Jiang Zheyu was unaware of interstellar history, and the original owner of the body also had no memories of interstellar history.
She hadn't done any research, so she was completely ignorant.
“Let’s go inside.” Ze Xun turned his head to look at her.
Jiang Zheyu followed Zexun into the Imperial Capital Museum.
The two of them received an exhibition brochure.
She knew why she had to accept it, because the museum was really, really big, enough to have ten floors, plus five more floors below.
Each floor of the exhibition represents a different era.
The exhibits on the ground floor cover interstellar history from the last 100 to 500 years, and are all of special significance.
For example, the Frightened Wing mech in the middle of the first floor is as tall as the entire floor and occupies a huge area.
Jiang Zheyu was still somewhat amazed when he saw the mecha in person. The smooth, silvery armor and the two huge silver panels behind it, even though one side was broken in half, the mecha was kneeling on one knee with its head lowered, and the iron fan of the mecha's fist was shattered into pieces, still carried a kind of battle-damaged beauty.
This made her want to go back and see Su Yan's Red Shadow Mech!
She had only seen Su Yan's Red Shadow mecha on the StarNet; she had never seen it in real life.
"Miss Jiang, shall we explore this floor first?" Ze Xun suggested, noticing that Jiang Zheyu had shown some interest in it.
"Okay." Jiang Zheyu nodded.
So Jiang Zheyu followed Zexun around. Whenever Jiang Zheyu stopped in front of an exhibit, Zexun would carefully explain the exhibit and its related history to her, which was more detailed and insightful than the official introduction on the exhibit.
"Mr. Ze, you know so much." Jiang Zheyu discovered that Ze Xun understood almost every single exhibit and had a wealth of knowledge about them.
“These exhibits can all be found on the StarNet.” Ze Xun smiled slightly. “Their related history is also on the StarNet. I’m somewhat interested in this, so I know a little about it.”
Jiang Zheyu also noticed that some orcs were actually listening attentively to Zexun's explanation, while the tour guide who was trying his best to explain wasn't getting much attention.
"Have you noticed that there seem to be a lot more people behind us?" Jiang Zheyu leaned closer to Zexun and whispered with a smile, "You explained it so well that they don't want to listen to the tour guide's explanation anymore; they all just want to listen to you."
If the tour guide's explanation was the official one, then Zexun's explanation was based on his own understanding and his own perspective on the exhibits.
Zexun had actually noticed this long ago, but he didn't care.
"Do you also think I explained it well?" Ze Xun looked at Jiang Zheyu. In fact, he only cared about her. He would continue to talk if she found his explanation interesting. If he found that she was a little tired of his explanation, he would stop talking and start another topic.
"Yes, very good." Jiang Zheyu's eyes crinkled as she affirmed.
Through Zexun's explanation, she was able to gain a basic understanding of interstellar history from the last one to five hundred years.
For example, the major revision of the Star People's Law five hundred years ago, due to the near extinction of females, led to the introduction of a series of measures to protect females, which is why there are more females now. However, compared with male beastmen, their numbers are still extremely small.
Jiang Zheyu followed Ze to an exhibition floor of the ancient Earth.
The scarcity of the exhibits is evident from the sparseness of the space they occupy.
Jiang Zheyu was rather curious about what ancient Earth items they were exhibiting.
A moment later she saw the exhibit inside the glass: a dilapidated, broken, and dirty old-fashioned mobile phone.
She fell silent for a moment.
“There are relatively few books about ancient Earth,” Zexun said slowly beside her. “All we know is that it was a blue planet that exploded and disappeared into the universe. These exhibits were also found by chance in the universe. Through technical surveys, we know that they came from hundreds of millions of years ago and are the oldest known artifacts.”
"Like this." Jiang Zheyu paused for a moment, feeling a sense of absurdity, as if an ordinary everyday item had been placed in a high-end museum.
Here you'll find modern items such as televisions, candles, chargers, motorcycles, bicycles, and more.
They were placed here simply because their ages were determined to be very old.
Moreover, the ancient Earth exploded and disappeared, along with an entire civilization.
"System, is Earth really gone?" Jiang Zheyu asked the system in his mind. "Could it be that I didn't transmigrate into a book but instead traveled to the future?"
"Host, you can think of it as you've traveled to an alternate history," the system explained to her. "And some of the history of this alternate history is similar to the ancient Earth you were on before."
In terms of the system, this ancient Earth is different from her ancient Earth.
"Alright then." Jiang Zheyu had no choice but to agree after hearing the system's explanation.
“Miss Jiang posted a video before, which seemed to be about classical dance from ancient Earth.” Ze Xun smiled and looked at her. “I’m a little curious, I wonder if Miss Jiang could tell me about it?”
Upon hearing this, Jiang Zheyu looked at Zexun. The history of the classical dances she performed was naturally related to the history of ancient Earth, but there were no books on this subject in interstellar space. It would be difficult for her to say directly that she knew this information from somewhere else.
She blinked gently: "Actually, that was just a gimmick to attract people. I don't know anything about real classical dance."
Zexun didn't have much doubt after hearing her explanation and accepted it easily.
After all, even someone like him who had access to the Empire's secret archives didn't know anything about the history of ancient Earth, let alone a female from a remote planet.
The two did not dwell on the classical dance.
Jiang Zheyu continued to follow Zexun around and discovered that the museum was indeed exceptionally large. It was almost noon, and they had only seen half of it.
"Miss Jiang, let's reschedule for the other half next time." Ze Xun was always quick to sense Jiang Zheyu's thoughts.
For example, if she's thirsty, he'll buy her a bottle of water; or if she's tired now, he'll offer her a way out by suggesting they meet again next time.
Jiang Zheyu discovered that he was incredibly thoughtful.
She did feel quite comfortable around him.
"Sure," Jiang Zheyu replied. "We can visit the rest of the museums together next time."
Ze Xun drove Jiang Zheyu home. When Jiang Zheyu got out of the car, he took out a large bouquet of pink roses from the back of the hovercar. The roses were still covered in dew, and each one was delicate and fresh. Ze Xun must have had them put in the museum when they were there.
"Miss Jiang, this is for you." Ze Xun handed her a large bouquet of pink roses, looking down at her with a gentle, affectionate smile in his peach blossom eyes.
Jiang Zheyu always had the illusion that he was about to kneel down and propose to her.
"I won't accept the pink roses. I had a very pleasant time with Mr. Ze today." Jiang Zheyu paused for a moment, then looked up at Ze Xun slightly, without reaching out to take the pink roses.
