Chapter 394

After all the new students had left, the staff looked at Lu Yulan and the little pet next to her.

"Professor Lu, should we set up camp nearby, return to space, or go underground?"

There are quite a few options.

"Let's find a secluded place to camp. I'll wander around and be right back."

The staff exchanged glances, leaving one person to follow Lu Yulan at a distance, while the others began to build the camp.

The snow was so heavy that the roads were almost completely blocked. To be honest, there didn't seem to be any roads at all. The blue roses that Gu Chen and I saw last time were still in full bloom, even dancing in the cold wind.

The landing site was chosen by Lu Yulan, so it was like revisiting an old haunt. A few steps from here would take you to Lu Xiaozhu's hometown.

The large, dark blue pit next to it is still there, and the water inside has even risen quite a bit, probably because snow drifted in and melted.

Lu Yulan let her imagination run wild, then slowly walked forward, with Lu Xiaozhu following behind her, each step leaving a deep pit.

...

An underground testing center.

Two men, completely wrapped in protective shields, appeared in the monitored area, yawning.

"Tell me, when are we finally going to get out of this hellhole?"

"Who knows? It should be soon. I've been sitting here for years and I'm so bored. What's the use of such a high salary? I can't even spend it. The girls outside are much prettier."

After saying that, the two exchanged a knowing smile, a rather lewd chuckle.

"It should be soon. They made a fortune from this batch of medicine. We can go public now."

One of them shook his head.

"That's not necessarily true. You've forgotten what they sent over last year, right? That was... they're really bold."

"Damn it! If I had known they were capable of anything, I would never have come here to work."

The two chattered on and on, both feeling a bit annoyed, and eventually made their way to the shift change area.

"Your shift's over. Are you all done yet? You're always running around faster than a rabbit, but today you're sitting here so quietly. What's going on? Are there some pretty girls outside?"

As he spoke, he patted the man sitting motionless on the monitor. Unexpectedly, with the pat, the man, who had been standing upright, collapsed into the chair like a snowdrift.

As the snowflakes collapsed, a swarm of small black insects flew up from his corpse, which was now nothing but skin.

The buzzing sound instantly surrounded the two staff members on duty.

The two were so frightened that they collapsed to the ground, only to find that the insects kept hitting their protective suits and couldn't get in.

"Waaah! What do we do now! How come there are so many bugs? They weren't in the incubator."

"Why are you still thinking about this? Let's run!"

He knew how powerful these insect beasts were, especially the latest batch. That perverted researcher must have added something to them; those who resisted him were fed insects.

"I... I can't run anymore, my legs are weak."

...

"Go to hell, you son of a bitch, are you going to get weak in the knees right now? Are you looking for death?"

The other person was so angry he wanted to kick him, but they had been colleagues for years and were both human; even if he were to die, he couldn't bring himself to do it.

"Old Guo, please save me, please save me, I don't want to die!"

The other person used their last bit of strength to pull on his foot.

"Damn it, stop pulling! If you pull again, we'll both die here! I'll save you!"

The man named Lao Guo looked around, searching for a suitable tool to try and kill the insect beasts!
