"Two, one..."
The system's countdown has reached one.
Jiang Zheyu didn't know whether the system had actually separated from him or not, but after the system counted to one, Jiang Zheyu's mind became completely quiet.
"System, system?" Jiang Zheyu tried calling out "system" in his mind a few times.
But there has been no response.
The system has probably really left.
After Jiang Zheyu learned that the system was leaving, he suddenly felt a little reluctant to let it go.
She tried to summon the system shop in her mind and found that she could still summon it. Moreover, the system shop would display its balance of points in the upper left corner, which was the number of points that could be purchased.
Jiang Zheyu slowly pulled himself out of the emotional turmoil of the system leaving.
A damp, slightly prickly sensation came from my cheek.
Jiang Zheyu slowly came to her senses, her eyes focusing on the wild beasts in front of her. These wild beasts were the incarnations of her beast husband.
She silently sat up from the ground, and as she sat up, the heads of the wild beasts moved along with her.
The giant snake's forked tongue licked her face, and its breath seemed heavy as it sprayed onto her skin.
Jiang Zheyu instinctively hugged his head, looked at the giant snake's red vertical pupils, and slowly said, "Su Yan, why don't you turn back into human form?"
Jiang Zheyu felt her wrist being wrapped by a black tail, as if it was trying to pull her hand away and prevent her from keeping it on the giant snake's head.
She glanced to the side and saw a large black leopard. Its long tail was gripping her wrist, and it was acting very urgently and violently. The leopard's paws slapped the ground a few times.
Jiang Zheyu had no choice but to follow the force of his tail and reach out to slap the leopard on the head: "Feng Qi, don't think that just because you've turned into a leopard, I won't recognize you. Let go of your tail!"
The large black leopard seemed a little aggrieved after being patted on the head, and as if it could understand Jiang Zheyu's words, it silently released its black tail.
Jiang Zheyu had just finished scolding the leopard when she felt her other wrist being sucked. Sharp teeth landed on the skin of her wrist, only biting lightly, not trying to bite off her hand, but just holding her hand in their mouth and pulling it to the side.
Thus, Jiang Zheyu's attention was successfully diverted to his other hand.
She glanced to the side and saw a black wolf. The wolf was biting her arm and pulling her to the side with its mouth wide open. Its purple eyes were staring at her fiercely, and its tail was wagging incessantly, giving off a very impatient and violent feeling.
Jiang Zheyu knew who the beast was as soon as he saw the black wolf. It was clearly Shan Xun, judging from the purple tinge mixed in with the black of its tail. Such a distinctive wolf tail was obviously Shan Xun's.
Jiang Zheyu then tugged at his hand, which was being held in the wolf's mouth, and silently looked at the black wolf: "Let go quickly."
But the black wolf just kept biting, and although it wasn't very strong, it just wouldn't let go.
Jiang Zheyu then stretched out his other hand and patted the wolf's head a few times, saying in a low voice, "You won't agree to become my beast husband, so why are you pulling my hand? Really."
Even so, he still refused to let go of her arm, and even gently licked her arm with his wolf tongue.
"Let go of me now." Jiang Zheyu gritted his teeth. He refused to become her beastly husband, yet he was acting like a hooligan. It really infuriated her.
For some reason, she added, "If you don't let go, then you're agreeing to be my beast husband."
Jiang Zheyu thought that Shan Xun would let go of her hand after hearing this, but he still didn't. She was puzzled and a little surprised. Could it be that he really thought it through and wanted to become her beast husband?
"Ahem, have you really thought it through? Do you want to become my beast husband?" Jiang Zheyu slightly curled her lips and looked at the black wolf beside her.
But Black Wolf remained silent, only staring at her with his purple eyes.
Jiang Zheyu then said to himself, "If you don't say anything, then I'll take that as a yes."
The black wolf growled softly, its tongue licking across her wrist once more.
"Alright, alright, you've licked my hands raw." Jiang Zheyu struggled free again.
Black Wolf seemed to sense the impatience in her eyes, so this time he didn't keep pressing on her wrist. Instead, he gently loosened his grip, allowing her arm to be pulled apart, as if he was afraid that her arm would be scratched by his sharp teeth.
Jiang Zheyu saw two large, furry things on either side of his legs.
A red nine-tailed fox and a silver white tiger.
Jiang Zheyu recognized them at a glance; these were her two husbands.
The red nine-tailed fox is her chosen beast husband, the Grand Judge.
The large silver tiger is Yin Ji, which I acquired not long ago.
Jiang Zheyu looked at the beasts around him and counted them one by one. There were five beastmen in total.
Hmm, Su Yan, Feng Qi, Shan Xun, Ze Xun, Yin Ji.
I counted again, and there were still only five.
Wait a minute, it seems like one is missing.
What about her robot husband, Jiang Yi?
After the appearance of the Queen Insect, all the universes were plunged into darkness and signals became disordered. Jiang Zheyu wondered if this would affect Jiang Yi and how he was doing. He was worried because the Queen Insect would affect those signals, and Jiang Yi was a robot, so he would probably be affected by these signals as well.
However, now that the insect queen has been killed and the signal disorder has disappeared, Jiang Yi should be fine.
But where has Jiang Yi gone now?
And why did her beast husbands all revert to their beast forms and not say a word?
"Su Yan?" Jiang Zheyu called out softly to Su Yan, subconsciously turning her head to look at him, wondering how he would react to her call.
The giant black snake noticed that she was looking over and making some kind of noise. It instinctively assumed that the voice was calling him, so it brought its black snake head closer and flicked its red tongue across Jiang Zheyu's face.
Jiang Zheyu paused. The other person did respond when she called his name, so why didn't he speak?
"Su Yan, why aren't you saying anything?" Jiang Zheyu asked silently. "Why have you all turned back into your beast forms?"
The giant black snake didn't react at all; it just kept licking her face.
Jiang Zheyu: ?
A sense of doubt arose in her mind.
Moreover, when she looked into those snake eyes, she saw only affection for her beast companion, or rather, they were very similar to the large snake in Su Yan's spiritual domain.
