Chapter 140 Popcorn

"It's too early now, let's have some snacks first, I have some candy here."

As she spoke, she began to rummage through her small storage space, which was only about 20 square meters. There were too many things inside, so she had to search carefully.

"Here we have dried sweet potatoes and rice balls."

Looking at the food in front of me, there didn't seem to be much, just two plates, which seemed a bit meager.

She did have some corn seeds she had redeemed in her space, but she hadn't started planting them yet because she was worried they weren't in season.

"Grandpa Lu, wait a minute, let's eat popcorn."

This is really simple and quick to make. Just add oil, heat the pan, and put in the baby corn. Luckily, Xiaomi reminded me, otherwise she almost forgot that I needed to use baby corn.

There was a little bit of cream and sugar left in the room, just enough to make two flavors.

Caramel and cream—come to think of it, she hasn't had any snacks in a long time. Things have been piling up lately, and she hasn't had a proper rest.

Once you hear the popping sounds in the pan stop, add the cream and caramel.

It can be eaten after it cools down.

The same goes for popcorn, but if you eat too much popcorn, your stomach won't be able to hold anything else, so I won't make it anymore.

The spaceship was usually deserted and felt cold and lifeless. Now, a small snack has been made, with a faint creamy aroma. It's not very strong, but it adds a touch of approachability to the spaceship and reduces its unapproachable aura.

When she first came in, Lu Yulan felt almost as awkward as Grandma Liu visiting the Grand View Garden, but now she felt much more at ease.

Smelling the wafting fragrance, the bald man, who had been fascinated by the spaceship, switched it to automatic flight mode and walked over.

Chen Ping stood somewhat awkwardly to one side, and Lu Yulan felt as if she were seeing herself in him just now.

He brought out a small plate and handed it to Chen Ping.

"Eat up, it's free, I won't charge you."

"Thanks."

"You're welcome. We've dealt with each other so many times, we're practically friends, aren't we?"

Lu Yulan blinked, trying to lighten the mood. Chen Ping pursed his lips and smiled shyly, "Yes, you and General Lu are my benefactors, and I will never forget them in this lifetime."

"So, what are your plans for the future? Grandpa Lu will stay with me on Rose Star, what about you?"

Chen Ping's eyes were blank for a moment. After the last incident, Mi Xing had been acquired by General Lu. He could have gone back, but General Lu arranged for him to be by Marshal Lu's side. He thought he would take care of Marshal Lu for a while and then go home when things calmed down. Now General Lu has passed away.

He asked to leave, yet he felt ungrateful; if he didn't leave, he felt like Marshal Lu was supporting him, especially since Marshal Lu had given away most of his assets to appease the soldiers. He felt conflicted.

"I...I don't know, it depends on Marshal Lu's opinion."

"That means you'll stay on Rose Star too."

Seeing Lu Yulan's eyes light up, Chen Ping took a step back. He thought to himself, "Even if we're friends, does she need to be so happy about staying?"

Lu Yulan silently calculated in her mind that with Uncle, Liu An, and Chen Ping, that should be enough.

Then, she walked up to Grandpa Lu with a smile.

"Grandpa, when we get back to Rose Star, can I borrow someone from you?"

Grandpa Lu held a popcorn in each hand, dancing in the air. He glanced at Lu Yulan and knew what she meant.

"You mean Chen Ping? He's not under my jurisdiction. If you want to borrow him, he just needs to agree."

"Then thank you in advance, Grandpa Lu."

Thinking about it, there is something I need to tell Grandpa Lu.

"Grandpa, can you turn on the personal computer?"

"What are you doing? Why are you being so mysterious?"
