Chapter 663

The Empress's study.

Sophia crossed her arms and looked at the Empress, who was hidden by stacks of documents. "Mother, are you really going to step down? I don't want to be Empress now."

The female official beside her whispered in Sophia's ear, "Princess, His Majesty has agreed to choose the next empress in seven days. If you don't want to be the empress, are you planning to give it to that person who appeared out of nowhere?"

Sophia wrinkled her nose. "Isn't she Aunt Su Guo's daughter? She's also a member of the royal family, but she's the crown prince. Let her be one. I'm already exhausted from being a princess. If I were the crown prince, I wouldn't grow tall."

Sophia lazily sprawled on the desk, causing the pile of documents to roll onto the floor. The Empress pressed her temples, trying to hold back; this was her own daughter, she couldn't hit her.

But, the crown prince?

The Empress scrutinized her daughter for a while. This was not something her daughter could say. Just as she was about to ask who taught her, she saw Sophia stand up with a happy expression.

"Mother, you're stepping down at such a young age, it's perfect time for you to play badminton with me. I've recently plucked a lot of beautiful feathers."

"There are red ones, blue ones, white ones..."

Counting on her fingers, the Empress glanced at the female official and gestured for her to take Sophia out.

"Princess, come on, I'll play badminton with you. His Majesty has a minister to see right now."

A smug glint flashed in Sophia's eyes, then she deliberately feigned a pitiful look and stretched out her hands, "I want to be carried out. I don't want to walk. It's too tiring."

The female official sighed helplessly; the princess was still a little devil. "Alright, I'll hold you. The princess has gained weight recently, so remember to lose weight."

No way.

The two of them walked out of the Empress's room, bickering, and happened to run into Su Guo, who was on her way to pay her respects. Su Guo was wearing a light gold evening gown that trailed on the ground.

Sophia frowned. The overpowering floral and fruity scent wafted towards her, and she... didn't like it!

With Wei Guang dressed neatly behind her, Sophia jumped off the lady-in-waiting's back and walked up to Wei Guang.

"Play badminton with me."

"No, Xiaoya, Brother Wei has something to do right now. He'll spend time with you after he's done, okay?"

Sophia glanced at Su Guo sideways, "Is it all for this golden peacock? You don't want me anymore?"

"no."

Wei Guang wasn't good at comforting girls, especially when he thought about what his uncle had said about marrying Sophia. Now, just seeing Sophia made the hairs on the back of his head stand on end. He was terrified. He wasn't a pervert.

Sophia is clinging to me so much now, could there really be some twisted feelings between us?

"If not, then come with me."

"Lady, guards, drag him away. If he doesn't leave, throw him in jail."

Su Guo quietly looked at Sophia, what a proud little princess. She probably realized around the age of five that her destiny would no longer allow her to be so domineering.

This is her sister's child; it seems like it really isn't suitable!

"You are some kind of Lan?"

"She's really ugly!"

With that, he stepped on Su Guo's foot and then turned and left.

Watching this scene, Wei Guang cast an apologetic look at Su Guo. The royal family only has this one little princess, so it's normal that she's spoiled.

Su Guo looked at the tiny shoe print on her foot, which seemed strangely amusing. She raised an eyebrow and politely addressed the female official beside her.

"Let's continue. I'm sure His Majesty is eager to see me."

"Yes."

Su Guo stepped into the Empress's study. She was engrossed in reading documents, just like many years ago.
