As dawn broke, Jiang Zheyu slowly got up. Aside from not being used to the bed on the first day, he could sleep well on the second day.
After she finished washing up, she opened the door and saw two orcs guarding the door. It really looked like she was locked up, with two orcs specifically assigned to guard her.
However, she knew that the two orcs were only standing there to protect her.
It does not restrict her activities.
"Good morning, noble female!" The two orcs greeted Jiang Zheyu.
"Good morning," Jiang Zheyu greeted them.
Then she remembered her purpose for today and asked the two orcs, "Do you know where Captain Shan is right now?"
"Captain Shan is probably at the training ground again," the orc replied.
"Then take me to him." Jiang Zheyu smiled slightly. "I have something I want to ask him."
“Yes, esteemed female.” The orc replied and led the way.
There were no orcs on the road, and the area was extremely sparsely populated.
Jiang Zheyu followed the orc toward the training ground.
An orc walked towards Jiang Zheyu from the front. As he passed Jiang Zheyu, the orc suddenly swayed and was about to fall. Jiang Zheyu subconsciously reached out and grabbed the orc's arm, but felt a sticky and wet sensation in his palm.
The orc suddenly grabbed Jiang Zheyu's arm, looked up at her, his eyes filled with a desperate longing for life: "Save me..."
Jiang Zheyu opened her mouth: "What's wrong with you?"
She couldn't save him; if he was bleeding, he needed to go to the hospital inside the research institute.
She was just about to ask where the hospital of the nearby orc research institute was?
But she didn't even have time to react.
As she finished speaking, a loud gunshot rang out.
Like a scorching wind brushing across her face, a bullet pierced straight through the orc's forehead, blood spurting out and splattering hot blood all over Jiang Zheyu's face.
The orc's eyes widened.
Jiang Zheyu's heart began to pound violently, and his whole body stiffened slightly, unable to move.
The next second, Jiang Zheyu felt his arm being pulled.
Shan Xun appeared beside her without her noticing, pulled her behind him, and then several more gunshots rang out.
A small team of members chased after them.
"Take him away and deal with him," Shan Xun said coldly. "Also, test all the orcs for any signs of insectoid parasites."
Everyone the orc had just come into contact with was taken away.
"Should the females be taken down for examination as well?" an orc asked Shan Xun.
Dan Xun turned around and saw that the girl seemed a little dazed. He paused for a moment and then said, "No need, I'll examine her myself."
Jiang Zheyu's mind, which had been blank, slowly began to function again.
She pursed her lips slightly.
Orcs may be parasitized without their knowledge.
Was that orc already parasitized? I can't tell at all.
Shan Xun grabbed Jiang Zheyu's wrist and headed towards the research building: "Come on, let's go get checked out."
Jiang Zheyu wiped his face, which was covered in blood.
Last time, when Shan Xun tore apart the Zerg, he bleed her face. Now, after killing the Orc, he bleeds her face again.
It always terrified her.
Jiang Zheyu felt that if this happened a few more times, her heart would either gradually become stronger, or she would die of a heart attack.
"How do I check?" Jiang Zheyu noticed that this person walked with large strides and very fast pace, as if carrying a swift wind. She could only keep up by jogging.
"There are two ways the Zerg can parasitize you. One is that you accidentally ingest the Zerg eggs, and the other is that they enter through your wounds," Shan Xun quickly explained. "Other orcs are tested directly by taking off their clothes, but because of your special status, you are here in the research building to be tested by the machine."
"I see." Jiang Zheyu nodded.
Jiang Zheyu jogged after Shan Xun into the research building, feeling the blood on his face was very painful. Without water, he could only keep wiping it with his hands.
Dan Xun, standing next to him, acted as if it were all business, completely unaware that Jiang Zheyu had become listless because of the blood on his face.
She should wait until the check-up is finished before going back to get a basin of water to wash her face.
Dan Xun noticed out of the corner of his eye that the female looked listless again. He didn't know why, but she seemed unhappy, which annoyed him.
"You're unhappy again." Shan Xun's voice slammed down coldly. "Why are you unhappy again?"
Jiang Zheyu paused, then looked up at him listlessly: "It's nothing."
She should go get checked quickly so she can wash her face.
"Tell me what you want me to do. Don't keep all your unhappiness bottled up inside; I can't guess." Shan Xunmou tightened his grip on Jiang Zheyu's wrist. His dark eyes stared at her, a hint of irritation flashing in his deep purple pupils. "Order me. You can order me around unconditionally."
Jiang Zheyu was stunned for a moment; even her command to him sounded like a command.
But looking at the other person's serious and stubborn expression...
Since that's what they've said.
"I want to wash my face, I feel so uncomfortable," Jiang Zheyu said quietly.
Dan Xun paused, not expecting this reason, and his gaze fell on Jiang Zheyu's face, which was stained with blood and looked somewhat messy.
The red blood on her face varied in shades, yet her beautiful and delicate features were still clearly visible, and her tea-colored eyes resembled diamonds set in amber.
It's ugly, but it looks pretty.
"Okay, come with me." Shan Xun quickly looked away, her long eyelashes drooping slightly, and took Jiang Zheyu's hand as they walked forward.
"Shouldn't we get checked first?" Jiang Zheyu was also quite afraid of parasites.
"If the Zerg have already parasitized us, it won't make a difference sooner or later." Shan Xun grabbed Jiang Zheyu's wrist and headed towards the toilet.
Jiang Zheyu still had to jog to keep up with his pace.
She then recalled what the other person had just said: that she could command him unconditionally.
"Captain Shan, slow down, I can't keep up." Jiang Zheyu silently gritted his teeth.
Dan Xun paused, and his pace indeed slowed down.
Jiang Zheyu glanced at Shan Xun subconsciously and found that Shan Xun's cold and stern face was still very fierce, and he couldn't see any other emotions.
That's what he said; she can order him around.
A short while later.
Jiang Zheyu saw the toilet in front of him. Yes, it was the men's toilet, and there was only one men's toilet.
"Captain Shan, is it inappropriate for me to go into the men's restroom?" Jiang Zheyu asked hesitantly.
"There's only the men's restroom." Shan Xun said, glancing at Jiang Zheyu, then pulled her inside. "I'll go with you."
Jiang Zheyu: ? ? ?
"Wait, wait, wait." Jiang Zheyu's feet seemed to be rooted to the spot, refusing to move an inch no matter what.
Shan Xun turned to look at her, his eyebrows slightly lowered: "What's wrong? Just say it."
"Could you call everyone else out? I prefer to go to the bathroom alone." Jiang Zheyu blushed.
I didn't understand the question, but I did it anyway.
"Go inside, I'll keep watch outside." Shan Xun looked at her.
