieces later, and then pick and choose the ones that are all pink.
"Do you feel you don't have enough furniture? What other furniture would you like? We'll go and bring it over for you," the orc quickly said.
"But I want to choose for myself." Jiang Zheyu looked at the orc silently, her amber eyes clear and expectant.
"Then, then come with us to take a look." The orc's cheeks flushed slightly, but his wheat-yellow skin made the blush less noticeable. "Which one do you fancy? We'll help you bring it back."
"Okay, thank you." Jiang Zheyu smiled gently.
"No, you're welcome," the orc stammered.
Is this what females are like? I haven't seen a female in so long that I'd forgotten what they looked like. I never expected them to be so gentle and adorable.
The other orc blushed as well; the female was really beautiful.
The orc and another orc led Jiang Zheyu to an empty room. It was quite dusty, but there was also a lot of new furniture, just covered in dust.
“There’s plenty of unused furniture here, Your Excellency. What else do you need? We’ll wash and clean it for you and move it over later.” The orc opened the room and went inside, adding, “It’s quite dusty here, so please stand outside.”
After hearing this, Jiang Zheyu decided not to go inside. Instead, he stood outside and casually picked out a few stools and chairs.
These are all light blue stools and chairs.
Soon, Jiang Zheyu returned to her room. She directed two orcs to help her move the pink table and chairs out and replace them with clean, light blue ones.
As soon as the orc carried out a pink stool, a hand appeared on his shoulder.
"What are you doing?" A man's emotionless voice came from beside the orc.
The orc turned around and saw the single team. He quickly put down the stool, placed his right hand on his left chest, and bowed slightly to reply: "Reporting to the single team, the female said she wanted to pick out more furniture, but then found that the room couldn't hold it all, so she asked us to bring out these stools."
Shan Xun removed her hand from his shoulder and shifted her gaze from him to the pink stool.
His deep purple eyes were slightly dark.
Didn't you say you were satisfied yesterday? Why do you want to change it today?
Jiang Zheyu noticed the situation outside the door and quickly came out: "Team Leader Shan, is something the matter?"
The other party must have noticed that she changed the furniture. She just told them she liked it yesterday, and today she started changing the furniture. Jiang Zheyu was actually quite embarrassed, but it was really too pink. How could someone be so extreme, with the entire room being pink? It really was all pink, even the inside of the wardrobe was pink.
Jiang Zheyu: ...
Hopefully, the other party will refrain from saying it directly, for the sake of their own dignity.
Jiang Zheyu's actions have already explained everything.
"Don't you like these colors of furniture?" Shan Xun looked down at her, his thick, sharp eyebrows always carrying an aggressive and unruly air.
He asked the question bluntly and directly.
Jiang Zheyu quickly spoke up to save face for both of them: "No, it's not that. I just wanted to pick out a few more pieces of furniture, but then I found that the house was too small. They had already helped me move them over, so in order not to make them come all this way for nothing, I changed to another set of furniture. Actually, I can accept any color of furniture."
"Just tell me if you don't like it." Shan Xun, with his thin, single eyelids and deep, half-closed gaze, looked down at her. "There's no need to beat around the bush like this."
These words, when they reached Jiang Zheyu's ears, were filled with hostility and displeasure.
Jiang Zheyu's lips moved slightly. Why did this person so bluntly tear off the pretense of civility?
Or is she just being too pretentious and concerned about saving face?
"Okay." Jiang Zheyu's long eyelashes, like butterfly wings, drooped slightly, and her head also drooped slightly.
She must have been pampered by her husbands too much before, and now that she's being scolded, she feels a bit wronged.
Pshaw, what's there to feel wronged about?
However, no one can completely accept being reprimanded in an unfriendly tone.
Dan Xun saw that the female had lowered her head, looking aggrieved and somewhat depressed.
It was as if he had bullied her.
A sense of irritation rose in Danxun's heart.
The orcs who were carrying furniture were now standing still.
"Keep going, what are you standing there for?" Shan Xun looked at the orc next to him.
"Okay, okay!" The beastmen realized what was happening and quickly started moving the furniture out again.
Jiang Zheyu kept his head down and didn't speak. Shan Xun stood beside him, neither moving nor saying anything.
The surrounding air seemed to have become somewhat stagnant.
She didn't see it.
The man standing next to her had his brows furrowed so deeply they looked like they could trap a mosquito. His deep, handsome, and sharp face was dark and brooding, and his deep purple eyes were churning with a variety of emotions: irritability, hesitation, and contemplation.
Did he say something wrong? Did he do something wrong?
Why is she unhappy? Why is she looking down?
"Hey, you..." Shan Xun finally couldn't help but speak up, in a commanding tone as if casually calling out to someone.
Jiang Zheyu lowered her head and could see the man's fist clenched tightly beside her. The veins on his tanned hand were still prominent, as if he had used tremendous force, and the veins seemed about to burst, as if the fist was about to land on her in the next second.
She was a little frightened. She had only changed the furniture; was this person going to hit her?
At this moment, they heard the man's slightly irritated and low-pitched voice.
Jiang Zheyu suddenly raised her head, her brown eyes flashing rapidly, and asked dryly, "Wh-what's wrong?"
"Unhappy?" Shan Xun asked directly.
To Jiang Zheyu, the tone sounded like a threat or intimidation.
